The Middle, Chapters 4, 5, 6, and 7

Alfred Gontarski had the misfortune to have been born into the wrong body. That’s all been fixed now; however if you are not familiar with how things were corrected, you should go back and read “An Incremental Journey” before you read this little adventure. Al, now Cynthia Lewis, has a problem. It seems that one of her nine-year old classmates has the same problem she had. He was born into the wrong body. Cynthia was able to work a deal with the SRU Wizard to get Bobby Schmedlap a gift certificate for his birthday that would allow him to become the girl Cynthia knows he wants/has to be. The problem is this. Bobby has not redeemed his gift certificate and now the powers behind SRU want to know when he’s going to do it because it’s the end of the fiscal year and unclaimed spells cause all sorts of accounting problems. It’s going to be Cynthia’s job to find out what’s going on and why Bobby Schmedlap hasn’t gone for the change he so desperately wants.

Cindy and Maddy begin to realize some more of their powers. They are not huge or particularly strong; however they are important. They are approached by an internet predator and his fate is what one might expect when encountering The Wizard. The Wizard once again shows a bit of his compassionate side. Cindy talks to Bobby at school and is able to tell him about things that Bobby never told anyone before. We are also finding out a little bit about why Bobby hasn’t cashed in the gift certificate. Cindy and Maddy come to the realization that Cindy is going to have to tell her parents the truth about her. That will not be easy.

Samantha's Story part 7

Just how gullible were most people? I had been coming to class as a boy nearly my entire freshman year, but when I decided to start wearing female clothes, and apparently everyone thought I was a grunge-babe who decided to start dressing nicer.

Discouraged

I'm in some pain from arthritis in my wrist. I've been on my meds for about two weeks and while they're helping, I've seen an increase in tremors in my hands during my dose time. I am having a difficult time concentrating while driving as well. I know you've all been so kind to me over these past few weeks, and have been encouraging to the newbie, patient beyond measure and supportive in helping me learn how things works and how to be a better writer.

Changes~35

Saturday morning arrived and I awoke to the sound of screeching seagulls and a lovely warm body up close and personal behind me. The fact that neither my partner nor I were wearing anything meant that I could feel her lovely, warm, soft and pert breasts, pressed against my naked back...

“Why does she have to tell him at all?” Samantha asked.

“Some guys go psycho if they find out that they have been sleeping with a girl that was once a guy. Beatings and even murders have taken place. She has to be careful.”

This is neat!

Thank you everyone for reading the sequel to "An Incremental Journey". I notice that a large number of readers have gone back to that story as well as reading the sequel, "Cynthia and the Reluctant Girlfriend". I know that is an assumption. Someone has been even so kind as to vote on the predecessor. Thank you so much. Now, if we can just get some comments on "Cynthia and the Reluctant Girlfriend". They are most helpful for future stories.

Ranma is uncomfortable over what had occurred at the start of the day. She can't seem to concentrate on anything until she comes to a resolution. What does Akane think?

1000 reads - After 3 years 37 weeks

It doesn't really matter to anyone but me, I know, but the first story I ever posted to BCTS, Two Roads finally hit 1000 reads/hits today. The story was posted on December 4, 2005, back before voting was even a concept.

In part this milestone was the result of a surge of hits that came about yesterday from Joannebarbarella's blog about old stories, which led to a record breaking 22 hits in the past two days. Thanks Joanne!

So, since I can't set off some fireworks here in my homestate, consider this blog to be my celebration of that milestone.

Quick update

I know I keep saying I'll get to KittyHawk and POWYHL, and I will! Really! Unfortunately I've had some muse issues lately, and I'm looking at three busy weekends in a row. This upcoming weekend I'll be at Sac-Anime, an Anime/Manga convention in Sacramento. Then I have a doctors appointment the next day to find out why a couple of body parts I'm looking forward to being rid of have been hurting lately. Then the bowling league I'm in with my brother, sister, and father starts back up again the next day.

I'll take Manhattan

I spent last night at the Epilepsy Center of the New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. After a delightful hour of getting hooked up to electrodes and such, I enjoyed and hour and a half of uninterrupted writing, and I was glad for it; I can't wait to write when I'm not writing, and I can't wait to finish when I am. The most curious thing; the technician was a nice young man who actually had the same kind of face as Ben Kelly, my counselor character and alter-ego of Katie Kelly.

Something Feels Strange…

Feel Strange

A minute or so after I ring the bell the door opens to reveal Dr. Lang–and he doesn’t look very happy once he figures out who I am.

“You’re that girl from the office,” he observes. “One of Susan Harrison’s lackeys. What are you doing here?”

It’s not quite the reception I was expecting–so much for being subtle. I must look pretty stupid standing here with a shocked expression on my face. I mean, what’s a girl supposed to say?

The Half-Lilin: Chapter 14

Adela looked straight at me and her eyes glowed yellow again. If I was not in pain, I would've made a joke about how much it resembled a pair of traffic lights. It took less than a minute for the stump on my right shoulder to collect enough mass eventually forming a solid arm. Flexing my arms and fingers, I was pleased that it worked just as well as before.
