Back To Work!

Home from the hospital, at least for a while! The surgeon removed a large calloused area on the bottom of my foot (like I have that much to spare!). I have to go in for surgery in two weeks ro "stretch the Achilles tendon" which the surgeon says will be quite painful! I'm sooooo lucky!
If you didn't notice, chapter 2 of my story is up, as promised. I hope y'all like it! If not, be nice and tell me why! If you do like it, be nice and tell me why! I want to be a better writer, suggestions are welcome! (Hey y'all, over there! We'll have none of that kind of talk, thar's LADIES present!)

A Sweets Life-Chapter 2

A Sweets Life-Chapter 2

I'm back with more, as promised!

As usual, Robin, Tina and Jenny waited to walk Andrew to school. No one made a big deal about it, but each girl carried in her heart the memory of the promise they had made to Mr. Gabriel, that they would protect Andrew.

Besides, it was fun! Andrew was very smart and funny, and a great friend. Walking together was a treat, not a chore. It just brought the four of them closer together.

Conversion therapy

Despite the criticism and even condemnation of this type of therapy, people are still doing it and getting away with it. It says more about the therapist than the client.

This article appeared in todays Guardian, it was quite interesting.

Twilight At The Balcony...

Sadly real life had reared it's ugly head and due to recent financial concerns and psychological issues of myself the Balcony is due to see it's last days in the near future as I don't see any reason or means to keep it up anymore. Lack of interest of myself and loss of the outdated software I used to use to connect with it and even the software I used to create some of the pages has been lost due to depressed disinterest and lack of any real responses over the years to the site. Anywho, Erin, Bob and others have done a much better job that I in keeping the literary word flowing.

Really great story

I really like the great stories here. Once in a while my patience wears thin on the TG genre and I go looking for something else. I watch an author like Apache and Lazlo Zalesac. He has a really great one up about Corporate America and I can tell you with authority that it is the most factual, true to life story I have seen on the subject. I am sure that some of the members here can identify with it. There is NO sex. There is no menu so you will have to fumble with the address bar to get through the chapters.

DSM-v comment: A dangerous diagnosis. Take action now

This is really long, though it is the references that are responsible. If you haven't commented on the DSM-V, please read the pertinent section and do so. It's easy. Also check out the petition. If we don't make noise, then the assholes rewriting the DSM-% are going to make it worse on many of us.

Tangential relations twixt science and stories

Read an article the other day and as it had the same (nick)name of a certain character in one of my favorite stories her, I thought I would share the link here.

A Heartfelt Goodbye to a Spirited Mars Rover

Mars Exploration Rover Project Manager John Callas sent a letter to his team shortly after the final command was sent to the Mars rover Sprit, which operated on the surface of Mars for more than six years and made numerous scientific discoveries.

A nice lunch

I wanted to share with you all about my lunch yesterday. A friend from my support site met me at a mall, and we enjoyed a nice lunch, and then I went with her while she shopped. She told me I look more relaxed compared to the last time we went out, and my feminine nature came through even more clearly. It was a nice compliment.

Queen of The May Editing

Queen of The May Editing
Blog

By Stanman63

I agreed to edit Queen of The May, knowing that there would be many who would nit pick the author's story from some sense of moral superiority. SHE HAS ALREADY WRITTEN THE STORY! SHOULD SHE HANG HER HEAD IN SHAME BECAUSE YOU DO NOT APPROVE?

I hate having to post this, but all of this nitpicking might cause her to leave. HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THAT?

It's a boy girl thing.

Ths film is on BBC iplayer at the moment for those who can access it and those who like body swap stories - about a boy and a girl who hate each others guts but end up in each other's bodies.

It's American but Sharon Osbourne has a part in it!

Small Delay in "A Sweets Life"-I hope!

I'm currently in the hospital, using a borrowed computer without MSWord, so it's a bit difficult to write at this time. Apparently I have a bad infection in my foot (the only one I have left!). The Docs are having fun exploring it, and I just pray the infection is not in the bone. Chapter 2 is done, I just need to clean it up some-as soon as I get home, I'll post it. Sorry for the delay!

I Was A Craig's List Trophy Wife -- Marc's Story

I Was A Craig's List Trophy Wife — Marc's Story

by

Lesley Renee Charles

I don't know what is was that night but I decided to read the advertisements in Craig's List. After the messy, painful divorce from my ex-wife I have not been looking for someone.

Delays, delays!

Those of you following my main novels, Becoming Robin and Boys Don't Cry have probably noticed I haven't been very active lately. Part of that is that this is storm season, and since I usually do my writing in the evening, that's put a big halt to using the main PC. I finally got Windows 7 on my laptop though I still need to find my MS Office disc for that.

air force sweetheart -- TacPzlSolGp Addendum

Hello everyone,

While hunting for more chapters for another story, I came across this short piece written by Teddi and concerning her AFS volume 01.

I found it to be of interest and hope you will also as it explains just a little of the strange thinking which sometimes goes on in strategic planning.

Got a great phone call.

I got a call yesterday from someone I used to work with. His mother-in-law is visiting, and she read his copy of my book. She LOVED it, and wants a copy for herself to take back to ALASKA with her so she can have her friends read it! We had a very nice phone conversation and I thanked her for calling to tell me that she loved the book. So now I gotta order a couple of copies so I can have one handy should this happen again! LOL

I am frustrated with my work already

well, I'm very ticked off. Apparently, the schedule I was given wasnt worth the paper it was written on. The night supervisor called me tonight wondering where I was. According to him, I was supposed to give him the schedule they gave me and have him sign off on it, and without any input from me, he booked me for tonight. So I'm one day into my new job and am already at odds with my manger. Sigh.

Minor computer problems

Haven't been on most of the day due to minor computer problems. My Time Machine backup disk turned flakey on me so I had to go to town, buy a new one and, bring it home and reformat it for MacOS and install. Not really a big deal, but I got a decent drive instead of a cheapie and that took some research.

Hugs,
Erin

A good first day, and about "Yes, Dear."

Well, my first shift was pretty good, and at least a couple people made a point of calling me Dorothy and one teased me and called me a young lady. All in all, I'm impressed so far. Meanwhile, I wanted to take a moment to talk about "Yes, Dear." I've been playing around with showing the difference between forced fem and consensual dressing up. The latter can be a fun experience between a couple, the former is merely torture. Accordingly, I set the piece up as dark as I dared, making it appear that I was telling a horror story, and then sprang my little surprise of the fact it was all a game.

Boy? Girl? Letting the child decide.

Ran across an interesting story about how 2 parents are trying to raise 'genderless' children. It's interesting reading and gives me hope that someday our race will mature.
WARNING, don't read the comments following the story. The usual bigots and a@@holes posted their venom...

Between One Step and the Next, Part 1

Sam Wells sat on a bench and tried not to cry. He had just come from a frustrating meeting with a government agency and was debating in his head what he should do next. Months of underemployment had left him on the edge of losing his home, but nobody seemed able to help him.
