One of the drawbacks to writing a novel is that I don't get the instant satisfaction of getting feedback, nor do I know if I am spot on with what I am trying to accomplish. It is a lonely world, filled with imaginary characters doing what I tell them to do, but they can't tell me if I'm doing a good job or not.

I know it isn't Tuesday so why is Transitioning Home on your screen? Well, Tuesday I have Dr.'s appointments and will be running around almost all day and I figured rather than try to deal with it early on a day when I am going to ache after my pain procedure or late when I am tired, I figured I would just post it early. I hope it doesn't freak people out too badly. There really is method to the madness. The other chapters should be just fine.

I think I've posted a blog asking this same question in the past, but I can't remember and I can't find it, so I'll just go ahead and do it again.

How many people here prefer writing their stories by hand before taking them to the screen?

Hi, I'm wring a story based on James Cameron's Avatar and I'm looking for someone to edit the story and maybe suggest ways to make it better.

Just wondering what happened to the stories by Topsy, I can't seem to find them anywhere on BC and I really enjoyed them.

A week ago Monday we equaled the number of stories and chapters that FictionMania has archived and by Thursday we had definitely passed their mark, currently we have about 40 more stories than they are showing, though both sites have seen new stories posted in the past week.

In my new book I have a scene where a bunch of friends are having lunch and holding a conversation. The issue I am having is how to make the conversation flow without ending each line with A said B said A replied C added to the conversation etc.

Could anyone provide a way to make this work where it seems natural or point to an online reference. THANKS

OK, hold onto your hats. If you just do a casual search on the internet, you will find that there are 2, sometimes 3 girls being born for every boy. In Russia, the boys are smaller and less healthy also. This may lead to all sorts of conclusions about T folk. I am seeing a lot of it in Mormon families because they tend to have 4-7 children.

Hi everybody. I don't have a computer right now, and I am using my daughter's. The problem is, I don't see a wordpad or any other writing format I can use to continue my stories. She is using Windows 7. So, to everybody who reads my stories, please be patient until I can get this sorted out.

Sometimes you have to tell modesty to take a hike and I don't mean in a whorish way.

My first anniversary as a member of this site came and went without any fanfare, but the fact I'd reached that milestone with still no stories posted caused me to wonder: is it unusual for someone here to be part of the site for as long as I have, and yet contribute no stories at all?

Not that I'm lacking for ideas--I have almost too many. Observe below, at these plot synopses taken directly from my notes:

Just letting you know that other stories besides Transitioning Home might be spotty this month as I have to focus on my Firefly and Buddhism paper that is going to be published. That needs to be about 5k words and requires me to rewatch the series and Serenity plus read the comics. You people don't know the suffering I must endure for this. But I meditate and work to move past this.

So here is one all you role playing geeks should love. The series "Heroes", a TV series that ran 4 years is too dark for me to watch it all. I'm in about a dozen episodes on Netflix.

Hi chaps and chapesses. It's been a while and I have to admit, I'm really embarrassed for not having accosted you with something for ages, but I just don't seem to be able to concentrate the way I did. Not to harp on about it, but the car accident really did something to me and ever since, I've had the devil's own job writing.

I've managed a couple of blogs and started ... well, I've tried to start many story ideas that have just wound up going round in ever-decreasing edits until I stop, thoroughly disheartened that I can't get anything together.

I figured that a note to catch those who read my work was needed. Yes, I am playing the new game, but I have decided that I needed to do some work on another character, so I have been quickly putting together a quick post of Molly Hallmarks family. It should be ready to be edited later today, when I am done with errands and can finish it. So keep the faith and Tracy shall return soon.

I look around and see what others post in this genre we call transgender fiction and I realize that I do not fit the mold of 90 percent of what is produced. I'm not saying that is a good or a bad thing, but i am definitely not in the majority. I have spent the last few days reading works of other authors and notice a common theme running throughout, namely a fetishy kind of approach to transsexualism. Big Closet is somewhat different from other sites because it has less of this than the norm, but it certainly does have its fair share.

What is a reasonable amount of time to learn a new language?

Last week I posted that "Bending the Bookshelf" (http://bibrary.blogspot.com) would feature an interview of sorts, a "Guest Post", culled from some correspondence back and forth between the editors and myself. It has appeared today, Wednesday the 19th. It's a compilation of some Q&A from my emails and is followed by a brief listing of my current books, with little explanations. Some of them should be familiar to BCTS readers. I only hope that I don't sound like an egotistical goof or pompous windbag–or no more than usual!
