I let her walk in before me, and not so I could get another view of her rear end. This was all going too quick, or so one of the Greek chorus of voices in my head was proclaiming, while another was insisting that going at any speed at all, over any period whatsoever, would remain too quick. Did I not love my wife? How could I even think of heading down that path?

idea: Write a story concerning the first meeting between an openly TG individual and a friend or relative they have not seen in a long time, focusing on the difficulties of reestablishing relationships after a long break, with the addition of overcoming any shock caused by the one character's gender expression.

I don’t really know where to start this, I guess the beginning is as good a place as any. My twin sister and I were born at 11:11:11 am on 11/11/11, or at least that is what our mother says. I doubt we were both actually born at that time, but she won’t fess up and say which one of us is older. My vote is I am, since I am so much more mature than sis, if it wasn’t for her my life wouldn’t be so messed up right now. I wish I could just be myself, but instead I have to be like her. In classes, I’m made fun of because of it.

Somehow the woman at the door noticed, and said “Wow, what a wonderful group of costumes we have here, but I think your friend Sleeping Beauty there seems to have gone silent.”

Everyone turned to me at that point, and  my body took it upon it’s self to betray me and blush violently. Once that was taken care of, I smiled politely and said “Trick or Treat?” and even added a bit of a curtsy
