A slip of the tongue?

Was remembering something that happened at my daughter's birthday party. We went swimming, and after I had changed into trunks I realized I had to go back out into the public area to get something. Well, I was suddenly struck with a feeling of being indecent, exposed, because I didnt have on a top. Even my daughter commented on it, as if she had expected me to wear one. She sometimes seems to struggle with calling me "Daddy" and sometimes slips and calls me "Mom".

Hard Sell 2

Hi Everyone! After the events Dear Understanding spouse explained in her blog we found PC Shield (Our Anti-Virus provider) hit us with a 50 buck 're-new' charge for our two computers without notifying us of it. Being on a limited fixed income this is a BAD thing. Can anyone suggest another Anti-virus that doesn't take business lessons from the Mafia?

Hugs!

I Hate the Hard Sell!

I know this has nothing to do with TG elements, but I know a lot of you are computer savvy, as I am not.

Yesterday, my computer somehow caught a cold. A trojan horse or virus, I'm not sure which, was acquired. I called the local tech support number that was listed on the anti-virus program Grover and I use for our computers.

Did anyone's Marriage survive transition?

This is important. I have a friend who wants to transition, and thinks that their grown children and present wife will be fine with it. She has not talked with the children before this time about it.

I think that if there is any chance of success, then the wife and children need to have known about the situation for a long long time, and it will take a woman of astonishing fortitude to survive it. She will read this blog.

Many Blessings

thanks, and "Gregor's" story

Well, once again, I am reminded not to make decisions when in the middle of a depressive episode. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to keep writing, I am feeling better emotionally. Besides I have a story to share, and I dont know any group who would "get" it like you guys and gals will, or so I hope.

Cynthia and the High School Years - Part 2, Chapters 4 & 5

Cynthia and the High School Years — Part 2, Chapters 4 & 5

By Portia Bennett

Not surprisingly, there is a small and decreasing population of witches in the New England area. Word about Cindy, Bobbie, and Randi is out there; thanks to publications like The Journal of Witchcraft and word of mouth, much initiated by The Wizard. The New England Coven holds a meeting in the girls’ home town, and they and their mothers are invited. Marissa and Sally find out who they really are, but Marissa probably knew for a long time. Maddy and her two students, Silky and Chloe, perform for everyone, and Randi is up to her usual tricks.

I decided to go on and post Chapter 5, also. There is not a lot of action; however, there is an important discussion concerning the event that led to Sally’s early mind erasure. This chapter is really the set-up for Chapter 6, which concerns a significant confrontation between Cindy and Bobbie.

Not trolling for Votes - But, Seeking Help

Dear Friends:

On Monday, I posted my second story, a story I wrote for the March Contest, entitled "The Consequences of Foolishness." It, as of my last check had just about 1100 reads, 27 votes and 1 comment. I think the number of reads is great. I wish it had received more votes, but the number is small but okay. I am not using this post to troll for people to read it now, and vote for it. However, I am disappointed by the lack of comments. The only one I received was from my good friend Andrea Lena DiMaggio, and I appreciate it.

So, Here I Am - Chapter 8

So, Here I Am

CHAPTER 8

College Years

The town we were living in had a nice college, therefore, I had to go to it because of finances. I would live at home while going to classes. My dad had wanted to be a medical doctor but was forced to drop out of college when my sister was born. It seemed like a good idea for me to try to do what he could not, so, I decided to be pre-med in college, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. I was accepted into the college and would start in September.

Apologies

I wish to offer my sincerest apologies to all of the authors here on BC. I have been a member here for almost 40 weeks, and have been a visitor for several years. Up until now I have been a “lurker”, reading stories and not voting or commenting on any stories that I like or dislike. I have read the blogs, and generally scan the comments at the end of stories, without adding anything of my own. (Though I have started to vote for stories that I like). I truly enjoy this site and most of the stories that are posted here, I like the community feeling and mutual support that is offered.

An Historic Annulment

An Historic Annulment
In part conceived by Dreammaker

Fifty years, fifty years ago I had proposed to her and next month we would repeat our vows in the same church in which we had said “I do”, as the our minister led us to union. I wanted to repeat all the steps that had led to a life time with my soul mate and lover. Age brings wisdom but at other times it is not a blessing and, neither she nor I could hike Max Patch Bald, the North Carolina Mountain on which I had proposed, but I had an idea on how I could do it all over again.

