At Stonewall National Monument, the National Park Service removed the transgender and Progress Pride flags, instructing that only the traditional rainbow flag would be displayed. This action has been met with resistance, with New Yorkers bringing their own transgender flags to the site and draping them on statues and other areas. The Park Service also removed references to transgender and queer people from the monument's website

Trump Took Stonewall’s Trans Flags. New Yorkers Brought Their Own
This comes after the Trump Administration sought to expel any reference to transgender people from all federal resources, as per his January executive orders. As Erin in the Morning previously reported, one glaring example included an informational blurb about Sylvia Rivera, a trans woman of color and street queen who was among the founding mothers of the movement.

Transgender was a part of Stonewall Rebellion. Trump is trying to erase transgender from history, past and present. He'll never do it as new ones are born a part of human diversity.

They Can Try
And they may suppress, but the wheel will turn again and we will rise. Hitler could not kill all the Jews, gypsies, queers, homosexuals. Trump and his toadies will not be able to eliminate us, but the next few years will be difficult.
Post Drumpf
will also be difficult. Those who became members of the MAGA cult will want to vent their anger at (hopefully) the GQP/MAGA being defeated in 2026 and 2028 (provided 'Daddy' does not cancel the elections due to a phony war etc). The LGBT and especially the T part will become targets of their anger.
If extreme rightwingers can propose sending 43 million to places like Aligator Alcatraz, then what's a few hundred thousand from the LGBT world? There are 43 million people of hispanic origin in the USA.
Keep your heads down people.

Trump is not a bug but a feature
Trump is not erasing transgender people from history. It is the Republican Party that is doing so. He is not a bug but a feature of what the party was and is. The party fought hard against civil rights, women's rights, gay rights, and trans rights.
People need to quit trying to blame this only on Trump and see it as the fruition of what Republicans and Conservatives have been running on for the last 50 years. People need to correct people when they do try to act like Trump’s policies are some sort of abnormality from what the Republican Party wanted and what the Republican voters voted for. The voters might not have wanted it but that is what the party have been running on so they should not be shocked when they implement the restrictions of rights.
The Enabler
Republicans used to be decent people. Eisenhower was someone to be admired. You/we may not have agreed with them but they were genuine conservatives. Even up to George Bush and George W. the Republicans did not try to eliminate non-straight or non-white minorities. They rode along with the status quo and abided by the Constitution.
Trump has made hatred mainstream and implementation of abhorrent policies acceptable. The Republican party has abandoned decency and kowtows to a would-be king, a megalomaniac sociopathic outlaw. They have abandoned democracy for the sake of power. That is the difference. Obliterating transgender is only the first step. Gays will come next. Immigrants are already under the gun (when they come from south of your border).
Revisionist history….
Has anyone besides me noticed the parallels between trump/maga and the Soviet Union use of revising history to support ideology?

It is happening
Wherever they can get away with it, in a recent newspaper article in the i, Ian Dunt referred to it as cultural genocide and named the man who first coined the phrase. His argument was very good and he made the point that this is happening wherever they can get away with it. Even in the UK and under a Labour government, they are doing it or not doing anything about the Supreme Court's ruling. I have no belief in our courts or government both have which let transgender people down.
