I always hear a lot of stories about people having to cope with jetlag, and all the little tricks one can do to overcome it. Well, did you know, besides being a wonderful website, BCTS is also good for avoiding jetlag...

Dizzy! I'm so dizzy, my head is spinnin'

I just have to say this, and I can't resist any longer. In Part 9 of The Girl Most Likely To ... there is a couple of comments about the story being fast paced, almost warp speed.

Well, the way these other stories are being posted must be faster than that because Part 10 was posted earlier today and already is on page 4. I mean, that is faster than war speed.

Love & hugs,
Barbara

Ok, I managed to add a bit more to Morgan earlier today, and will hopefully get more done tonightr.

No promises though.

I *did* figure out how to use that outfit I came up with. Minor alterations make it a sports bra and and a pair of *tight* spandex bike shorts. So Morgan can wear it while biking. Maybe over to Chris's house. :-)

And for anybody who cares, Morgan's bike:

Reckoning. The story and the experiment.

I've been noticing that the counts, comments and kudoes have been decreasing as each story segment goes up, and I'm wondering if the story is moving too slowly for a lot of you. I know there's been a lot of exposition and conversation within the story, but I thought it would be a good thing to let the heroes get to find and begin to know one another, and for you, the readers, to get comfortable with them as well.

I just posted a story and made a couple of errors. I've fixed them now.

I accidentally posted it twice, then realized a table I'd included didn't make the transition and everything in it blended. I did a quick redit.

If tyou were a first reader, sorry.

Hope you enjoy!

The Girl Most Likely To ...

Everybody is surprised to see a "change" in Rachel. But if you remember in the first part, when Renée and Sandi were passing the door marked Principal, they heard crying from inside. That is all I am going to say without giving the whole story away. Thank you all for reading and commenting, it is greatly appreciated.

Love & hugs,
Barbara

I just thought I would mention this as it has been a great help to me. The Natural Reader program is a free download easily found on the net. Since I write and well enjoy it, I also strive to make my story's an easy read. Sometimes saying what you mean and meaning what you say can get lost in the writing. There is nothing like having someone read back to you what you have written, if just to see what it sounds like. The Natural Reader is not a great quality program but, it has the advantage of reading exactly what you wrote, as opposed to what you thought you wrote...lol.

Re: Reckoning, Chapter 5, et al.

This enterprise, that of having one story written by 5 very different writers, is the most daunting, ambitious thing I've ever attempted, writing-wise. If the story succeeds, and I fervently hope it does, it is entirely due to the spirit of co-operation, and the willingness to share credit among all the writers involved.

All credit is due to them. Any blame for spelling, useage, continuity, any errors in posting, is entirely on me.

What You Don't See

I've been thinking about my latest posted story, Charli and the Girl Cave. As it is my prerogative, I deleted the epilogue. It didn't really fit, anyway. What should have been the epilogue is now truly the epilogue. I think it works much better this way. The part I deleted will become part of another adventure, yet to be written. I do have a number of ideas fermenting about the further adventures of all the young witches. There might be a story in a few months.

I must apologise

Some of the time I can be prone to acts of sheer brilliance. Most of the time I prove myself to be adequate and the rest of the time I fuck up.

I have royally cocked up this time and I hope you will forgive me for having done so.

Now there are heaps of you you out there that love serials. Ang's Bike serial is getting to be more like The Archers than simply a long story and I'm sure there are others too.

Koff, koff, meh.

Why does everything always happen at the same time? I've had this cold for well over a week now, and it's so bad I can cough in my sleep, often without waking. It's also worked it's way down into my chest, and up into my sinuses...

So the bad weather happens just about now as well, and to top it all I just accidentally trashed one of my servers... twice.

Blayze's Blog- On therapy, Real life and where Chapter 13 is

So I am mildly surprised to find myself posting another bit on my blog. In fact just typing 'my blog' seems weird to me, but cool anyway. I have been kind of having a pause over the last month. Personally I find christmas and New Year a very sad time of year and it gets me down. However there are changes on the way. My wife and I have made the decision to move South asap, and get a fresh start. Both of us feel much better just from making that decision. So now we are making preparations and selling stuff of to get moved. 2012 is gonna be a big year.

Four years ago it was also a leap year, and an election year, and the Giants faced the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Cliffhangers

As I mentioned in some story comments...

I'm beginning to suspect that EOF, Ang, Maggie, and a few other authors all got together and decided to hold a cliffhanger contest.

Now that we're all hanging off of half a dozen cliffs, has a winner been declared?

New DarkRealms Resource

Back in the early days of The DarkRealms Universe (when we'd only been introduced to a couple of vampires), I sensed that it had the potential to expand and introduce us to Lots of Characters. So, rather than attempting to write a story (which knowing my writing speed you'd probably see sometime never!), I decided to create a Wiki to hold information on the people, places and events connected with Ravencrest.

So here it is: The DarkRealms Universe Wiki.

I read the most wonderful story by Cindilee,"Mermaid First Class" I usually don't do a blog about someones story, but this time I felt it was neccessary. I started to read the story yesterday, being retired Navy I had a slight misunderstanding. I left a message with the author at the end of the story, but ensured it was a flaming comment or deroggatory. I read the complete story a few hours ago. I pm the author to let her know I thought her stroy was wonderful and I wanted let her know I appreciated it, even after my attempt yesterday.

'A Quiet Strength' - Coming Soon!

A short while ago I placed a post here about a story idea that I was mulling around in my head of a single father and his child who is in a m2f transition. I wanted the story to focus more on the father's turmoil of dealing with a 'transitioning' child than with the child itself. I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted to start the story and where I wanted it to end...just no real idea of how to get from 'A' to 'B' so I 'put it out there' and people responded.

The Long Journey

Since I began to seriously began to address my different-ness in 2001 the good folks at this site have carried me through crisis after crisis; 5 hospitalizations for mental breakdown, a SRS operation, the loss of my family and everything I cared about in life. I was three days from living on the street before things slowly began to turn around. It took years, 10 of them to finally feel like I really wanted to live again, and that did not begin to happen until early last March.
