Shadowsblade a Whateley Tale: Written by Shadowsblade
Created for war and forged in pain, dealing with demons within and without.
This is the story of a man who finds a magic box, one that changes him into a Teenage Drow girl (a dark elf) and he has to deal with the very sudden change. Then handle all the memories of a Drow that was 'made' for a long lost war. This new part of him, has 40,000 years of memories of fighting that war. She has to deal with all that pent up PTSD, her enemy is here, but she loves her. Her old Queen is here and she wants to kill, that Queen ohh so bad!
So far in the story, Rohanna is being sent to a high school for mutants. While in school, she has to learn to keep that temper in check and her vast skills at killing others! She has been attacked in Boston while shopping, by her new lover by accident of fate and by an assassin that nearly kills her.
The last major hurdle in her short new life, is that a science project gone mad! Has made an exact clone of her and linked it mentally to her every thought, it reacts like an extension of her body now.
Life moves on and she makes a movie to get Fae kind more "Out there" and joins the NYPD as a teen cop!
Back out in the main room of the suite for the twins down the hallway
“Miss Leigh, if we can,” the guide nearly begged the teens “the show would like an hour of your time right now to pre-plot out tomorrow's shots at the pawn shop and see how you want to present your appraisal of the blades this seller is bringing into the show and shop to possibly sell.” Then he went back to busily checking off items on his data pad.
“Already, we just got here?” Rohanna kind of pouted back to the man, as her twin leaned back into the bedroom to stare at him from her looking the huge bathroom over, “What?...give a girl time to get all cozy before we have to go back to work?” Rehanna complained along with her twin.
“We or the production office has a very tight schedule for both of you…blocking out how you want to appraise the blades now, a short interview down at the casino high rollers area for the film, we only have a short time for that as Darrick Rankin is here and doing one of his interview stops while playing in the celebrity Texas hold-em event.”
“Ahh fucking Darry Boi hates us and only put up with us because Peter dropped off a dump truck load of money in his driveway! Besides now that the filming is over…if he talks shit to us…I’ll break his fucking legs!” Rehanna growled.
“Note duly made about you having issues with Darrick and Peter will be down there too…”
“Down where? The interview or the card game?” Rohanna asked.
“Both.”
“Ohhh then let's go on down there, because Peter will bitch slap Darry if he talks shit and ohhh boy if Art is down there…” Rehanna slices her finger across her neck and makes the Throat slicing sound, “Art would skin him alive!”
“We have a car standing by to drive over to the pawn shop and then back here for the interview.” the guide said as he went to open the suite’s door and held it open for the twins.
Bill saw that the twins were being dragged off by the production’s guide and hurriedly followed behind them as he shouted back into the room, “Jen honnn…got to keep the girls out of trouble and you can hold down the fort here?” he asked and Jineen just laughed back “Got it all handled deeear!” as she was busy drooling over the information sheet of offered in suite amenities she could order…masseuse, spa treatments, manicures and the list went on!
The guide led the small pack down to the hidden VIP loading area and right into a large executive car that was waiting for them. The twins took the back seat, Bill took shotgun up front and the guide levered his way into what was left in the back with the twins.
“Here is the basic info on the blades the seller is showing, it's all your choice to give an opinion of value now or only on the show…they prefer to be surprised unless it's a dangerous item?” He said thinking of magic, fae curses and who knows what dangers could be hidden inside each blade just waiting for a true Fae to touch the blade and to activate them!
The car rolled up into the parking lot and the outside store itself seemed to be kind of busy with everything from tourists that had seen the show, to locals or out of town gamblers pawning items to pay for a “winning streak” to come soon?
A line of folks that just wanted to see the place stretched for about twenty heads and there was zero line for pawning or picking up items. To get in the shop you either needed an item to pawn in hand or a pawn ticket to skip the longer line of tourists and fans of the show.
The production guide led them through the door meant for real customers and straight right to the back of the shop where one could see all the TV lights that brightened up the area hung from small triangle trusses hanging over the few glass display cases at the store’s rear.
