I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.

I kind of rushed right into this new series. I truly hope that you like this!
Adrenaline surged...daring every sensory organ in my body to absorb the tiniest nuances of my first day out in public dressed as a woman. I touched the velvety skin on my wife's arm. "I'm so lucky!"
"Lucky?" Nicole shook her head in obvious bewilderment. "You've always wanted to be a woman," she had accurately said nearly eight months ago.
This is a new occasional series that takes its basis and some of its storyline from the cancelled Tokyopop Manga, Yubisaki Milk Tea by Tomochika Miyano. It’s a great series and well worth looking out, it’s a mystery why they cancelled it. For my version I’ve changed the setting from Japan to England and of course the names, then I’ve added some new characters and situations to produce Jamie and the Peach. The original series was cancelled before completion but I intend to take my version somewhat further!
Stop the Press!!! Volume 8 of Kubasaki has just been announced!

Feminizer Disease Takes My Body Over
Chapter 22
By Terry Hansay
With his friends placed into the sleep of the ages, by Fintan Mac Gabhann, a minion of the mischievous Goban Saor, Gwri is forced to serve them in their plot to strike back at Brarn the Reaver. Set before him was six tasks to gather six items. Completed five of his six tasks, Gwri finally hears the tale of Fin and learns what faces him in his final task.
Barb watched the bus full of tourists pull in to the parking lot of the library and took a moment to check her outfit. Blue jacket, white blouse, blue skirt, cute blue-and-white hat. It had been suggested as a joke, but now she decided to just to go for it, why not?
Blame Angela Rasch for the inspiration behind this! In response to my earlier blog post about the creators of a snow sculpture being persuaded by the local plod to cover up her 'assets', she quipped: "What if there's some magic in that old silk bra they found? What if, when they put it on her, she began to dance around?"
So of course I couldn't resist the temptation to play with that song... and the few small changes had the side-effect of loading it with innuendo, thus making it appear far less innocent than the original!
This time, I get a crash course in equine maintenance, news crews descend when word gets out and Mum and Dad are stuck with a broken-down car–which I had nothing to do with…

Horses for Courses
My thanks to the most beaudacious Gabi for staying up late yesterday to edit this–even though it didn’t matter because she was able to slob out all day today.
Some while ago there was a news story about a marriage divorce happening, the cause adultery, but the man had never meet his mistress. They meet online in a comunnity called Second Life. The wife was given her divorce.
"What was I doing?" I looked at myself in the bedroom mirror. "What have I done?" It was as if I had woke up from a dream where I had no control over what had occurred in the dream and then realized it was not a dream at all. I am a man or at least I was at one point. I sat down on the bed and began to go back through my life to try to find something to hold on to before I went out of my mind.

Immediately after Missii and Kayla have gone through the link to Scearnvale, Andrew closes the link and thinks back to the armor he purchased from Master Carlaine's. ‘The sisters should do all right. If they purchase everything at once to save money then they will come back and ask for perhaps three hundred or so more.' Nodding his head, he turns his concentration toward the children and the lessons to be achieved today.
So, here we are moving to a small town in Ohio. None of us seemed to want to make the move. Having grown up in the South, Ohio sounded like a foreign country. The long trip up there did give me a lot of time to think. I would not know anybody but, at the same time, nobody would know me either. That meant that no one would know about my girlish past. This would be the perfect time to prove to my dad that I could be the boy he wanted. I resolved to try my best to ‘boy up’.
When I woke up, it was already after twelve. I got up, and got out my clothes for the day. I went in and started my bath. Cindy was over, and when she heard me in the bathroom, she came out of Bobbie's room and talked to me.
"Hey sleepyhead, it's about time you woke up. How do you feel?"
"I feel okay. I was just drained yesterday for some reason. How is Angie doing?"
"Angie's fine. She's downstairs with mom having a popsicle."
Well, finally! Expect to see these released on about a weekly schedule. Ish.
I had intended to do six parts in this story arc, and I'm already up to seven and
only about two-thirds through... This short part is a sort of memory-refresher,
so you don't have to go back and read all the previous parts. Not that I'm stopping you...

"Don't get carried away, Susie, they're not so rare. A person can expect to experience an exceptional event of special significance every thirty-five days."
"Is this one of your scientific facts or did you read it on a sauce bottle?"
"It's Littlewood's law - he's what you would describe as an impeccable authority."
"I'll take your word for that, but it still doesn't come anywhere near explaining our run of luck, Jeffrey."
She knew how to treat him - exactly as he deserved...
