A friendly place to read, write and discuss Transgender Fiction.
Home of 3000+ chapters of Easy as Falling off a Bike by Angharad and many other stories.
I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
Crazy Core Gym, Upper East Side, New York:
Teela and Emily arrive at the address they were given. They looked at the building in front of them and couldn’t believe that it used to be some sort of warehouse.
“Are you sure you have the right address, Teela?” Emily looks at her friend.
“I’m sure. This is the address Jester gave me. She also gave me the entrance code as well.” Teela walked into the small foyer and noticed there was a metal keypad with black numbers and letters.
In this chapter, Emily navigates a day filled with grief and reflection as she bids farewell to her mother. Amidst the weight of the occasion, small moments of kindness and support from those around her offer glimpses of comfort and strength, helping her take the first steps toward healing.
"Wh-what?!" said the man, scandalized. "That's outrageous! We're not child stalkers! We're agents of the US government, here looking for known lawbreakers you're sheltering!"
I find that drawing soothes my nerves. Painting takes time and I have to get it set up, but drawing is easy with just paper and pen, I can let my mind go and doodle. Sometimes I’m working on a picture. Sometimes drawing comics. Sometimes I just doodle. Right now, I’m currently making a really fucked up piece of art while I cry my eyes out for the umpteenth time. Oh boy, am I emotional. I don’t think I’ve ever been this emotional in my life. I’d cried sure, but never for this long. I don’t even know what I’m drawing to be honest, all the tears are staining the paper.
Chapter 1
I blame it all on my Uncle Jimmy. It's his fault I ended up this way. It certainly wasn't my fault, I mean c'mon, I was just a kid, what did I know?
Rita Soto came into the living room in her little black dress ready for her night out with her man, Elmer Rice. They were going on a double date with Elmer’s friend, Nathan, and one of his friends with benefits, Nora Mae West. The dress' hemline was high and showed her wonderful legs, it was tight in order to bring attention to her curves, and the neckline plunged to highlight her magnificent cleavage. She asked her beau, "How do I look in this dress dear?"
Elmer would have said she looked great in anything she wore. The man who adores her said, "You look great in it my love."
Lillyn isn't doing so hot right now.
She is pretty sure she has ruined a friendship forever.
But there is always hope.
And on every low note a high one follows.
When Besona smiles on her, it sometimes comes in unexpected ways...

short story by Rosemary
Special

Brad
Tyler.
He
had just turned eleven years old, and he hadn’t gotten much in the
way of presents for his birthday. In fact, all he had gotten was a
twenty-five dollar check from both sets of grandparents.
His
dad, Bill, was being laid off from his job as a groundskeeper from
the local hospital, so his parents weren’t able to get him anything
really. He understood, and was grateful for the fifty dollars he’d
received.
The next couple weeks leading up to the book report were pretty normal, aside from my new wardrobe options. As the day I would make my debut as Annie Oakley at school drew nearer, I started to anticipate the event and harbored a mix of anxiety, excitement, and hope that my decision to go “all-in” would be well received. As I finished typing up my report, I had a little bit of trouble concentrating as I thought about all of this, but ultimately buckled down and got it done.
Mom had me practice my presentation with her, and even gave me a few pointers.
Chapter 14
How did four years go by so fast? Seems like just Yesterday Rose was starting high school and in a few minutes she would be walking across the stage to receive her diploma. Travis and Ruth smiled to think the entire family was there to watch, and not incidentally keep track of the active four-year-old and frenetic two-year-old grandchildren who were bored with the whole affair.
Greg has long fought her need to transition to the girl she is. Now, she is going to college and starting a new life as Angie. This is her story of discovery and the friendships that evolve in…
[Eight days after Vivienne’s disastrous Birthday Party]
“Come on Betty, in you go,” said Vivienne as she opened the front door to her home.
The Spaniel ran through the open door and into the hallway and skidded to a halt on the polished wood floor in front of the kitchen door. Her tail started wagging furiously. She knew what was waiting for her on the other side when her mistress opened the door for her.
“I can see that someone is very happy to be home again aren't you Betty?”
Roland led me into the building, going past empty offices before we walked into a large room with eight people working on computers. They all looked at me up and down and I realised that this was what I would have to get used to as I could see a couple of the guys undressing me in their minds.
In New York we had a conference with Simon and his CEO about the TV show. One of the networks was interested and we made an appointment to go and see them. When we got to their office it was almost filled with suited types with lots of gold jewellery. I immediately asked how many TV executives it needs to change a light bulb.
Author's note: There is a very pivotal event that will be occurring soon (hopefully in the next few chapters) that has the potential to change a lot of things. I am (kind of) giving you (my readers) a chance to influence how the entire story plays out. Please comment or send me a private message to cast your vote. Will this event turn Holly dark, very dark, or will she remain grey? Originally, this was going to be a dark fic, but things are shaping out very differently than my original ideas. I'm happy either way it goes, so please vote.
Chapter 12
Luke and Rose rode for some time across the grassland until a copse of trees came into sight. Rose changed course slightly to head for the trees and they soon arrived at the watering station.
"Now that shoots that old saw all to blazes, don't it?"
It was dark when I woke up. Only five in the morning and I felt wide wake. Waking up later even if only an hour was bliss. Papa was already chopping firewood as the cold and snow was coming fast. Even faster in the mountains.
My chest felt itchy and as I began to help him cut fire wood, my chest felt continually itchy and sore. I’m not as skilled as he is but I can still hold my own. Of course, I could’ve gone faster if my chest didn’t feel so itchy. Placing the wood on the stump and slamming the axe into it. It wasn’t long until the sun began peeking out from the horizon.
I am sorry, Helen, but your role model anthem just fitted another type of role model – that is if you adore Hitler, Pol Pot or Mussolini. The Italians found out that you never trust a politician who promises to make the trains run on time.
I am Donald
I am Donald, hear me crow
To all you morons down below
And I know too much to go back to before
'cause now I’m the big boss
And I cannot take a loss
No Democrat will show me to the door
I fell in love with Alex when she was 13 – when she was a boy. I was 16 and had everything a young man could have, except love. I never thought of myself as gay. I still don’t. I just happened to be there when I saw the woman in her poke out through the boy.
CHAPTER 24
We stayed that way for the rest of the morning, alternating a few of my more ‘lyrical’ albums with a couple of Nell’s tapes. There was one I did like, as bits of it were almost like heavy rock, but the others were a bit too fiddly for me. Nice tunes, especially in the one she had started with, but not really my thing.
“What was that loud one called again, Nell?”
“Sinfonia da Requiem. Britten wrote it for the Japanese, and they didn’t like it. Too Christian, they said. You liked it?”
Another Side of My Life
Chapter 11
By Julie D Cole
Maggie was in charge as usual, so she led to way directing us all the way to the platform for the Circle Line where we were to take a tube train to our next destination. She informed us that in case we got separated we were to alight at Westminster that was just a few stops. Jack couldn’t resist a leg pull ‘Unless you point us to the wrong platform and we end up going the way around the circle.’
Here are eighteen stories of lumberjacks and bodyguards, fishermen and drag racers, plumbers and financiers who took a risk and fell in love with someone unexpected. They're a lot of fun and one or two of them might make you laugh-out-loud or even get a little teary-eyed. You should take that risk -- after all, romance is worth it.
