I've been very guilty in the past of posting my own stories but really not reading other peoples. Most of it had to do with time restraints and also this annoying tendency I have to get other people's 'voice' stuck in my head. If I start reading someone, whether mainstream or online, I will tend to start writing in their cadence and using their structure and tone often, so, usually when I am writing I generally don't read anything.

I have learned a little bit of a work around. I have started to read a few authors when I get home from work, then I go to bed, and when I wake up I write my own stories. So far it has seemed to work.

I am slow to make comments, though I have peppered a few here and there because I don't want to come off as being critical. I think some authors have clever ideas for stories and I think others have a certain knack for turning a phrase. My problem now is what to read. Certain things are off my list, like Bike, because there is no way I am going to catch up to date without devoting so much time to the story that I neglect things like bathing or eating (I could probably go without a meal). The other issue I seem to have is that I don't know who finishes stories and who don't. It is easy when you find a stand alone story, but I notice that some stories have been going on for years.

Mostly, what I like to read is kind of human interest stories. I am not really into the fetishy side of things (mostly why I come here and not go to other sites) and am really into psychology. Usually I get turned off by a story when reactions seem too unplausable or it doesn't fit in with general human psyche. A prime example (and I'm not taking this from any ones story) would be if the school jock and bully is cornered and forced to dress like a cheerleader, and though there were no indications of it in the past, he falls into the role of female cheerleader like a fish to water.

So I am asking for a few suggestions. I wish there was a psychological tag that I could sift through, or a search feature. U am also interested in maybe supporting a few authors who publish on Kindle, but outside of Tanya Allan, Karin Bishop, and Nancy cole, I don't know who else is producing things in ebook (I can't get a lot of stories because of finances, but maybe one a month so I could show support).

Also. I may have upset people with my last blog when I mentioned things being fetishy, and I've used the word in this blog as well. For the most part I am not talking about things that are on this site, but as an overall consensus. It would be easier if people separated TG Fiction and TG Erotica, and that comment is basically pointed at Amazon, not here.
