I was furious that the agency had made such a mistake, but somehow, I found it hard to express my anger to him. He seemed small and harmless, but he was still a man. I had been very precise in my instructions: We were a group of women speaking to female Muslim refugees about women’s’ issues – our interpreter had to be a woman.

Catherine awoke in almost the same position as the previous night but arousal was nowhere near her mind as she made her way to the bathroom and held her head while on the toilet. After a very long hot shower she felt considerably better and made her way downstairs with a slight grimace of amusement at the sound of Bobby in the shower.

By the time he made it down she was sipping on coffee, having already set up the makings of breakfast. He leaned over for a kiss and when they broke mumbled “Mmmm, you taste like coffee…”

Troy, Amy, and Samuel follow behind Mr. Bounty and Cheshire as they step outside. Just as they stepped outside a huge black wolf comes running up to Jack.

“That’s a huge wolf.” Troy couldn’t believe how big the wolf was. He figures it had to be about the same size as a werewolf or dire wolf.

“That is the legendary demon wolf, Chaos. A wolf you don’t want to mess with.” Gina had been standing nearby when her father and their guest came out.

“What makes him so legendary?” Samuel looks at Chaos and wonders what makes him so dangerous.

The arrival of the supposed ‘Downsizing Experts’ the following day proved to be rather an anti-climax. They talked the talk but didn’t really persuade Vivienne that the services that they offered were what she really needed.

Their estimates of the costs for their services based upon their inspection of her home and garden made Vivienne gasp with surprise.

“That is an awful lot. It seems rather excessive,” she said to one of the three companies.

Pain within

A piece of paper, pen in hand.
Time flows by like hourglass sand.
Words rush out from in the brain.
As tears pour down like falling rain.

The pain withheld just grows some way.
And haunts your being everyday.
From dawn to dusk and in between.
Are battles to keep the hurt unseen.

And then there comes a tiny slip.
When someone sees a subtle tip.
That not all is how your life might seem.
How the nightmare fades away the dream.

Just me

Somehow was born convicted.
And sentenced to doing time.
For being just the way I am.
And didn't once commit a crime.

They'd say I was pathetic.
And that I was a disgrace.
Minding my own business.
Someone punched me in the face.

The last one chosen for the team.
As if I really cared.
And always getting teased.
Cause of the way I wore my hair.

Free at last

I’m surrounded by people, and yet I’m alone.
I dwell in my own house, but I’m not at home.
I’ve lived most of my life, hiding inside a shell.
Tossed a fortune in hopes, into the wishing well.

Memories of time lost, and torturous pain.
Are embedded and grate, there inside my brain,
I searched for the good, but found only despair.
Would often give up with, no emotion to spare.
