A friendly place to read, write and discuss Transgender Fiction.
Home of 3000+ chapters of Easy as Falling off a Bike by Angharad and many other stories.
I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
A suitor and a trip to the doctor's office keep Stevie on edge. Once again, I am
a wordy writer, so only read if words are something you enjoy. Also, if you complain
that you don't understand a character's motivation while also admitting you skipped
parts of the story, then... never mind.
I hope you're all remaining well. These are such stressful times. God bless.

part 265.
I left at the end of visiting at eight. Stella seemed far more settled. She'd seen Dr Redhead again and his therapy was helping. She tried to explain it all to me, something about right brain, left brain and integrating it. I'll stick with real science, you know, counting beans, or in my case, dormice.
I walked around to the drivers side and sat in the drivers seat, after opening the passenger side door for Katie. I put the car into gear and backed out of the parking spot. I drove in the direction that Katie pointed. I stopped at the light and managed to stall the car.
It was a quarter to ten the next day as Rebecca made her way out of the Hall of Residence and headed for the main road. It felt oddly relaxing that she was here finally going to be herself.
She wondered if Sarah had been kidding about her classmates all thinking her a girl already.
I had a head like a bucket with hair like straw. I had to damp it all down again and style it. Damn, I was going to be late now, all the things I was going to do and I did none of them. I got a bit angry with myself.
I sat in the kitchen, after getting home. I made myself a cup of tea, and just thought about what had happened today. I applied for work as a waitress, dressed as a woman. The manager liked my attitude and hired me, telling me I start in the morning. Since I started at six A.M., I went in my bedroom, and set my alarm clock. Then I took out my uniform from the package, and put it on the back of my chair, very neatly, so as not to wrinkle it.
The first of (hopefully) many. This will be infrequently updated -- randomly, even. There will not be numbered parts as I don't intend to go in any sort of order. So, when there are enough to add to a "Book Outline" I'll put them in there in vaguely an order that makes sense to me and explain it then.

My eyes were straining to stay open as I tried to play the last game of solitaire. I really had to go back to the hotel to sleep and I had to drive there to do it. If I got any more dozy, I was in danger of having an accident. I glanced at my watch, it was after ten, the nurse must have forgotten I was there.
“Wait!” I said in a surprised tone. “A safe house? You mean like witness protection? What about my work? My apartment? What am I supposed to do with my stuff?”
“Slow down,” he said while holding his hands up to emphasize things. “We don’t know how long it’ll be, but I wouldn’t expect it to take too long. For now, anything you don’t have to have with you should stay here. I’ll have a uniform posted here as a guard, okay?”
“Will there be room for my upright?” I asked.
“I don’t know why not,” he responded before adding, “Which one is that?”
I woke up to being snuggled by Katie; she was warm and still asleep. She was quite cute when she was asleep. I reached over and brushed her cheek, and smiled. I had managed to get my girlfriend even though I was also wearing skirts. I glanced at the clock. It was only 3:30 AM. I put my arm around her, and pulled the blanket up over both of us, then fell back asleep. The next thing I knew Katie was shaking me awake.
I almost dropped the phone in shock. I wanted to slam down the phone. I wanted to slam it down and break it, but still somehow cry and shout and tell him off... but I didn't.

I muddled through the morning dealing with emails about the survey and then one incoming one from Rat Poo Films, which turned out to be from Des. I decided I wouldn't answer it for a couple of days, make him sweat, until I saw he'd copied it to Henry. Damn! Now I'd have to respond.
Chuck was checking his watch when the stranger approached him. “Those were a couple of nice looking ladies you had.”
“Thanks.” Chuck said while not looking at the guy but in the direction of the ladies room door. ‘Come on Hiromi, we got to get going or we’ll miss the boat.’
“If you’re done with them, would you mind giving me their number?”
Chuck immediately turned around. “What did you just say?”
Chapter Seven
Synopsis- Hiromi sees a fortune teller and goes to a casino in Macau, Gabrielle has a chat with Dr. Wagner and meets a close friend, Midori and Stewart Slater get very bad news, plus Operation Swan Song takes an unexpected turn.
Katie and I walked over and got in her car. It was 33 degrees outside according to the computer in mom’s car. We sat in her car talking while it was warming up. I glanced at the clock, it read 7:15
“Do you like your outfit?” She asked.
“Yes. Does my mom really have the keys?” Katie jingled her keys, smiling.
“I have the keys to the locks at our wrists, and you’ll figure it out when we get to Wal-mart.” She said putting the car in reverse and pulling out into the street. Ten minutes later we were in the parking lot of Wal-mart. We got out and walked into the store. I grinned at her as we walked through the store. We got a lot of funny looks, I think because of our different jewelry. Our first stop was the woman’s department. I was browsing a selection of ankle length skirts, while Katie was looking at some rather short mini skirts. She brought four over and showed them to me. All but one was plaid, the first being red and black, the second green, black and white. The third I like because it was royal blue and white plaid, which was our school colors. The fourth I liked the best because it was a simple black miniskirt. I took the royal blue and white plaid skirt and placed it in the cart. I held the black one up to my body before placing it into the cart, it was an inch shorter than the skirt I had on. I picked up some button front shirts in black, white, royal blue, light pink, light blue, and a cream color. I was still wondering about the wrist chains. Katie and I walked back to the shoe department, where Katie picked up another pair of boots and a pair of tennis shoes. From there we went over to the accessories department, pausing to look at purses, I grabbed a black one, because it matched everything, and I was going to need it to put money, and makeup in. We made our way over to the hosiery department, where I picked up a pair of white fishnet tights and a pair of royal blue tights. I was thinking put on the royal blue tights, then the white fishnets over those. That would look neat with the royal blue and white plaid skirt. I decided to wear my new outfit to school on Monday. I explained to Katie.
I awoke with a yawn. I was comfortable and warmly covered. John must have taken good care of me last night.
LAST NIGHT!
Oh God! I remember not being able to breathe or move. I opened my eyes and was startled to see that I was in a hospital room. Why was I here? I looked for the call button that should be around the bed someplace.
Eve, born Evan Nichols, lived a lie for 28 years before finally deciding to do something about it. She knew becoming a woman would cause pain and emotional distress, but you can't prepare for everything...especially not romance.
