Working hard

I have not been around much as of late. Some few of you may have noticed and/or missed me, but I rather suspect that with the plethora of new talent and engaging stories, there're also a lot of new readers -- and the vast majority probably haven't a clue even who I am.

I have been aching to write more. An incident nearly three years ago dealt a massive blow to my muse and creativity, and I've not produced anything of substance since. I've been feeling for the past few months that I may have healed sufficiently to take up my quill again, so to speak. Note, my typing speed is barely a third of what it once was, so my speed is not going to be anything like it once was. Also... I'm working two jobs to make ends meet and looking for a third, so I haven't the time for writing that I would prefer.

I am now in central Pennsylvania, and trying to make a go of life once again. I hope to start posting things again. Rewrites that have been long promised for Sk8r Grrls, more of the Original Intrepid Heroes, several of the series ideas I started, and a few other surprises I'm working on.

There was a time when having a spare three hours to write would have been enough for me to write over 20,000 words for you all. Now, well, let's just say that it's quite frustrating.

111 wpm?!

Cripes, your fingers must have been flying across your keyboard back then and committing them to "paper" as soon as you thought of them!
(20,000 words in 3 hours ≈ 6,667 words per hour ≈ 111 words per minute)

Even ¼ of that speed (5,000 words in 3 hours ≈ 1,667 words per hour ≈ 28 words per minute) is pretty darn good going.

But never mind having three hours free time in the day - if you're holding down three jobs, the number of days in which you feel energetic enough to write may be limited. I'm sure everyone here will appreciate whatever you do have the time to produce. Even if it's only a couple of thousand words a week (or even less, if there are 'busy' times of the week in any / all of your jobs).

As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!

This brings good news!

I'm glad to hear you're trying to get back in to writing. I've missed Sk8r Grrls, it was a fantastic story and very well written. I hope to see more of it in the year to come (if you're able). Good luck in your future writing endeavours, I'll be watching with great interest.

I found sk8r grrls and loved it. Will this be a rewrite or a rewrite with more to come over time. But as much as I want to see more Sk8r grrls, please don't burn yourself out. That would be bad

I hope you find your way back

You seemed like a permanent fixture here... except that you were always moving around, doing stuff.

Hugs,

Kaleigh

I imagine you're having fun up there. Winter made a brief appearance in december, but there hasn't really been much of a sign of it in this area. That's bound to change.
