Dreaming of Cheers
Standing Up to Life: Book 3
Part 4 of 23

by Tiffany Shar

Intro by Carla Ann

“Tiffany, I’ve asked you how everything is going with people and the activities you’re involved in, but you haven’t mentioned how you are coping with everything.” She emphasized the ‘you,’ when she asked that.

“Well, better than I was last year,” I started. “Way better than last year… I have a lot of friends now, and I’m not getting picked on every day.” I saw her eyes boring into me looking for something else. “Alright, I don’t know how I’m doing right now.” I told her honestly.

“What do you mean?” She asked.

“Well for one I’m really tired of everyone guessing I’m five if I wear the wrong clothes.” I told her hesitantly. I was sure my parents had filled her in with everything anyway, “Tuesday was pajama day. Mom and I had found some cute pajamas with feet on them that would fit Amy and me, so we wore them for pajama day. We really did look cute dressed like that, and I was having a lot of fun with it. That was until the sub in English class thought that I was someone’s little sister that had come them to school that day.”

I was really surprised Dr. Reynolds didn’t laugh about it, but I continued, “Then the next day the whole squad was wearing shortalls and our hair done in pigtails and I looked to be about five again. One of my best friends even brought a doll to school to play a joke on the sub that we’d had. I don’t think she knew that it really upset me though. I’m not five, I’m twelve! Amy has grown about five inches here in the last couple months, but I’m still the same height I was last year. It’s good for cheerleading stuff because people can toss me so easily… but…” I was doing my best to not go into tears over all of this. “as long as we’ve got my puberty stopped then I won’t be doing much growing. That’s all on top of the fact that I’m never going to be able to have periods like my friends… and I’m stuck with this stupid thing between my legs,” I told her with a great deal of exasperation. “I’m so tired of having to look at it, or hide it, every time I turn around. I know you can’t do anything about it till I’m eighteen – but I wish it could be gone now!” I had gone to tears now.

Sorry to everyone who was offended

My sincere apoligies to anyone who was offended by my little essay. (Which, judgeing from the responce, was most people who read it). I hoped to get a conversation going on the subject, and boy, did that succeed, but never meant to hurt anybody's feelings. Right now i am debating trying to reword it better, or maybe just dumping it entirely as a bad job. I will think about it for a couple of days, and then decide.

No More SKYPE

I used to use SKYPE a lot; spending hours talking to my friends. I used to talk to one of my friends in Qatar, who is a patron of BC, and another who lives in Saudia, plus several people here in the US. Then the service overseas, began to gradually deteriorate, and then the finally in the states. It got so I kept it on and mostly talked only to those who called me on it, if the service was working that day.

Cynthia and the High School Years — Part 2, Chapters 11 & 12

By Portia Bennett

Chapters 11 & 12: There are several loose ends to take care of. Cindy and Don have to find a place to live in Boston. Myrna and Avery already have a place, tiny as it is. Bobbie is already set up with Andy at Wake-Forest. Finding a suitable place to live proves to be difficult; however, they realize there are several options for the future. They do find a homeless teenager who is living a very precarious existence. Cindy, Bobbie, and The Wizard save the day. This adventure draws to a close. College starts in a week. The Wizard is finally able to sleep peacefully.

On Cross-Dressing and TG

On Cross-dressing and Transgender

There are, in my opinion, a number of levels to cross-dressing and transgendered tendencies. (For the sake of this essay, I will only deal with Male to Female, mostly because that’s the side I know best).

Duty, Honor, Country, Family - Part 21

“Chuck, I have been bad to you.”

“Kimi-chan, why do you say that?”

“I’ve lied to you.”

“About your work, you mean?”

“Yes, but there is more,” Hiromi said as Chuck passed her some Kleenex from the nightstand. “I’ve lied about other things. Sometimes I did it to protect you but many, if not most, of my lies were because I’m afraid of what you will think about me when I tell you the truth.”

Synopsis- FBI Agent Gabrielle Tanaka is kept very busy as the date for Hiromi Sato’s trip to Australia nears.

