I cringed when I saw Bill walk in. He was so hunched over and miserable looking! I've been watching him for weeks, and he's getting worse. And he won't talk about it! I'm probably his only friend, but he keeps a lot back from me.
"Hi Bill, how are you?" I asked.
"Fine." was his only reply. We used to talk a lot, but lately one word answers are the best I can get out of him.
“Children should be seen and not heard,” was the too often used phrase that was physically hammered into his budding consciousness before he even realized he could think. It became the toddler’s mantra.

Part Seven
You're Not From Here! by Andrea Lena DiMaggio
I don't know what is going on
You turn around and touch my heart
A silent moment speaks the truth
Something has happened all at once
It should have scared me in advance
But I was falling in those eyes of yours
I am offering this titbit up for sacrifice. I have some idea where it would go, but a comment or two would help me decide whether to push it further. Now on Kindle
CHAPTER 1
I don’t drive. I have a licence, but I have never felt the need to own a car. This has brought all sorts of odd questions into my life, from friends, relatives, employers, passing drivers keen to share their wisdom and advice as to the desirability of my using the cycle path.
It takes me I don’t know how long before I come down from my freaking out and having a breakdown. Alex has his arms around me and I’m warm for the firs time in I don’t know how long but I really hurt. I know the life I’ve grown up in I should be used to being hurt but the Step-shit had really done a number on me and so did my mom.
In which Keith and Up in Flames are introduced, Gretchen breaks down into tears repeatedly, and really expensive diamond jewelry is purchased for a song
What if it only took the power of thought to make things possible? Just imagine your future and make it real. If you have the tools to do it. Mainly, yourself, and only limited by your imagination!
This is a new occasional series that takes its basis and some of its storyline from the cancelled Tokyopop Manga, Yubisaki Milk Tea by Tomochika Miyano. It’s a great series and well worth looking out, it’s a mystery why they cancelled it. For my version I’ve changed the setting from Japan to England and of course the names, then I’ve added some new characters and situations to produce Jamie and the Peach. The original series was cancelled before completion but I intend to take my version somewhat further!
This needs a serious rewrite. I'm leaving it up until I can fix it but if you haven't started reading it don't, wait until I've revamped it. I also need to find a new title.
Thank you
Freya
Well it's been rewritten but I'm still not happy except maybe with the title. Read at your own risk. :-P

There was a knock on the door and I went to answer it.
Abby, Katie and Heather in her best bib and tucker were in the sitting room, waiting for the dreaded trump of doom in the shape of Obersturmbannfá¼hrer Cartwright…
I missed Lena terribly; I hadn't realized how much I'd come to rely on her support! Going home to an empty bed didn't sound very promising either, so I decided to stay in space and try to figure out what was wrong with my powers. Try as I might, however, I couldn't seem to make any headway.
And then I got some help from an unexpected source..

"Wh-what?!" said the man, scandalized. "That's outrageous! We're not child stalkers! We're agents of the US government, here looking for known lawbreakers you're sheltering!"
Danny's Perdition: It’s the 24th century and Danny has discovered that his work for the government has several times condemned people to termination. The newest suspect has been thoroughly transformed by a department called “Visual Perfection,” and now Danny must do his duty, once again. Would traveling across the continent in an antique machine offer a realistic alternative?
Also included A Dollar Short: Tilford has a dead-end job. The idea that someone would offer him a great position seems alien.
