Serena pushes the lawnmower up and down the lawn. She was listening to music from her iPhone as she was cutting the lawn. Her purple color phony tail was bouncing with each step she took. Occasionally, she would start singing. She was wearing a pair of short shorts and a white sports bra.

Her fair skin was already starting to burn. She’s been outside since seven in the morning working in the yard. Her aunts were at work and she had the house to herself. She couldn’t wait for her friend to come over, so she could have some fun with him.

Stupid stupid bathroom bill!!

So our team is traveling back on the bus from our big HS football away game; dirty, tired and beat up without half our roster. And we didn’t even get onto the field.

"WHY?" you ask! I’ll tell you why.

It’s common knowledge a visiting team uses the opposite gender's locker room for away games. Did the stupid state government take that into account with their stupid bathroom bill?!

Martha walked into the lady's room. Red in the face, she immediately left.

"May I help you, ma'am?" the help desk clerk asked.

"Where is the lady's room? I thought I was going into the right one, but there are urinals!" she said while crossing her legs and looking decidedly uncomfortable.

Chapter Three

When I woke up this morning, I stood up and staggered slightly on my way to the bathroom. My family doctor had warned me long ago. Because of low blood pressure, I need to take my time getting out of bed. I have to be careful standing up too quickly.

No secret remains unraveled forever... even if your life is at risk.

The first day in my new High School started off well. The buildings were new, teachers actually interesting, the school turned out to have a great football team. I just love football. Not that I’ll ever play for the school being rather a ”petite” boy but you can always watch. I never missed a game at my old High School except that one time we gymnasts had an away competition at the same time. I had spent part of the lunch break looking at the football trophies and pictures of the team.

So everything was great until I had to go to the bathroom.

A secret never remains unraveled.

The next morning started with “normal” classes, but I learned something beyond what my teachers were talking about:

This is the original script I wrote back in 2001 with its original title. I shortened it to FLAW and then switched the title when my publisher thought the term “feel” would be considered hurtful.

Apparently, they never heard the song by Shania Twain.

"Miracles do happen, then?" Janet asked, making Ellie roll her eyes as she walked into the kitchen, her fluffy pink dressing gown wrapped around her to shield her from the morning autumn air.

"So I'm excited about today," Ellie shrugged. "Sue me. And besides, it's not like I shouldn't be eager to get back to college- it's not like my summer holidays have been anything to write home about."

I think the title does a fairly good job summarising the story. Caution, this story does contain sexual scenes.

A further note: this micro mini story was posted by itself instead of in a double-short story collection at the request of a reader. I'm not sure I'll break up the double-short story collections into their own postings but let me know what you all think. I will at least post the story titles in the summary for each entry.
