Chapter 5
Two different worlds, that’s what Charlie lived in.
He wasn’t two different people. Charlie and Claire — they were one and the same inside.
The two worlds? One was the world of Windham Manor. It was the stately world that Claire was spreading her wings in. It was the world of endless possibilities.
Tricia’s father smiled, understanding at Erika’s mother. “Believe me, when I first found out that my son wanted to be a girl, I was anything but calm."
Tomatsu Ichikawa stopped looking at the glass in front of him and studied Hiromi Sato instead. He was fifty years old give or take a few years, and had a pockmarked face. A lit cigarette dangled from the man’s lips.
“Sato-san, how do you like my club?”
“It’s a club.”
Tomatsu grinned. “You would fit in well here.”
“I’m here to talk business.”
“So am I, Sato-san. If my bosses knew you were here....”
Chapter Nine
Synopsis– Agent Chrysanthemum’s body is located and Gabrielle Tanaka makes contact with Hiromi Sato.
“But Mom, Do I have to wear Sarah’s clothes until they find my suitcase?”
“Yes, and I know she packed two swimsuits, so you still get to go swimming. Now go start your bath, while your sister and I find something for you to wear to bed.” I went in the bathroom and started to run my water.
Mom froze. "Marcie Auburn?" she repeated cautiously. "Is there something you want to tell me, Marcie? You're not planning on eloping, are you? You're too young to get married... in fact, even if you were old enough, I don't think you could get married."
"Captain of the first fifteen - the most civilised of the muddied oafs. He's a serious athlete - trains on Mars bars and bananas. You must have seen him, Susie."
"Oh that big gorilla," she laughed and poked me in the ribs. "Hey, Jeffrey, you know what they say: if you look like a monkey don't walk around carrying a banana."
Meeting a girl in a book store, leads me to a different life and more.

Amanda thought about the previous day’s events as she sat in the waiting room at the therapist's office. Nicholas's appearance at the ballet school caught quite a few people off guard. Madame Ruth mistook him for a girl. Some of the girls in class were really surprised, but the parents were even more shocked.

“But why can’t I wear Sarah’s jeans?”
“I would imagine that Sarah would be wearing her jeans, and making you wear the skirts...”
The Leader narrowed its pupils, just a bit... the equivalent of a slight smile for its species. The most important of the group were already supporting the plan. The others would go along, eventually. It sat back and let them plot and scheme, only occasionally asking a question or making a suggestion. Yes, this would work well...