“So we ready? The guide asked one of the pawn shop’s staff who was standing there.
“We are waiting for Jackson, the guy pawning or selling this stuff to show up.” The disinterested woman smiled and just barely seemed to care that twin Drow were in the store and starting to eyeball the shop’s collection of school lunch boxes from the fifties and sixties.
The guide walked back over the twins and made a few notes on his pad, “the seller is running late and if they are too late we have to keep to schedule and move along.”
“Whatever you say Jeeves…” Rehanna jested back to the man and Rohanan pointed out one lunch boxes, “I or we had that one from disneyland…god I loved that place when it opened. It was less of a huge theme park back then, but so much more at the same time.”
“I am going to call it in ten minutes if they don’t show!” the guide warned as the show’s real stars walked into the store’s showroom and greeted the twins. “Glad you made it and hope this moron gets here. But this is Castor Troy the historical 'expert' from the university...Best known as the ‘wild grin of knowledge."
Just as the show’s leader and the store’s owner introduced Troy to the twins, a man almost ran into the shop with a long briefcase in his hand. “Sorry I am late, but the casino where I am staying had trouble finding a person to open the high security safe to get this out!” he said, opening the case and pulling out cotton and silk wrapping or covers that he slowly unrolled to show each of the blades.
The man rolled out all the clothes and placed each blade on a black display showcase topper that protected the glass display cases from damage or breaking. One blade was very ornate and clean, one was very plain and simple and the last one was encrusted with several layers of unknown crud that must have taken hundreds of years to cover the blade and its hilt.
“There they are, it took me years to track down this one.” he said proudly pointing out the best looking one and Rehanna picked it up, then handed it over to Rohanna who almost instantly put it back. The next blade, Rehanna only took a few extra seconds to look it over versus the near instant it took her to pass the very ornate one over to her twin.
Now the last and worst appearing blade of the three shown, that one Rehanna took her time with. She studied the blade, took her time with hefting it, seeing what its balance point was, how well it spun in her hand…she even gave the blade a long sniff and rubbed a finger across it to rub off some of the grains encrusting it and TASTED it.
Rehanna gave the blade to her twin that looked it over and finally pulled out one of her own blades to “ting” it against and then did the same with the ornate blade…she seemed very displeased by the pleasant bell like tone the ornate blade gave off versus the worst of the three sounded like Rebar being hit by a hammer!
Jackson, the man selling the blades, seemed very displeased at how little time the twins took appreciating his best blade, “Is that all?” He questioned how short their time was looking any of the glades really well over.
“We will give you and the TV show our appraisal and what we think their value is on the show and leave it for a surprise” Rohanna said as her twin pulled the show’s guide to one side, “We need a stone or a rock or better yet…I have an idea” she smiled brightly, “one of the parking lot curb stops to bash one of the blades on to show its indeed the one and real deal!”
“I don’t know if he will do or let you do that?” he said back as the store’s owner leaned in, “I overheard that request and what will that test show?” Mick asked, truly intrigued.
“Fae blades are thousands of times better than the best human made metal and will cut a stone with ease. Doing this test of purity or craftmanship right on air will show the world the blade is true and really worth the big money we say it's worth.”
“And if he says no?” Mick Solo, the store owner asked, pointing at the seller just starting to repack his blades.
“Well we can’t really give a true appraisal then and the blade might fetch five or even six figures only because it is made of some level of purity Mithril or we show what it or they can do and get seven or eight figures at auction?” she smiled back evilly and knowingly…humans loved money!
“Fine you can test the blades anyway you wish…I know my blades are real and will be the best one can find!” the blades owner said when he finally overheard the questions the twins made.
Rehanna snickered, “Best you can find?” and she produced one of her own blades from nothing with a wave of her hand, “This is the best you might ever see human…look at it, stare at it, lust after the purity of its Mithril! Dream of the magic it took to forge such a blade…then remember you will never see a human make anything even close!” she smiled as her hand snatched the blade from his sight and it vanished just as quick with a simple flip of her wrist.
