“Exactly where have you heard that name before?” I said as I wiped the sleep from my eyes.
“Savernake Forest,” exclaimed Jemma.
The trouble with my partner was that when she was overly tired or woken up in the middle of the night, sometimes she spoke total gibberish. I’d learned to handle it but many people we had to work with couldn’t handle her without losing their patience pretty quickly.
My brain was slowly starting to work and as I tried to remember the last time I’d or rather we’d been to Savernake Forest. This is an area of ancient woodland to the South East of the town of Marlborough in Wiltshire. Then it came to me.
“Oh, you must mean Farthings home?”
“Yes, that’s it. He left his home very much in a hurry, didn’t he?” reasoned Jemma.
“Yeah, we stopped him as he left in his Porsche. If I recall you lit him up with your target light and his face turned to ash. But what else did you remember?”

In other words, the quicker you can get from one place to another. The question is what do you, do when your family has spent the last two generations in search of ways to accomplish this goal faster and faster. Would do you do when the family business is the search for more Speed. For Robert ‘Robby’ McGuire the answer is easy. You grab your sister and strap on a pair of Formula One racecars then go for broke.

Christina had come home after dealing with the two men and put the groceries away. Instead of waiting for Tizzy or Cheshire to come home and cook. She decided to go ahead fix dinner for everyone.
She fixed everyone a dish Nora taught her. She figured Cheshire might like it. It was a Spanish dish and it was one of her favorites.
“Mmm, whatever is cooking smells nice.” Tizzy loved the smell floating in the air.

Just before reaching the shore, Fiach leapt off her horse and charged into the mounted imperial guard. Horses squealed and reared, warriors yelled and fell. Fiach slipped between the wildly milling horses while striking the riders. Chaos ruled as men died before they could see who they were fighting. Suddenly Yazdegerd II yelled as his horse reared. The saddle with the emperor slipped off the horse since the straps had been sliced.
