PART ONE: EVOLUTION

Chapter Four: Entrapment

If I or she should chance to be
Involved in this affair,
He trusts to you to set them free,
Exactly as we were.

Mystery Votes

A few months back I noted that I had just received (that day) a single vote on more than half of my stories. This has happened again. I assume it is a software glitch. Has anyone else received votes on most of their stories today? I'd like to believe that somehow thirty-one of my old stories received votes today, but that's about twenty-nine more than what I normally would receive on any given day.

Weird Dreams or What ??

Hi all, thought that I would share two dreams I had within days of each other. The first was looking down on a hospital room with two patients, one was screaming following S.R.S. and the other was spitting angry; both patients had the same name and the wrong patient had the surgery. The second dream I had was where I ordered a feteshists dream concoction of a full body rubber bodysuit and was about to try it on, only then did I dissapear from the dreamscape leaving the bodysuit to crumple to the floor.

There's a new feature here at BC, at the end of all stories entered as Fiction or Wysiwyg that are rated General or Mature, there are a row of buttons for passing a link to that story on to various social media sites. It's been there since Monday. :)

I don't know if anyone has used it yet but no one has commented on it, so I thought I ought to blog about it to draw some attention.

Tell me what you think.

If you want to post a story Without the Social Media Buttons, rate it Restricted or higher or use the Story input type instead of Fiction.

Hugs,
Erin

Picture formatting

I've noticed that several people have stories with a picture on the same line as the title with the text centered in the remaining space, like Angharad's Easy As Falling Off A Bike. Whenever I try to get a picture on the same line as text the text ends up aligned with the bottom of the picture, and only one line of text; the rest goes above or below it. What am I doing wrong?

Its Not Nice

I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to explain to my keepers... I don’t belong in here.

It was just a joke for April Fools. Yeah, some joke. I swear Tom got off a lot more lightly than I did.

Songs I Never Heard - Who's Your favorite designer?

The Cowboy in a Pink Armani Suit

How I wished this truly was a Song I Never Heard. My Mom used to play country music all the time while ironing, and teaching me to iron. Oh my such simple times. And such simple minded songs. This was a favorite, along with other Marty Robbins Songs. Though somehow I don't think this is quite what he had in mind. LOL

I don't think I need any quotes to entice those of you who've gotten this far to continue. Just enjoy Jacqui's new beginning.

Somewhere Between Purgatory and Hell

Somewhere Between Purgatory And Hell

The world that you know is a cruel one.
It is full of pain and despair and hope.

I listen for that is what I do.
Tell me your tales so that I may forget them.
I will tell you what you want to hear.
Then I will tell you the truth.

The truth shall hurt you as it hurts us all.
Hurt tells us we are alive and whole.
That feeling of euphoria is but an illusion of pixels.
Pixels of fantasies and electronic adrenaline.

Hospital gowns get a makeover

Hospitals feature quite heavily on this site - both in fictional stories and in real life blogs. So you may be interested in this story from Tuesday...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8582161.stm

Hospital gowns, bed bays, chairs and washrooms have been given a makeover to prevent patients being exposed and embarrassed.

The initiative, led by the Department of Health and the Design Council, aims to transform a stay in hospital, making it a more modest experience.

a tale of two dances

Well, I thought I would share the story of 2 dances I attended. The first one was in Junior high. A girl talked me into showing up (not as her date, just to go), and I was miserable because I was struggling with shyness, so I did something bad. When the song "3 dressed up as a 9" came on, I found the girl, and said it was her song. (Not nice, I know) But she topped me in the nasty department the next day, when she began to spread the rumor I had danced with a boy and had wore a dress.

OTH Posted at StarDust

Greeting and salutations! Part 14 and the Final Chapters of Once the Hero is posted at StarDust! This completes my 2nd novel. Yay me!

I'll post that final part here at BC on Sunday along with the character list already up at Stardust.

I do have a question for all my readers. Anyone who have seen Tim Allen's Zoom's Academy can see the similarities between OTH and that movie. I'm thinking about doing a self-published version of OTH, but if it's Plagiarized that of course is out. I'm simply too close to the story to tell. My question is does anyone think my story is plagiarizic?

The Princess and the Plague: 51

The Princess and the Plague
Part 51
By Anistasia Allread

Erika felt a little light headed as she was wheeled on a stretcher through chilly corridors and into what could only be a surgical room.

