Each has their own struggles as they try to figure out what is best for themselves.
Dan waited outside his boss’s office bedside the door. He could smell the sweet perfume coming from Cindy, his boss’s secretary. He looked at her as she faced away from him photocopying. She was slim but had a nicely rounded bottom. She wore a narrow black skirt and black stockings. He wasn’t sure. He knew she did sometimes, as he had seen the bulges of the clips outlined in her skirt before. She had a silky white short sleeved blouse on and 3-inch heels.
Life was good. I appreciated having Lucy in bed with me every night, Mom seemed to be happy with Lucy living with us, even if she rather thought of it as one of the sleepovers we had when we were kids.
The game is over, and reality will never be the same again.
“Liss, you just killed a God and your eyes are glowing. I can sense the divine essence in you,” I pointed out as gently as I could, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Sometimes Chaos can be a good thing. The old place was filled to the rafters, but we managed to find places for both visiting families to sleep. I graciously volunteered to sleep at Lucy's place to make room. Hey - I'm a writer, I make up stories for a living. I don't claim they're convincing stories.
Janet’s Home Office, Wolfhart Family House:
Janet was pacing back and forth while listening to her twin sister explain to her what she found out about Ludlum and Greg Hallaway. Janet stops and looks at her twin sister. She notices her sister has been wearing a pair of black hi-tech-looking sunglasses lately.
“So, you’re telling me they are heading towards an underwater city that is part of an organization called Neptune’s Network and there’s nothing we can do to stop them?” Janet stops to look at her sister’s image.
I'm Elliot Beekman, and I'm a guy. Or I was a guy.
It's something I'll have to figure out, and by the end of this story,
you'll understand my perplexity.
What if supernatural beings like Witches, Faeries, Demons, and their ilk are all real? Glen Evanston is about to be caught in their many traps in my new work in progress: Magic, Mystery, and Mayhem a Graphic Novel by Raine Monday
Author’s Note: This continues the story and characters introduced in Painted from Memory. It’s not absolutely necessary to have read that but it wouldn’t hurt :)
The following morning there was a table for four and they sat to eat a solid breakfast. Jasmin was still on a high after last night and hoped that there would be other evenings where the two of them could grace the stage. Shelly wasn’t so sure, thinking that every moment was already mapped out and that last night had been a one-off.
The Other Side of Me – Part 22
by Limbo’s Mistress
The Sunday morning sunshine stirred me into wakefulness and for a few, terribly short minutes, I lay there with my eyes closed, a little smile playing on my face as I thought about the events of the previous evening.
I had fallen into the habit of checking the mail each day when it came through the letter slot. Today's missive contained something different: a letter with FINAL NOTICE prominently printed on the envelope. Mom was three months behind on her electric bill.

Sunday was quiet. I spent much of it dismantling my old twin bed and hiding it in the closet next to my useless Harry clothes. I got a piece of plywood to expand the surface of my old school desk, set up my computer stuff and went out to buy a decent chair. That old wooden thing I used as a kid just didn't cut it any more, even if I'd padded my bottom.
Jane begins to learn more about what it means to be a girl. She gets something to start her off in her quest to solve the source of the information leak.

She used the money she saved up from hustling people like her father. Everyone that came into the pool hall always underestimated her. There were only a few times that she lost, but she won more than she lost.
Almost Halloween, on a rainy day near Buttonwillow she stole a ride...

The stowaway hitchhiker called herself Kelly, or maybe Esperanza. She seemed to be haunted by the ghost of an old man…but was the true story even stranger?
