I am sure that you are aware that we live in a complicated world, and such a world demands specialization. People can buy their kicks anywhere they choose. There are so many outlets that might be called the erotic equivalent of McDonalds, serving the insipid fare enjoyed by ordinary folk. Go there, if you wish.
In this chapter, Emily grapples with overwhelming grief. Struggling with guilt and memories, she begins to navigate the weight of loss with the gentle support of the Blake family. Small moments of kindness, like Lily's cheerful drawings and Mrs. Blake's quiet presence, offer Emily a fragile sense of comfort and hope as she starts to confront her pain.
When we left Billie and Kateri, they were the victims of a home invasion. The
story picks up from there.
I am going to put this particular story on hold for a little while, but Billie and Kateri
will be back fairly soon. Thank you, again for your support! ~Clara.
Dave turned up on time on Tuesday morning and I loaded almost all of my kit into his estate car. Geoff had insisted I keep custody of our instrument, so in it went, and Dave pointedly hinted he could take the bike (and me) as well.
Sometimes, even a superhero needs to take a break. And what better place for Alena Scott than a comic book convention? But just when you thought it was safe, a new enemy appears! Can The Green Lantern save the day? Read on, True Believer!
A small warm thing had settled in my tent again and I kicked it awake to take its turn at the morning brew duties. I needed to dispose of some second hand beer. It was odd how my attitude to alcohol had changed; I always loved a good ale, but I had been using things like wine boxes as off-switches for my dreams.
All I had ever wanted was to become a woman; surgery and drugs had given me the form, but there was one thing I wanted so desperately, I'd do anything to get it. And then I met Dr. Deidre Wentworth...
The Curious Case of the Missing Witness
by SmallBurnyThing
Some days you get a lucky, a kind word gets you a password, which lets you copy a database, which fetches a rather large amount on the black market. Other days, well, someone else goes for the same mark as you and everything goes wrong. The emergence of meta-humans in the world was never going to affect that too much. Oh, and I'm a naíve fool, did I mention that?
You see, my life was one of the best I could have, coding by daylight and occasionally skimming large sums money off of those who could afford it. But sometimes; sometimes things don't go quite according to plan.
This is one of those times.
A Comic Retcon tale that gets a little dark towards the end.
I am going to gloss over large parts of the weekend, dear reader, because a succession of descriptions of me shaking my bits to some band you’ve never heard of will leave you, well, leaving me.
Kira - Chapter XVI - Mother/daughter shopping trip.
PART I - Kira talks to her mother.
Mother showed us that she hadn't forgotten how to tell stories either. She told us of an exceptional child who had a heart of gold and only wanted what was best for others. Then she looked at me, gave me a hug, and told me how wonderful and precious I really was.
"You know what I am thinking? That maybe you and I, Kira, should go shopping, and let me buy my daughter a nice dress and some shoes. Would you like that, Kira?"

Once upon a time, I was a young man in love, with a bright future. My life was stolen from me, but my love gave me the strength to endure. But then I found out what it means to truly have nothing left to lose..
Cassandra has at last learned who transformed her: mythical demons called lilim; the incubi and succubi of horror stories. Luna now promises to change her back to Cody if Cassandra helps save Jayden. Cassandra doesn't know if she can trust Luna, but since she figures her 'condition' can't get any worse, she has nothing to lose. She couldn't be more mistaken.
I gave the man sitting on the other side of the table a glare that plainly said my patience was close to being gone and my temper was frayed to the point of being dangerous.
I am sorry to post two chapters in such quick succession, but my muse has me gripped firmly by the soft parts and is insisting I move the story on. Some questions are answered here, many more are raised.

He was looking embarrassed. I simply stood and wondered if this was how one usually felt when one’s world ended. He looked at Geoff, and I could see cogs turning.
“Hi, I’m Dave Williams. I work with this young lady at Gatwick, and you are?”
Tho' things might be frightful
Right here it's delightful
We're cozy and out of the way
And as far as I'm concerned, it's a lovely day
We're posting our stories
And there aren't any worries
So I can honestly say
That as far as I'm concerned, it's a lovely day
And everything's okay
I could only sit back in my chair and groan while people cleaned up the mess I’d made on the carpet. The fact that the mess was the blood and brains of my former Chief of Staff was something I was doing my best not to dwell on at the moment.
It had been one month to the day since I had performed for Scott and he had offered me the chance to record a demo CD. In one month I went from being a nobody to having a number one hit and performing on a syndicated program like 'The Tonight Show'. It still amazed me at how popular I had become so quickly.
If it weren’t for one nagging problem, I’d say it was a perfect afternoon.
The nagging problem? It’s Andy. I’ve called at every opportunity and left a
dozen messages but he’s not called me back. I’ve also sent several emails from
my smart phone–he hasn’t responded to those either.
Where is that boy?
Chapter 50:
Family, Work, and an Unhappy Boyfriend
Patrick Reece never went to college but ended up paying the bills by working in a diner. But he had a plan to better himself by writing original songs.
Tim is patiently waiting for his high school days to draw to a close. He can’t wait to go away to college, far from a dad who is disappointed with his son’s tiny frame. Tim is also unhappy with his body, for a much more shielded reason. Music provides the catalyst for lasting change.
