Teela and Emily arrive at the address they were given. They looked at the building in front of them and couldn’t believe that it used to be some sort of warehouse.
“Are you sure you have the right address, Teela?” Emily looks at her friend.
“I’m sure. This is the address Jester gave me. She also gave me the entrance code as well.” Teela walked into the small foyer and noticed there was a metal keypad with black numbers and letters.
In this chapter, Emily navigates a day filled with grief and reflection as she bids farewell to her mother. Amidst the weight of the occasion, small moments of kindness and support from those around her offer glimpses of comfort and strength, helping her take the first steps toward healing.
Patrick Reece never went to college but ended up paying the bills by working in a diner. But he had a plan to better himself by writing original songs.

A faceless man looms out of the darkness. He moves with a fluid grace that Harm finds hard to watch. Without a glance Harm's way the man walks away down a street that Harm has not noticed before. As Harm looks around he sees others like the man. A fearsome loneliness wells up within him and he cries out to those around him but none of them react. Harm stands amidst the throng and is unheard, unseen, unknown.
"Why won't any of you speak?" he shouts but they continue on their way as if he did not exist at all. The weight of their disregard drags him down and he collapses, great chains at his wrists, drowning in a sea of anonymity.

In case you've not come across this little tale it's a bit of a travelogue with a twist, Mark - the lead character, embarks on a cycling trip along the German Romantic Road and - well you'll have to read it to find out what happens next!
I'm not intending to do weekly postings of it, it may take many, many months before you see anymore on here, the best way to read the whole thing - complete with pictures, is to get yourselves a copy of the book in either paper or digi format by heading to Scaramouch Books. As an incentive you can currently save 25% off the list price of the print version making it a great gift option for the forthcoming season!
Chapter 1
Mark queued up with a sense of excitement and a degree of impatience. This trip was going to be one of those things you remember forever, the fact that he'd used all his savings and every bit of spare cash he had to make it happen was immaterial. For over a year he'd been planning his route, the accommodation and budget. The queue shuffled forward again. It was the culmination of a dream and a desire to do something a bit more adventurous than a week in Lanzarote for the annual hols.
CHAPTER 17
Tony was on earlies that day, so when I got home-
That was another thought that hit, well, home. We needed to talk about my flat, and whether to keep it and rent it out, or to sell it. But, ’home’, for the three of us. Oooh.
A traditionalist minister discovers that his son is crossdressing and indeed may be transgendered. How does he, his wife, and their family deal with it? Can they reconcile all the various issues that they must face both as a family and as individuals?
Ever get a crush on one of your teachers in school?
If you’re lucky, you only make a fool of yourself!
Another tale that’s a ‘little different’. Like me.
Last Time on Rising Dawn But then I hear loud bang and turn to look out of the window and see men in robbing gear at the door to the bank, my sister is trapped in there and theres nothing I can do.
"My sister."
"Well I be, I think I never seen this happen here before."
CHAPTER 16
And that, it seemed, was a watershed. We returned the Reading crew to their home on the Sunday, with much nudge wink from the two biggest ones ( I can’t bring myself to say ‘adults’), and then the three of us found a cross-country backroads way so we could enjoy the ride.
Michael’s new apartment is too good to be true. Immense, beautifully furnished and cheaper than his last place.
Sometimes when fortune smiles you smile back and accept what it offers you. Other times, with Halloween just round the corner and a killer on the loose, it might have been as well to ask a few questions first…

This is a compilation of a chapter story that I submitted last year. I would like to thank Angela Rasch for her help in editing. She was remarkable and I never would have finished it without her help.

Halloween - Chapter 1
October 31, 1970
“So what are you boys going to be for Halloween this year?” Mother asked looking directly at me while I was eating breakfast with my brothers.
“Are you asking Steven and Billy or are you asking me, Mom?” I replied.

CHAPTER 15
The Friday evening was a good one. The children all knew each other well, so they were more than relaxed, and the boy-girl balance left them bouncing happily off each other in the best way.
CHAPTER 9
I woke up yet again with the dead weight of an arm across me, and dribble down my neck, which, of course, is why I decided I needed the tissues.
I think I can make it now the pain is gone,
And all of the bad feelings have disappeared,
Here is the rainbow I've been praying for.
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sunshiny day.
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sunshiny day.
Part 2
Heather went to school Thursday until 11:00 am when Linda picked her up to go to the hospital for the MRI and CT scans. DJ, Billy and Kylie were delighted to learn that the initial tests showed Heather was intersexed. Of course, Kylie had already known that from their astral chats.
CHAPTER 14
I saw almost everyone out of the house at eight, Jim being young enough to need a curfew. Arris and I settled down on the refolded sofa for a snuggle and a chat, with a glass each of a big fat red. I hugged her.
Boring! That is how I would describe the school days at Harriet Miller High School. I swear my teacher's had taken their teaching style from watching Ben Stein's character on "The Wonder Years" My girlfriend Liza and I would spend our time passing notes to each other and still managed to get every single thing our teacher said. It was like this in nearly every class. We both decided that we needed to liven things up, so we would pull out a Fart machine and start letting it go off at different times.
Eve, born Evan Nichols, lived a lie for 28 years before finally deciding to do something about it. She knew becoming a woman would cause pain and emotional distress, but you can't prepare for everything...especially not romance.