If We Can Put a Man on the Moon...

then why can't someone invent a hanger that will keep a wide necked blouse from ending up on the floor? Ever since men decided that staring down a woman's cleavage was a desirable option, designers have made blouses that have necklines approximately the circumference of a small city so they can peer down into the the Valley of Flesh. So why are even those wide hangers with the little indents for straps on them still too small to keep a blouse securely on them?

Edeyn So... yeah. Some of you may remember a short story compilation involving TG situations that was soliciting stories, it was posted on here about a year ago, give or take... it was called, "Scheherazade's Façade" and you could enter as many potential pieces during the submission cycle (01 November, 2009 to 28 February, 2010) as you wished as long as each was a separate submission.

all dressed up, and unable to go

Well, I feel like a coward. I was going to go to my local pride center again tonight as dorothy, but after i got ready, i was overwhelmed by anxiety. I was trying my best to force myself out the door, when I saw a kid go by outside, and just couldnt make myself leave the house dressed. Sorry folks, I feel like i let you guys down, like i am going backward instead of forward. Sigh.

The Cynthia Chronicals - Volume 1 Coming to a Close

The penultimate posting of the Cynthia Chronicles is now up. To me, Chapter 8 represents the most important chapter in Cindy's life since her first encounter with The Wizard many years before. There are several chapters and tales under construction that may eventually appear in The Cynthia Chronicles - Volume 2. These will follow the further adventures of the group as they go through college and beyond. We will find out what the major motivation has been behind The Wizard and his group's actions.

One night in a small town.

One night in a small town

Its not always easy to be a small town lawyer. Unlike the big city, I actually know most of my clients away from the courthouse, and it can create some very embarrassing moments. But nothing had prepared me for this particular night.

I got a call to come to the jailhouse, and found James Mallery, who was normally a deputy, behind bars. But that wasn’t the most shocking thing. It was how he was dressed. What he was wearing would have looked good at a fancy dress dance, assuming the wearer was a girl.

Cynthia and the High School Years - Part 2, Chapters 8, 9, & 10

Cynthia and the High School Years — Part 2, Chapters 8, 9 & 10

By Portia Bennett

Chapter 8: Many years ago Cindy was a little nine year old girl just beginning to learn what being a girl and young woman was all about. Now it’s the week between Christmas and New Years and the two lovers are taking the final steps. When I started this writing this series of stories last year, this chapter was always the objective. Although this chapter represents the most important thing in Cindy’s life up to now, the story is far from over, and it won’t be completed for quite a while.

Chapter 9: The Brewers are invited for dinner, and although they didn’t know it at the time, they are going to meet The Wizard. Once again Randi manages to steal the show. The Brewers are surprisingly accepting.

Chapter 10: Don and Cindy, Bobbie and Andy, and Avery and Myrna spend a delightful weekend at their favorite place. We find out that Avery remembers some other things. Bobbie and Cindy meet an old acquaintance. Someone they met in Cynthia and the Dumpster Diver.

The Spirituality of This Day...

On this special day of spirituality, I wish to be thankful for my 'cyber family'. Thank you Drea and Alison, commonly referred to as Mom and Gram. Without your support and wisdom, and good will, my little world would simply be filled with the pain of others. You have provided me with the love and advise that I haven't had in quite some time.

May you both have strength, full days, and all the blessings this life can provide...

A grateful, emotionally overcome, lil' Irish Brat

And to the friends I've made in our little community, I pray that your words never cease.

Are there FtM's here? OH So HOT!

I have noticed some FtM story activity and wondered who wrote them. If an actual FtM wrote them then I would like to say welcome. My one time therapist was one and we got along well, but curiously as soon as I moved on, he won't even say hi on the street now. Hmmmm. Most of you that I have met are very pleasant and youthful people.

God! I just saw some transmen on a web page. I got ta get me one of these!!!!!

Tmen, you are so HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!T Take me, beat me, make me squeal!!@!!

Firefly: Double Booked | Part 5: Rough Landing

This is a fan fiction set in the Firefly/Serenity universe created by Joss Whedon. It takes place soon after the events in the television series and the companion motion picture that followed, and is also the fifth part of a sequel to Firefly: Connecting Flight. This means it has SPOILERS, folks, and major ones at that. So please don't read this unless you get the chance to see the series and the movie -- and read my first Firefly story (and the first three chapters of this one).

