Teela and Emily arrive at the address they were given. They looked at the building in front of them and couldn’t believe that it used to be some sort of warehouse.
“Are you sure you have the right address, Teela?” Emily looks at her friend.
“I’m sure. This is the address Jester gave me. She also gave me the entrance code as well.” Teela walked into the small foyer and noticed there was a metal keypad with black numbers and letters.
Teenage identical twins Allie and Cissy started swapping places just for the fun of it when they were small. It worked better than you might think, considering that Allie is a boy named Alan. Cissy loves sports and Alan loves fashion and the still enjoy playing games and fooling the grown-ups.
But things have turned serious and it looks like someone is setting up a trap....
A silly idea came to me (and turned into this nonsense within an hour) - what if a blackmailer hadn't done his research and what he assumes is the target's devastating secret isn't (exactly)(much of) a secret...

CHAPTER 47
That left us caught between two stools: whether to celebrate the arrival of Enid, or to explore Alice’s problems further. She steered us neatly away from that one with a seemingly flippant comment about water under the bridge, and we got on to planning the disposal of a sizeable proportion of her worldly goods.
Mike Carter is the man about campus who lives life in the fast lane. He's quarterback of his college football team, well liked by the student population and quite a ladies man. But due to gambling, Mike has a money problem. To make ends meet he takes a job at as a security guard at a museum and things go down hill from there all thanks to a gold orb.
CHAPTER 46
I took Alice to the first meeting, at her local bank branch, where we produced the deed poll and letter from her quack, and it all went rather smoothly. That was why I was so surprised when, as we exited, I realised she was trembling.
After checking myself over in the bathroom mirror I released the grimace I held. Still too dainty, but nothing I had tried over the last few years made any difference. Working out, running, protein shakes, you name it, not even a hint of masculinity arose from the effort. I was half tempted to try anabolic steroids save two reasons: I had no idea what would happen to my body, considering my condition, and the more important reason, I couldn't afford to buy them. That's why I went out and found a job.
It hurt, dreaming had hurt. It had been awhile since I had dreamt about my dad. It had been as much as about him as it had been about my childhood. Yeah I know I’m not really that old.
But I really feel old.
I know, that I shouldn’t be but.
There’s just got to be a point where you just can’t take it anymore.
An almost been actor, a fly-by-night production company, an experimental make-up, an electical storm, and the metagene. Stir thoroughly and what do you get?

CHAPTER 45
Alice was pensive as she drove us home. Bev had agreed to call at the office the next day to have the deed poll sworn, and we would make the round of the banks as necessary. Margaret already had things in hand with head office, so it was now a matter of making a list for Alice to work through, starting with her driving licence.
Ingrid rushed into the kitchen. She dropped her keys on the counter as she walked, not breaking stride as she headed for the stairs. She bounced up the steps and into the suite, slinging her purse onto the bed as she headed for the bathroom. After a quick stop at the toilet, she cranked up some music and turned on the shower.

The Love There That's Sleeping by Andrea Lena DiMaggio

Jimmy Elia finds out that empathy is much more than feeling sorry for someone, as Billy Pellegrino teaches him how to feel sorry with someone.

“Oh, I talk to Karen now and again. She has a room here and stays quite often. As a matter of fact, she is coming tomorrow. I’m sure she would love to see you.”
I was shocked beyond belief. She looked at me funny and then something clicked.
“That’s right, she has been away a long time. I bet you thought she had forgotten about you.”
The Waldron's spare room isn't really much more than a cupboard with a bed in it but it was at least a bed and I was missing mums inquisition, which is always a bonus. Mind you, I told Mrs. Waldron that I spoke to mum but in reality there wasn't a reply when I called - I did leave a message tho'.
I didn't sleep well; maybe it was the cider or the passive hash smoking, whatever it was I felt really crap when I woke up. And we've got school and I haven't got my uniform or books, sugar!
[An old story penned around 2004 but if you read my comment at the end, it is strangely relevant: Samantha]
The day I had been fearing for some time finally came. Rumours were flying everywhere and finally, just before knocking off time we got word to assemble in the works canteen for an important announcement.
There was an expectant hubbub of noise even though we all know what was going to happen.
The works director came in and turned to face us.
“Ladies and Gentlemen. It gives me no pleasure to have to tell you this but effective today, this factory will close its gates forever”
There was a stunned silence. We knew it was going to be bad but not that bad.
Cathy always tries to mind her business, unfortunately business doesn't give her the same respect. In fact it goes out of its way to send a fresh helping of drama her way in the shape of a three-year-old force of nature named Jemima.
Can she really help the girl, save the dormice and look after her nearest and dearest all at the same time?