Interesting

While 80 stories were posted during the last week here on BCTS, another 94 older stories were edited and reposted by the authors or one of our volunteer editors or commented one by some reader. Now in some cases, that was just us opening up the story to file it into one of the new author pages but still, I don't think any other TG fiction site has so much activity going on with older stories. :)

Chapter 31

Andrew finds his Father in the midst of organizing several builders who, with some assistance from several hundred warriors, are in the process of felling trees for use in building as well as clearing the tree stumps and leveling portions of the land in preparation of building. There is a gentle slope to the land which will assist greatly in the drainage of the area should there be a hard rain, which always seems to happen when one least expects it, and the entire area appears to be quite adequate for the buildings and creation of a grassy field for use as a training ground. While the entire scene viewed from afar appears to be a ‘mad-house’, upon closer inspection everything may be determined to be well orchestrated with many logs being brought to the mill and kilns which have been hastily erected within the initial clearing.

Karma. I am a believer.

So, here I am the Infamous Lanza. Hatemonger extraordinaire.

So Yes, Earlier this week I posted an inflammatory blog, about how I didn't like naming my characters ordinary names. a few other things were mentioned and I won't go into detail. However I guess the lords and Ladies above saw this action, and another which is why I am posting this.

I apparently made a fellow student who attends my College algebra class cry. down right tears. Over a remark I don't even remember making. Again, I guess the Lords and Ladies above saw this.

Panick Attack

Edeyn So... the reason for the panick attack isn't really important. But. Last night I woke screaming and ended up rocking back and forth on my bed hugging my knees for about an hour... or five.

What I'm asking here, is if I'm the only one that has this problem. Am I? I mean, I'm able to handle things most times but I have little moments in my life and memory that are essentially me taking a brief vacation from sentience.

For those of you reading it, is the size of todays post okay? Would you prefer a two chapter post like Friday's? I'm playing around a bit with post size. I'm also considering posting one chapter on Tuesdays and two chapters on Fridays... (It's forty chapters total) What do you all think? I'm listening :-).

Dreaming of Cheers - Chapter 3

Dreaming of Cheers
Standing Up to Life: Book 3
Part 2 of 23

by Tiffany Shar

Intro by Carla Ann

“Tiffany, I’ve asked you how everything is going with people and the activities you’re involved in, but you haven’t mentioned how you are coping with everything.” She emphasized the ‘you,’ when she asked that.

“Well, better than I was last year,” I started. “Way better than last year… I have a lot of friends now, and I’m not getting picked on every day.” I saw her eyes boring into me looking for something else. “Alright, I don’t know how I’m doing right now.” I told her honestly.

“What do you mean?” She asked.

“Well for one I’m really tired of everyone guessing I’m five if I wear the wrong clothes.” I told her hesitantly. I was sure my parents had filled her in with everything anyway, “Tuesday was pajama day. Mom and I had found some cute pajamas with feet on them that would fit Amy and me, so we wore them for pajama day. We really did look cute dressed like that, and I was having a lot of fun with it. That was until the sub in English class thought that I was someone’s little sister that had come them to school that day.”

I was really surprised Dr. Reynolds didn’t laugh about it, but I continued, “Then the next day the whole squad was wearing shortalls and our hair done in pigtails and I looked to be about five again. One of my best friends even brought a doll to school to play a joke on the sub that we’d had. I don’t think she knew that it really upset me though. I’m not five, I’m twelve! Amy has grown about five inches here in the last couple months, but I’m still the same height I was last year. It’s good for cheerleading stuff because people can toss me so easily… but…” I was doing my best to not go into tears over all of this. “as long as we’ve got my puberty stopped then I won’t be doing much growing. That’s all on top of the fact that I’m never going to be able to have periods like my friends… and I’m stuck with this stupid thing between my legs,” I told her with a great deal of exasperation. “I’m so tired of having to look at it, or hide it, every time I turn around. I know you can’t do anything about it till I’m eighteen – but I wish it could be gone now!” I had gone to tears now.

Chocolate CAN be good for you...

...but before you start celebrating, there's a catch.

In the study, the benefits came to those consuming only one measly chunk per day, or one bar a week.

And then only if it's used to replace a similar number of calories of other snacks. Nutritionists are such spoilsports, aren't they?!

Cynthia and the High School Years — Part 2, Chapter 3

By Portia Bennett

Marissa and Cindy have a ‘mother-daughter’ conversation. Marissa proves to be much wiser about things than was first indicated. Cindy comes to the conclusion that her mother is a witch, and just like Bobbie’s mother, Sally, something has happened to prevent her magic from developing. There are some problems at school. Three of the students are particularly bigoted, and don’t hold back about revealing their displeasure with Don’s racial origin. This is a project for The Wizard.

Skipper! Chapter 25

Skipper! by Beverly Taff

This chapter follows events after the and the court case that ensues concerning the 'Honour Killings' There is litle or no transgendered material in this 'interim connection' chapter but there is some philosphical exploration of the relationships between faiths and transgenderism. (Have I got an agenda here?) I ask myself. Possibly, even probably, yes.