In the fifth part of FIREFLY: DOUBLE BOOKED, Mal and Jayne head off to a special delivery, only to discover just how "special" it is. The crew get a guided tour of beautiful downtown Flynt, only to discover there's nothing beautiful about it. And everyone learns why Flynt isn't a nice place to visit, only to discover a reason to have to.

The Oak and the Willow, a Fable

The Oak and the Willow, a fable

In a field, there was an oak at one end, and a willow-tree at the other.

Whenever a wind moved through the field, the willow swayed in the wind, while the oak remained unmoved.

When this happened, the willow said to itself, “I wish I was as strong as the Oak, instead of bending over with every breeze“ then one day a large windstorm whipped through the field.

Book 7 in the Gaby saga sees all sorts of action from our Hero/Heroine.

More action on the Bike and with the gang, getting into all sorts of trouble.

Just where will it all end?

Tuesday...

To all of you who have been wondering if I have fallen off the face of the Earth, I can honestly say that gravity works on me too and I am still here.

Pen's mum's funeral was held on Thursday and I have been busy helping with the arrangements, most notably, the Order Of Service booklets. My job was to produce pictures of Rosamond that would hopefully show her as we best remembered her and from the feedback and number of people who were keeping their copies, it was mission accomplished.

a conversation with my ex

Well, I took a plunge yesterday. I finally owned up to the ex what i was feeling and thinking. She is convinced that if i will only pray the right way, allow God to work, that I will be cured of this need to be female. She simply will not listen when I tell her that I have prayed, I have tried, and nothing has changed. So she took me to a friend of hers place, and tried to double team me, but even the friend admitted that they would refuse to hospitilize me to try and cure me of this. The ex wants me to talk to her pastor before taking any steps towards being female, and I said i would.

Chapter 1 — Metamorphosis

Mutation has closed doors for many, leaving them outcast and alone. But it has opened doors for some desperate individuals. Larry is one of the latter, and more than desperate enough to give it a try. An experimental new treatment may give him what he wants, or it may destroy his life forever...

Victorian Corset Fiction

10 years ago, there were some interesting Victorian Era Corset Training stories lurking on the internet, and I used to enjoy reading them once in a while. They were not TG and some dealt with coeds in finishing school. One which was TG in a sense was "Prisoner of Fashion", or something like that. I notice that these sites and sources have basically disappeared. :)

Memories Are Made Of This

Memories are made of these

I was having a boring day off, so I decided to go to the mall for a bit. Nearing 40, and a single guy, you would think that I would be out looking for a good time, but for a number of reasons, I just preferred to stay home and watch movies.

So I was headed for my favourite movie store when I spotted a new store called “Memories are made of these”. At first glance, I thought it was maybe a nostalgia store, but peeking inside, it was laid out like a video store.

Cynthia and the High School Years — Part 2, Chapters 6 & 7

By Portia Bennett

Chapter 6: Bobbie is concerned that Cindy has not taken the final steps in her relationship with Don. After all, from a life experience point of view, they are both over 35 years old. So, Bobbie and Andy have given Cindy and Don a little Christmas present.

Chapter 7: The group gets together over the Thanksgiving holiday and Avery is brought in on the magical aspects of the group. He also remembers Donna.

Jamie and the Peach - 06

jatptitle.jpg

This is a new occasional series that takes its basis and some of its storyline from the cancelled Tokyopop Manga, Yubisaki Milk Tea by Tomochika Miyano. It’s a great series and well worth looking out, it’s a mystery why they cancelled it. For my version I’ve changed the setting from Japan to England and of course the names, then I’ve added some new characters and situations to produce Jamie and the Peach. The original series was cancelled before completion but I intend to take my version somewhat further!

Whatever Next?

My latest effort in my Gaby Dorset trilogy is with my editor having its 'ead 'it. I hope to get it to Mad over the weekend, and presumably she'll add it to her site when she does the next update. I'll post a link - if I can remember when it goes up. There's a bit of a bike race in this one, just for a change.
