Part 3 of 8

by Tiffany Shar

Synopsis

In many ways Tiffany is the newest girl in her small community near Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the whirlwind of the last few weeks she has emerged from the shell of a scared and confused little boy named Brandon. Ever since Tiffany's parents confirmed with her their suspicions of her deepest wants and needs, they've supported her completely. With solid support from her family, her best friend and family and surprisingly, her growing circle of other friends it seems she might have a chance for a successful future.

'Can all this last?' is one of the biggest questions on her mind now. 'Will everyone stick with me when things get tough?' She's had an amazingly easy last couple weeks and she knows it won't last. What will happen when she returns to school? And most importantly, what will her psychiatrist decide? Will her doctor force her to return to living the lie as Brandon? These fears and more whirl in her mind as she looks to an uncertain future.

Daring to Hope is the continuing story of a bright, talented, and beautiful girl, who dares to hope for a future that is one based on happy dreams.

The Butterfly Effect | Part 2 - Confusions

butterfly_effect.jpg    "You're taking an age, girl. How come I'm not the slow coach today?" she responded.
"Sorry was day dreaming," I said, as I quickly unzipped my skirt and pulled up my own tracksuit trousers.
"I wonder who," said Sophie with a big grin on her face.
I poked my tongue at her and then concentrated on undoing my blouse...

Feature Presentation

Edeyn It has been very nearly a year since any kind of new dohickey was added to the Shortcuts! box. It's time to add something new. But, in keeping with getting feedback FIRST... I'd like to know what kind of suggestions folks have. Now, I want folks to PM me full details of their ideas for something fun or useful (or both!) to add, and I'll give it a few days before I post up the suggestions... not for voting, but for discussion! Talk about the pros and cons of each idea. The reason I want them PM'd to me is so that the ideas are known only to me and the rest of the staff. Comments are disabled, but that Write to author link should work fine.

Introduction

Hi
I'm Mary Beth Sanford

This is my first blog entry...

This picture, taken some number of years ago, was always my favorite. The photographer was from San Francisco, developing a pictorial study of transgendered people (never saw the end results - if any). It was at a monthly meeting in Walnut Creek (California) and I was then, a member of the "Lost Girls". The lost girls were a loosely organized group that often went out to "mainstream" places first (mostly dinner) then off to one of several alternate life style or meetings places around the Bay Area. Anyway, if I had to show a picture that I felt represented me - this is the one.

Did I tell you how much I love this place! I do!

Hugs
Mary Beth

Feminizer Disease Takes My Body Over - Chapter 4

She went on to explain the course that the doctors have recommended is a three-day program including the mind adjustment segment. She went on to say I must live as a woman for one full week before taking the course, explaining dressing and living the life of a woman is important for my mind control.

Most probably won't want to but... pics of BC readers/authors?

I know that, for a lot of us, our appearance is something that we can be a bit touchy about. For some of us, it can be an issue of not passing well, or even at all. Regardless, I thought it might be interesting to see who here was brave enough to stand up and let their face be seen. There are a few of us who have been so daring as to use image sigs or images of ourselves in posts before. For me, this will probably be the only time you see me post an image anywhere on this site. I just thought that, since the age question is out and running, why not a pics thread?

New New Server and Possible Site Outages

The server is up and is running a version of BC and it looks pretty good for moving the site tonight or tomorrow. The problem will again be propagating the domain so that bigclosetr.us/topshelf will take you to the right site. So, I'm going to set up a temporary URL that will take you to the new site if you can't reach it through the usual address.

Stay tuned for more info.

Hugs,
Erin

Blog disappearence?

Hey, I was just curious about something. When someone submits, perhaps, a post as a forum thread or blog or something... Does it have to go through a process of "approval" or something? Is there any reason why someone's blog that may have been posted was not actually... posted? What would be the cause for when I actually try to visit the link of it, only a "Page not found" message comes up, hmm?

Coulda Been... Week's End

As usual, death around me gets me to thinking about how things Coulda Been... so, I've got two more for you all to look at now. You probably were expecting one, but I found myself with two in me. Sorry about that. Up side is that these two aren't as anchored in real-world kernels as the others. More like things that Coulda eventually happened and just never did. Well, here's one not-so-raw, first...

Fred

Edeyn Was not just being named for my uncle, but sharing a BIRTHDAY with him. He attempted to 'rescue' me from my grandmother -- anyone remember those disc players from the early 80s? The ones that tried to vie with Betamax and VHS for the market... about the size of a laserdisc, but was in a sort of cassette casing, 2-sided? He had one of those players. I remember him coming over and informing my grandmother that I was going with him to his house for a while (when my mother was away)...

The Road to Haifa
Chapter 24 — Slings and Arrows

by Alyssa Plant

Sarah regained consciousness sometime in the early morning. She had been dreaming about things… horrible things… Her sister, her own torture, the laughing face of her tormentor; the unnerving quiet and darkness was reassuring to her tired mind.

A Gaby Fan-Fiction

Synopsis:What exactly happened to the students and faculty of Augusta High School, Bigg's Manufacturing and Erin's Cyclery after Drew and his friends went back home to Warsop at the end of the Cultural Exchange Program? This story will attempt to answer those questions.

Dear Diary

Edeyn There will not be an entry tonight. And possibly not tomorrow. My uncle died this afternoon. The only one of my mother's brothers to be worth anything. I was originally named for him. He was the first of her brothers to accept me as a girl. He was the most gentle and caring man I've ever known. His standard being impossible to live up to is probably part of why I am a lesbian.

That is all.

A Stern Ribbing

I injured myself last Friday. Nothing of the usual home injuries. Didn't take a fall, step on a pin, hit my thumb with a hammer, pick up the business end of a soldering iron, or bang my head on an open cupboard door. No, I executed a sudden maneuver. I was outdoors, testing a type of lightweight fabric used for roofing, when my sample started blowing away from me. I lunged for it after chasing it across the roof a few feet, to catch it. Something happened in my ribcage and knocked the wind out of me temporarily.

"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call... THE TWILIGHT ZONE."
