In this chapter, Emily navigates a day filled with grief and reflection as she bids farewell to her mother. Amidst the weight of the occasion, small moments of kindness and support from those around her offer glimpses of comfort and strength, helping her take the first steps toward healing.

Part 13
The fact I was hurting numbed me slightly to the impending procedure.
Until I received in the post a large envelope marked with the clinic’s logo.
It was waiting for me when I got home the day after my appointment with Julie.
by Andrea Lena DiMaggio for my dear sweet sister Alison
Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There’s always one reason
To feel not good enough
And it’s hard at the end of the day
“I know how much pain you’re in. I want it so bad, too.I told you about Olympia and how it hurt? Felice Cattoni told everybody in the school I was a dyke. A fucking queer. And all I wanted to do is have someone love me. I saw what Mommy and Daddy had and I wanted that. And then Hannah tells me she's found someone else she can love. Someone she can love? So yeah, it fucking hurts and my sister is hurt and and…and….oh fuck…” She punched the wall of the elevator car just as the loud ping announced their arrival at the lobby.
“Look, I gotta get to the hotel…I’ll talk to you tomorrow, okay.” Dale said as she walked swiftly to the front of the hospital, her face red with embarrassment as her tears fell to the sidewalk.
Heir to a Species, part 3.
Copyright 2010, by Arianrhod.
A serial tale of a hero/ine whose Manifestation offers hope to an entire mythical species, and gives promise to many awakenings in a sleeping world very much like our own.
This chapter explores the advancement of Michelle and Janice into the middle school. It also describes their home lives and introduces a new family who visit once a year. P.S. I have removed the misnomered 'Punishment Belts' and used 'waist control belts' as corset substitutes during the school holidays.
The Center: Guardian
Chapter One

Luke Barklay had a pretty good life. He was popular enough, did well in sports, and got great grades. Kind of an all American kid. With a good future ahead of him, how will he react when abductors appear and an accident from before he was born turns his life upside down and lands him, new body and all, in The Center? Can he adapt, or will the journey kill him before he even takes the first step?
I was living the good life. It was winter break for one, which meant school was out and the mountains were all right there, just waiting for me...
What really caught Theo's eyes was her lack of belly button and purple-ish eyes that seemed to swirl and mix like a cloud of gas. As she floated closer He noticed freckles scattering her body colored like her eyes and somewhat iridescent. She stopped a foot away from his face and smiled, her silver colored hair floated back and forth while covering her ears. A small nose and soft lips confirmed in Theo that she was beautiful. “This shouldn't hurt” she whispered. It hurt.

Part IV: Feels like Déjá -Vu
Ezra Falling Bird; October 5th, 2007, 9:59 PM
Brushing my teeth with the tiniest toothbrush I had ever seen was one of the more amusing upsides of today, although perhaps morbidly so, considering I couldn't use a normal toothbrush anymore.
I woke up to the rattling sounds of the torrential rains hitting the cheap tin plated roof of my apartment in a converted cotton warehouse. I live in a poorer neighborhood in southern Beijing and actually safer than most. Most old areas like this are full of poor people and a lot of the elderly and kids. You can be perfectly safe as long as you look poor too and tough enough not to look like a mark. Most importantly get to know the locals.
Hugs go on even when we don’t
Lives continue past the last breath
An eternity of friendship that brightens my way
And a love that seems to last forever
Dandy was getting ready to go to Atlantis through the Stargate. As the team went through there was a power surge, then the gate went dead. Dandy was thrown on a planet 2 billion light-years from her original destination and 500 years into the future, but she did not know about the temporal time difference at the time. Dandy looked around and saw a decimated landscape like a war just happened. She tried to contact her team but no answer. She also tried to contact Stargate command but no luck there.

What Mother Didn't Know - Book 2
by Barbara Lynn Terry
(Author's note: You have all spoken and I have listened. I had to take some time to figure out how to start book 2, so I will start where I left off in book 1. Thank you all for reading and commenting on book 1. Barbara)
Chapter 1 - At home after the hearing.
When we got home from the courthouse, we all sat down and had a little talk in the dining room. Daddy was even home for this too.

Jerry had not been himself since his encounter with the Jamaican. Whatever she had done not only cured him of the werewoman curse, but also stripped him of all transgender inclinations. Since their meeting just over two weeks ago, he hadn’t dressed once. While dressing lulls were nothing new, not thinking about it at all was. It simply never came to mind anymore.
‘How could something that gave him such pleasure; that defined him as a person simply disappear?’ Jerry wondered as he stared at the girl-in-the-box before him. ‘Is it better this way?’ he thought, staring at his formerly prized possessions and feeling nothing. And that’s what he felt most of the time now, nothing. He was emotionless and devoid of joy. ‘What have I given up?’ he asked himself. ‘Too much,’ he answered his own question. He closed the box.
‘But what could he do about it? How could he get it back?’ Jerry paced in his bedroom. ‘Should he go see Erin, or Emily? Should he beg to be bitten and turned?’ He wondered. ‘Would they even do it? And if they did would it work?’ Jerry began to feel like he’d blown his golden opportunity for happiness.
His head spun as he seated himself in front of the television once more. ‘Or perhaps I should just give being a ‘normal’ guy another chance...’
In which we introduce a three-foot tall magical being that enables wishes that should not be made. And Jack, who thinks he's smart enough to make wishes that can't go wrong. Revised and rewritten here for your appraisal, with a slightly re-written ending.
The first month went by without incident. My brother Charles had been sent to a boys detention center til he turned eighteen at the least. My mother had seemed to the resign herself to his fate, knowing it wouldn't really change him.
My sister's all-girl J-POP band (in Texas?) needs a bass player. No problem, I play bass, but if I take the gig, it won't be an all-girl band.... So, obvious solution and I do look cute, unfortunately....
What do you mean, we're a hit? And we've got a contract!? And we're going to JAPAN?!?!
I can't be most popular girl in the band! My name is Sam...