A group of masked men and women busy in specific activities bustled around her. A few helped to mover her to a hard table and began asking her the same questions that she had answered over fifty times since she had checked in to the hospital.

To those that hate series stories

Edeyn You all know I love you, anyway. Heh. This is to those that like series, too, by the way. And yes, I will be getting back to more writing, on even my older stuff starting this week! School is finally giving me a bit of breathing room.

But! My latest offering, Aisling was thought of specifically with those that hate series in mind. It's a limited, or mini- series, if you will. It will be completed and in a relatively short amount of time. The title will let you know that it's finished when it is -- which will be ASAP!

I Woke, Part 9

I WOKE, PART 9

I cried. I was in the ICU, waiting for my old body to die. I tried to calm myself down by organizing my thoughts since the accident that left me trapped in the body of Allison Allen. It was the end of Spring Break, and the next day I was due back in class for the first time as Allison.

Holly Hart

Okay, I'm an old man and still don't know how to use my computer. That being said, I can't thank Holly Hart enough for all the hard work she has done with my latest story. She's teaching me things I never knew besides cleaning up the mess I send her to, "Just take a little look, it won't be hard." This latest part of the story is over twenty thousand words and she has been kind enough to fit me in even though she is in the middle of moving and a new job. I bestow on you, Holly, sainthood because you deserve it, Arecee

I Hate Taking Off My Makeup!

I look in the mirror on my return home. There are the perfect eyes and lips I painted a few hours before. I'm definitely getting the hang of this makeup business. Pencil eyeliner, four shades of shadow expertly blended, brows trimmed, plucked, combed and secured in the right shape with some pump-type hairspray that I've transferred to an empty clear mascara bottle. The gel that came in it was useless, so I took it apart and washed it out. My lashes are bold and beautiful. The latest two-part mascara I've tried looks to be a big winner. They'll probably discontinue it next month.

Up, and then back down

Well, I had a great time at the meeting. Nice guys, and made me feel welcome. So that part was good. Unfortunatly, real life came back with a literal crash at work today. I am stuck working in the stock room at my work for the next 5 weeks, which will mean more hours, but it started with me dropping a roller on my ankle, which really hurt. By the end of the day, I was sore, tired, and depressed. Ah, well.

Well, somebody asked....

A few months ago I remember responding to someone who asked would people be willing to post a photo. Nothing Salacious, just a sort of "Hey, this is me!"

Well, at the time, I didn't have any photos of myself, but I did state my willingness to post one, so here it is. Now whoever asked has to look at my face every time I comment on something. Serves ya right!

Trimming the Tree - Part 2

Trimming the tree part two
A story by Allie Elle

Jonathon got out of his chair and walked around the table and gently
wrapped his arms around the young girl. He gently rocked her and kept
looking around for whatever had threatened the little girl. He could not
find anything but he was still feeling somewhat protective of this girl,
Derek looked around and saw the boy rocking Emma and that the child was
crying. All the tow of them could get from Emma was the two words "be
good" repeated over and over again.

Without a Trace - Part 8

Without a Trace - Part 8

"So JR after that little chat you still want to go ahead with this?"

"Yes Sis it needs to be done too many have been hurt for too long, whoever is doing this needs to be stopped and at least jailed or given therapy" JR stated firmly "Well it looks like we start going shopping for my new young sister. I do hope you don’t end up needing diaper's though"

"Very funny Sis” but the thought did worry JR.

Finally Finding Myself Part 5 (Updated)

Finally Finding Myself Chapter 5

As I said in the previous chapter, I've been updating this story. This chapter needed the most work. It was rushed to have a happy ending, people acted out-of-character, and it had weird, unexplained, local terminology that didn't fit in the story. It still has the same ending sentence, but it's not as happily-ever-after as before, in order to save room for chapter six.

Jamie was surprised that her mom now knew her secret. She never would have said it if she hadn't thought she might make it through the blackness back to the land of the living. However, it was out now. There was no turning back.

Sarah Carerra - 1.27 - There's Something about Seeing Mary

I needed Emily and Ethan. I wouldn't be able to do this without them. In fact, I didn't want to do this without them! If Em and Ethan didn't learn my secret soon, Sarah Carerra's career would be over before it ever truly began.