Rohanna put her arm up in the classic 'round-them-up’ motion, as she started towards the car, “Let's get going, you all have our needs now. SO plan out your shots and what you all might say during the show and we Drow can wing it for the rest!”
A short time later at ‘The Emperors Palace’ Casino
The twins walked across most of the huge noisy bustling casino with their escort, “Can we drop a few bucks into a slot machine or is that off limits for us Drow?” Rohanna asked about having the most human part of the pair and loved visiting the town during her long past human days!
“Sorry, the laws see you both as kids no matter what I personally know about you.” Bill warned, “But I can stop and wrestle the one armed bandit for you both a few times?” he smiled, pulling a short stack of silver dollars out of his pocket. Bill seemed to be prepared for the pair wanting to gamble a bit and had the coins standing by at the ready in his pocket!
Bill slotted the coins one at a time as the twins watched from a few feet away and as each spin ended the machine ate the coins in turn and gave nothing back as winnings…”We lost…the house wins!” he laughed.
A very cute media girl was asking British born Darrick Rankin, a classically trained older actor that played the main villain and the one that ordered the twins characters to track down and kill the film’s heros a question as she flipped her hair as a sexy tease to the camera.
“So Darrick, you are the main lead in Lord of the Thrones?” she smiled brightly.
“Well Pam I am!” he said proudly just as Rohanna plopped right into the director's chair next to him and she laughed, “Survey says…that is a lie!”
“Well I am and I am the best actor in the film with all my classical training to my name…so the lead!” his voice strained as his anger rose.
“Well trained…yea that is true. BUT the lead? No damn way…it's a tie between US and Westly Seagal for the film’s leads!” Rehanna said, taking a place right behind him and next to her twin.
“I was the lead, you are not an actress at all!” he sneered, “I am the only true actor in the film, Westly is only an action star…a…” he trailed off and left the potential insult hanging out there.
“Nope we are not actresses…and not QOUTE acting like DROW UNQUOTE…we ARE DROW!” Rohanna warned as Rehanna laughed at him and then placed a kids cereal box on each side of Darrick’s head facing towards the camera. One box front was of the twins in full costume, armor and drawn swords on the cover and the other was Westly in his armor from the film.
“Darry boi…we or Westly are the film’s lead…as I have not seen your ugly mug on a cereal box!” Rehanna laughed again as she kissed the box with her face on it and then signed the box, next she handed it over to Rohanna to add her own signature quickly and then she tossed the box to the nearest kid in the front row of fans that was watching the interviews.
Derrick was fuming and fuming bad at the twins embarrassing him so bad that he might be the better actor right now, they and Westly would in the long run be far far more famous and get paid much much more than he would make in a decade of working year round...that is when Peter Martin the film’s director and major producer showed up and Rohanna gave him her seat. She respected his age and knew Peter could not stand for the weeks of time she could.
“Heya Peter, glad to see you show!” Rehanna said as she leaned over him and wrapped up the older man in a bear hug from behind and then Rohanna took her turn, “Anything I can go port and get ya?” She asked genuinely.
“Ahh hun could you get me a bottle of Rose Lemonade?” Peter said, giving Rohanna a Ten British pound note.
“Got it!” she smiled and vanished from sight with a port.
“Peter, she doesn't have to go get you a drink. We have several right here?” Pam the interviewer said, spinning in her chair to get a production assistant's attention.
“No trouble, we like going out and getting new stuff!” Rehanna said just as her twin popped back up a few seconds later and handed Peter a rose colored bottle that said ‘not US made’ all over it and the plastic bag she pulled it from had the brand logo and address for a small chain in London!
“Thanks!” he said, popping off the bottle’s top and taking a long sip.
