I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
With everyone watching, I stepped to the table, filled a goblet, and downed it in one go.
Ugh. Whatever vintage Horatio had brought out this time, it wasn’t Asmodian. Nor I’d bet of the wines Vance had spoken highly about a long time ago, those crafted by the elves of Nidavellir. I’d forgotten how bitter were most of the offerings in Hell - heck, I’d even have preferred that Chardonnay from the dragon soiree I’d attended with Isaiah.
Dangit. Isaiah.
What was I going to tell my friend? That his greater spirit would eventually decide whether I should be allowed to exist? And if decided against, Azrael would be forced to destroy me.
Would that mean Isaiah would have to try to kill me too?
When Ozzie finally stopped to catch his breath,
Avery summed up the case in a single sentence:
"The problem is that you ordered a French Maid Costume,
and now that you're wearing it, you can't take it off."
"That's right," he said. "You make it sound simple,
but it's a nightmare, I'm telling you!"
Donnie is taken aback when his friend Mitch asks him to accompany him to Hawaii
and act as his girlfriend. Donnie, of course, says 'no,' but Mitch makes him an
offer he can't refuse.
I kind of rushed right into this new series. I truly hope that you like this!

Dave said, “I mind scavenging hedges for bottles as a kid. Most had three old pennies return on them, beer bottles and pop bottles were like that, but we thought we’d made a fortune if we found a cider bottle, because they had six old pennies return price on them.
Zoey tosses and turns as images filter through her dreams warning her of upcoming danger and past dangers. The image of her father being tortured to death in his home office, while she watched from her hiding spot. The thundering sound of the gun going off. She felt the pain her father suffered and then nothing as his life slipped away.
A loud clap of thunder wakes her from her dreams. She sits up in bed and looks around her. It takes her mind a few seconds to register where she was. She looks around the plain-looking room, as she sat in bed while the covers pooled around her.
I returned to the store as quickly as I could but I couldn’t find Melody anywhere in the clothes department. There was no evidence of an abandoned trolley full of clothes so I was left a bit perplexed. Where was she?
I began to walk through the main section of the store. As I did so, I scanned the aisles. There was no sign of Melody anywhere until I caught sight of a trolley half full of clothes in the aisle that had the racks of makeup.
I managed a smile as I saw Melody looking at shampoo.
I woke in a disoriented state, the light, the wind I had gotten used to, absent. I was lying on luxurious carpet, in a room lit by a soft, indirect glow.
Then my world snapped into focus as I remembered that I had made it to London, to the chambers of the Council. Deserted, of course, as they fled to another realm after defeating the Elders and ruining earth.
I looked upon the great library again with awe, when an idea came to me. Why should I hurry? I had all the time in the world, all the time in the universe!
As we approached our table I quickly asked him if he got an up-front fee for his appearance and he said that he did; about a million rupees. I did a quick calculation and realised that he had made a hundred thousand pounds today.
I was now getting out and about a lot more. The locals had all taken to me as the saviour of the legend of Henri and word started to get about that I was some kind of magic stud, being able to get Odette pregnant in her mid-forties. I just smiled and tried to look enigmatic.
Shannon O'Reilly was bullied and everything his older sister wasn't. When his sister Sarah gives him a chance to change things through a single wish things don't go as planned.

“Some might call that justice served,” Ellie pointed out.
A ‘Master of the Universe’ Investment Banker and his university professor wife are a happy and successful couple. Then their Psychologist friend persuades them to participate in an unusual study and things change for everyone.
It started on an ordinary day, the last ordinary day I would have.
I was walking home from work when I heard a scream.
I froze, and couldn’t figure out what to do. Part of me wanted to go help whoever it was who screamed, but the rest of me wanted to ignore it and not get involved.
But before I could follow through on that cowardice, a man came out of an alley - from the direction of the scream.
CHAPTER 70
I had a day off after that chat with Nita, and as Spring was now with us, I made sure the girls were okay before riding down to the little bit of a wetland nature reserve that had been made close to where I had first met Bert.
The migrants were passing through, some of them coming to stay somewhere in Britain, others heading even further, using Cardiff as a refuelling point on the way. I settled down with scope and flask, and as I scanned the reeds and water, I found my thoughts running through Diane’s behaviour. We had talked, to her obvious embarrassment, about the girls, and about them actually BEING girls, and she had confessed to me how steep the learning curve had been for her. I suspected that the only reason she was able to adapt at least a little had been the shared pain.
Fred had many emotions after getting off the phone with Luke. There were many reasons for the father to be happy to get a call from his son. He got to talk with Luke. His son stood up for himself. Then Luke called him at work, instead of waiting until he got home to not inform him of what just occurred. Another reason for the happiness was hearing about Lori's growth as a person. His daughter stood up for and defended her brother.
For a moment, there was silence. I wondered if the question was out of place, that I would lose my only point of contact with the only other person still alive, well, according to her anyway.
After that agonizing moment, Charissa spoke again. "My cell is here, nor am I out of it."
Harry thought he was just making a little joke, but the women in the office weren't laughing.
So they made a little bet and Harry would win if he followed the women's dress code for a month.
How hard could it be?
The formerly co-ed basketball team could clinch a trophy if they had one more star-quality player, now that they've gone all-girl. The league office thinks that 'Harper' is a girl's name. The coach has a marvelous idea. It would require a little roleplaying, but Harper's not convinced. Someone might find out his secret....
