I had loads I could have done today, from mowing grass to doing laundry to riding my bike. I was too tired or lazy to do any of them. I didn't even get dressed but have sat about in my nightdress all day reading Snafu - I'd quite like to do another chapter of that if I can find the energy and I'm quite pleased with some of the earlier chapters.

Can someone please help me? I had to change laptops as my old one died, & I lost a thread I was reading called The Last of the Fey, & I cant remember the author. Getting old is a real pain & the memory goes first Thanks

Last July I revisited Aviano Air Base north of Venice, Italy. We spent three days driving around the area, and spent one day following The Prosecco Road in the Treviso Province of the Veneto to the west of Aviano. It is beautiful country. We found the vineyards where the grapes of our favorite prosecco are grown. We also learned the hard way about the changes in European cars that have not reached North America. One being that the engine stops when you come to a full stop.

There is a writer here, who, despite making some very good stories, has a terrible tendency to put herself down, and say she's not really a writer.

The name Wendy is taken, so I added my middle name on my user ID also. OddPOV is now Wendy Jean. I'm still a very odd person, but I have found I was not as different as I once thought I was. It was lonely thinking you were a pervert that had to hide for over 40 years. I now know I am neither a pervert or alone. I am me, and I am how I was made by God.

I don't recall much, other than the main character is able to switch from male to female, works in a store as a piano player and is the witness to a crime and the criminal is looking for the male side, but is hitting on the female side. Any ideas?

People don't interact with each other, not really. We interact with an image we have built up in our minds. We see each other but we don't. We build this picture of what and who a person is and every action of that person, every word they say, is filtered through what we expect. Dirty Jew, stupid black, arrogant cracker, nasty queer, stereotypes are the foundation of these images. Large brush strokes we impose on people and of which we expect them to adhere, even if we must change the facts to make them do so.

This will be my last post as OddPOV. I am updating my user name to match my new self, it will be some variation of Wendy. We tell our loved ones we don't change to comfort them with our new selves. The core remains, the soul if you will, but the fact is we do change, a lot. I have.

It was good to meet up with Mads and the rest of the crew on Friday evening for dinner at a very reasonably priced carvery to fortify us for the stresses of the next two days.

Hi All, I am trying to find a story from a few years ago. It was about a young photographer's assistant who was drafted as a model, became successful, then found that the Photographer is also a spy.I really would like to re-- read that one but can't find it.
