Writing, just like any form of communication, is deeply colour (or flavoured, I suppose) by style of the writer. Just like you might be the kind of person who waves your hands around a lot when you talk, or make a lot of strange facial expressions, I believe every writer to have a unique signature to how they translate their thoughts into letters on the page.
But, enough prose, let's talk about quirks! Do you have any special "things" you do (or don't do) in your writing?
Due to various non-bad reasons (me having been switched to another schedule at work, taking extra classes after that, and family, and so on) I'm getting dreadfully behind on my writing.
Due to Life, I'm running a little late with chapter 18. But don't worry! Everything is already written in my copious amount of notes spread across three devices! (one of which is an actual paper notepad. I'm high-tech!) It'll just take me a while to whip up the narrative mortar to hold these bricks of plot and exposition together :)
It'll definitely be posted today, though. Uh, unless Even More Things Happen. Let's hope not!
Typing "The End", and "To Be Continued" was something I didn't think I'd ever do. I've written before; I've done writing in one form or another ever since I learned how to put letters together into words. But I've never actually written anything beyond twenty pages or so (for fiction, that is). This has been a very exciting, sometimes frustrating, but mostly enlightening experience. I think I like it :)
Here's another big thank-you to everyone who kept reading to the last page, for all the great advice, eye-opening critique, and clever speculations that sometimes had me in giggles. You're all wonderful people, and I'd love to write for you again soon!
Well, it's been two weeks since I posted my first story here, and I've been very excited and happily surprised by the kind feedback and encouragement in the comments from my readers :)
Since I have several main characters in my novel "Horizons of the Heart", it might be a good idea to present them to you outside their work-environment.
