A friendly place to read, write and discuss Transgender Fiction.
Home of 3000+ chapters of Easy as Falling off a Bike by Angharad and many other stories.
I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.

Ask me if I think, there's a God up in the Heaven.
Where did He go in the middle of her shame?
Ask me if I think, there's a God up in the Heavens.
I see no mercy and no one down here's naming names.
Nobody's naming names.
As I lay face down on the treatment table, I was humming to myself softly, listening to some music on my iPod while the ultra-sound probe was being worked over the back of my injured thigh; the music helped take my mind off the pain a bit.
"Your attitude concerns me, Emily. I've tried to be patient with you, but all I get in return is insubordination." Heather began to speak her piece. "You continually undermine me in front of my pack, and I'm not going to stand for it much longer."
"Your pack?" Emily interrupted. "That's a laugh. All you've done is run around recruiting new sisters, and I'm always there to clean up your mess. Remind me, who was it that trained all of your so called pack sisters to accept their condition? Oh that's right, Becky and I took it upon ourselves. You just bite or bang, and hand them a book in the hopes that they'll figure it out on their own." Emily was audibly hostile.
Karen stays behind to explain that the different groups have grown so large that they’re now divided, so consultations are more difficult and the pace is slowed, but the good work continues. There are still lives to save.
Magician has finally found her way home, and she’s pulled another rabbit out of that silk hat of hers, Houdini, who has a few tricks of his own.
The next chapter in my Gaby Dorset Trilogy - the re-emergence of Meadows threatens the training for Gaby's cycling team. How are they going to get around it? Whatever next?
Jerry awoke in his own bed that morning, not quite sure how he'd gotten there. All he seemed to remember was being at Queen Anne's Revenge one moment, and waking up at his place the next. Whatever happened in between was a total blur. What's more, he seemed to be wearing mens clothing that was not his own. Navy blue Adidas shorts and a bright yellow 'USC Banana Slugs' t-shirt adorned his body. He looked like...a dork.
“That pretty much sums it up for me to,” I tell her. “So help me out here,
girlfriend. Right about now I’m thinking that Andy is pretty sexy. He’s got
wonderful hazel eyes that I get lost in, strong shoulders, a cute butt, and
smells so manly. He’s also got a kind and gentle personality. I get all gooey
just thinking about him. I also took a good look at Dan today and think he’s
pretty cute too, but I know him too well and can’t imagine anything going on
there. Am I going nuts or what?”
Laurie smiles and gives me a hug, “No, Tina, you’re not going nuts. You’re
just a normal teen girl who is learning about love and life. Welcome to the
club. Oh, and you might want to add a few panty liners to your purse.”
My maternal grandmother and I had a very close relationship from the moment I was born. My father was beside himself with joy at finally having a son to pass on his name . Mother was just happy that 9 months of being fat and bloated were over. She figured that Dad would finally shut up and quit pestering her about having another child. My sister Angie was two years older and he pretty much ignored her. Grandmother told everyone that I would grow up to be a very special child. Dad came off with some snide remark to the effect of "Just as long as he isn't a sissy".
Michael Cohen's dream was to protect and serve as a police officer.... That job didn't satisfy him, until one day,
when people without names came to visit. He wanted to make a difference, but he didn't expect it to make a difference to him, too...
It isn’t like a switch where I am either male or female despite my physical changes. Doesn’t it say in the Bible, ‘Male and female He created them?’ Maybe I’m both, male and female, no matter what organs I had on the outside or the inside, a bit of each. But my personality, my soul, is still the same person I always was, as far as I can tell. I’m a human being, someone who can share the anguish of other human beings, someone who can share their joys.
Randolf looks apprehensive.
Luckily, because I am human, I can feel his uncertainty. I smile.
Looking at his face and again at the ring, I make my decision and open my mouth to speak, still smiling.
Another great sports story from Angela Rasch on Kindle from DopplerPress!
Orphaned, Angel has to move to live with his uncle. Even though a standout athlete in Illinois, he's having trouble finding a place to fit in Pecos. Angel played soccer back in the Midwest, but that isn’t even an option in this gridiron-crazed, West Texas town. He gets a job in a Dairy Queen, but it seems mostly due to a misunderstanding and his life goes off in a new direction....
"Wh-what?!" said the man, scandalized. "That's outrageous! We're not child stalkers! We're agents of the US government, here looking for known lawbreakers you're sheltering!"
From the time Taylor was five, all he could remember was wanting to be Emma’s younger sister.
He loved dressing up in her hand-me-downs. He admired his older sister and really wanted to be her. Halloween was his favorite holiday because he could let his fantasies run wild and be Cinderella or Wonder Woman. And playing make-believe was always fun when he could be the cute little girl.
But, something happened when he turned twelve. He put away the dresses and costumes. The doll house went up in the attic and Taylor’s fantasies were all in his mind.
Until one fateful Saturday that changed everything. This is that story.