“Got some chips for us,” she said tossing a bag of ‘walker’s’ crisps to her twin…curry flavor and Rohanna had a bag of BBQ smokey flavor for herself, “The change I dropped in the Royal Marines donation kitty,”
“Fine by me!”
For the next hour plus several interviewers took their turn in the “media” seat on this presser stop for the film, most stuck to asking Peter questions or the twins with Derrick getting the least questions by several times less. The twins kept themselves busy handing out toys from the film and autographing everything the vast mob of kids handed them!
Rehanna or Rohanna autographed anything the kids handed to them and made sure each item got one of their magical stickers that had a 3D magical image of them bonded into each one…making those small stickers took the twins several days to imbue the rolls of thousands of the small stickers with enough magic to work! The kids loved being handed a ‘bit’ of very real magic!
Each one of the stickers the twins added to the item they autographed, had one twin swish the air with a sword before the other twin popped up and blasted away with a spell. All of the action contained on the small sticky plastic disk looked very real and was bigger than the sticker in many ways! The action floated above the sticker and beyond its edges, this was not a simple hologram.
Peter let the twins interact with the crowd as he fielded questions from each interviewer on the press junket team. The main reason for these media stops was to have interviewers from dozens of TV channels or internet sites across the globe get a short and sweet ‘interview’ so the movie would gain tons of free press all in one day of work.
“I have to ask Peter, what are the twins doing here with you in Las Vegas? It's not as if they can enjoy table games like the adults do?” The next interviewer asked her first question with a wide grin.
“Well they are here to play in the celebrity card game and appear on Pawn Palace as an expert in a few items that are up to be pawned to or maybe be bought by Pawn Palace.”
“Ohhh so we should see them this season on the show?”
“Yes and in just a few weeks!”
“Filming is tomorrow then or later?” she asked again.
“Tomorrow…right girls?” he asked the twins and looked over at their handler or guide to be sure and they nodded back to Peter. When the interviewer saw the jester of agreement, she made a note to make it over there to film some background video of the twins!
As the interviewer made her notes, one of the handlers shooed her off to open the chair to the next media hound. At the same time, the twins handler leaned over to whisper in Rohanna’s ear, “Time for the card game to start, Peter has this and when you leave I am sure Westly will take your spot.”
“Westly is here?” she asked.
“I just heard he was up stairs in the casino and is coming down to the presser now. He will join you at the card game in about an hour…we have to get moving along…please?” she asked.
“Okay.” Rohanna said thinking back to the many nights she would play poker or blackjack versus the other kids in poe or the other elves. She found that “bluffing” was not the same as outright “lying” so her power as a lie detector did not work on most. She usually fell back on body tells or ticks…the best skill or power, was hearing the other players heart rate and then figuring out when down meant “bluff” or up meant “bluff or huge bluff!”

Shadowsblade here.
This story in a joint venture with a group of fan fic authors, so far this group is made up of Nuuan, then Branek and finally myself. We all got together and after a jumpy start decided to make a group of stories that all take place within the Whateley fanfic universe.
To have an idea about the main protagonist this story's will develop
around here is a short introduction.

Vantier a Whateley Tale :Written by Shadowsblade
Ancient and Powerful Vantier awakens in a foreign world, struggling to
find her place in it.
You might ask yourself what is the Whateley Universe? To make it short,
here is a abstract straight out off the wiki.
Whateley is a Prep School for different teens. VERY different ones. Where else could a kid go to a school that has a resident demon living in the furnace? Or meet magic users, mutants of every imaginable kind, get trained in how to handle some rather odd abilities, and worry about
flunking Freshman English? Come visit Whateley Academy, nestled in the
lovely hills of New Hampshire. Just down the road from a town named
Dunwich... (Mythos jokes purely intentional).
This is the Whateley Academy Universe, a shared universe with over a dozen authors and more than a hundred stories (and counting). The stories range in size from vignettes to novels. It's a Mutant High scenario with both a strong transgender theme and a slightly watered down Cthulhu Mythos theme.
It's also very much a work in progress.'
