Dear diary

Today is the day! I'm wearing my normal clothes and I'm going to prove to Mom and Dad that they made a mistake. I am not a boy but their daughter.

I'm wearing my favorite pleated skirt, black tights, white blouse with the peter pan collar just like I see those girls wear to that school I so want to attend. But I cannot because Mommy and Daddy keep trying to make me a boy.

It hurts so much when they call me a boy! Even that name Dalan hurts it's not my real name. I don't know what my real name is as I haven't let myself think that way for some time.

This is a series of vignettes about the magic idols from the Monkey Gods stories. There is TG in this story, but it is not the primary focus of most of the chapters, which were originally posted as a serial story on my Yahoo group.

Chapter 1 - Shaiya is very awed by Naomi.

As they came up from the basement, Shaiya noticed Naomi playing a game of Twister with a few of the girls. Shaiya stood there in amazement of this deputy sheriff who puts people in jail and yet has time to help troubled girls have fun. There was laughing and giggling in this game.

As Naomi tripped over herself, Shaiya giggled.

"Naomi, you continuously amaze me. How is it that you have the energy and time to do this?"

"Do what, Shaiya?" Naomi asked, still lying on the floor.

As we walked through to the bar and lounge area to join the rest of the girls Rachel walked behind me and she smiled. ‘Oh Bro dear I’ve not noticed before that you have quite a wiggle when you walk and those leggings really show off your bum and your legs. I’m quite jealous’

‘Rach please don’t tease me and embarrass me. I’m trying my best.’
‘Well you’re doing a good job and you’d better watch it when we get to Leeds.’
