Colin complied. He could see himself in the mirror on the front of the wardrobe, and he could immediately sense a change in himself, and how he saw himself, but without being able to put a finger on exactly what had changed.

"I think you need some padding," she said, carefully.

He patted his hips. "My hips? I have thought of that, when wearing those skirts before. The fullness of the dress hides that, surely?"

"It wasn't your hips I was thinking of. Try higher up. Much higher up."

Colin got the point immediately. "Now wait a minute..." he protested.

“Mindy. Look. You’re not making any sense to me. I’m not damaged. And what would be so wrong if I really was a girl?” I asked.

“You were born a boy, that’s what’s wrong!”

I had to respond to that!

“I know what you’re thinking of doing!” She hissed the words into Sean’s ear. “I just want you to know that every single one of us backs you. Just make sure you hit the right target!” Sean broke their embrace and looked into Anne’s eyes, searching for something, some sense of the other woman that would tell her how to respond. In the end, there was only one thing she could say.
