Teela and Emily arrive at the address they were given. They looked at the building in front of them and couldn’t believe that it used to be some sort of warehouse.
“Are you sure you have the right address, Teela?” Emily looks at her friend.
“I’m sure. This is the address Jester gave me. She also gave me the entrance code as well.” Teela walked into the small foyer and noticed there was a metal keypad with black numbers and letters.
In this chapter, Emily navigates a day filled with grief and reflection as she bids farewell to her mother. Amidst the weight of the occasion, small moments of kindness and support from those around her offer glimpses of comfort and strength, helping her take the first steps toward healing.
WARNING: This chapter has scenes involving a suicide. I have no personal experience of this, even though I remember once standing on a balcony at the top of a tall building wishing I had the courage to jump. I am glad now that I didn’t. I hope I have dealt with the matter sensitively and I beg your forgiveness if I haven’t.
The whole room was a swirling, gyrating mass of humanity and I looked around in the confusion for a familiar face. When I found it, the blood ran cold in my veins.
Sharon sensed my sudden stillness and leaned over to shout in my ear.
“Did you find her?”
I leaned back. This wasn’t going to be easy. I raised a finger to point.
“Yeah. Er, I er… She’s over there. Talking to Phil.”
In response to a suggestion from An Author, I cobbled together this silly little pastiche of naughtiness. Sometimes, Santa is just too busy, and he needs to subcontract to the, er, niche markets.
The tension and uncomfortable feelings dissapated as the day went on. Ryan felt a little ambivalent about what was happening to him. He knew that his last change was pretty dramatic, but he felt a sense of calm about it. He attributed it to his resiliance to remain true to himself no matter what changes occured physically to his body. He was in charge here...not the virus.

Merritt Lane McGraw feels he is a girl, but he is living through the Great Depression and World War II. It is a period before the words “crossdresser” and “transgender” were in the vocabulary and a time before sexual assignment surgery was a possibility. How is this lovely boy going to survive this?
Robert Shannon was in custody. A passerby noticed him passed out in a sewer and notified NYPD. When they tested him he had a blood alcohol level of 0.12. Apparently he had not been driving. If he had he might have ruined several more peoples' lives.

"Our friend
here," Joe indicated Melanie, "has been working undercover
behind enemy lines. We're accompanying her to assist in the
debriefing. She's a civilian, so she may not appear on your
documents, if you take my meaning."
The sentry looked
guarded. "Uh, I don't rightly know as if I can let her in, sir.
She's not on the list, you see."
"Corporal,"
Doc asked the sentry, "You'll let me in, won't you?"
"Yes, sir,
you're on the list."
"Then why don't
you let me use that phone in your hut, and I'll see if I can sort
this little difficulty out."
Jacob Burrows answered the ad for a mall Santa, and was surprised to discover that one had to actually attend a class before you were allowed to put on the red suit and beard. In fact, he was sent to a day long “Santa School”.
At the class, Jacob spent the day learning how best to act “jolly”, even when things were not going well. Things like when a kid pulls on your beard or pees on your pants.
CHAPTER 71
This was starting to get silly. I had dug myself into a hole, it seemed, where almost everyone around me was pair-bonding, breeding, marrying or just worrying about religious affiliations.
At last, Pansy is freed! But she has lost all knowledge of the previous two years. In that hotel room where, two years earlier, George had gone to bed with Petunia, it is George that awakens, to discover some changes. Can (almost) be read as an independent short tale, in the "magic" category.

. Chapter 18
Hana made a call to Sandra Hart, informing her about what happened to Ami. The doctor was fully aware that this was going to be Ami's coming-out to her father and she had cautioned Hana and Ami to proceed with caution. That was the plan until Robert flew off the handle with Ami and her skating partner.
A school for superheroes seemed like a good idea at the time. Template is on the faculty and her niece, Energia, is a student when they find out that not everyone agrees on the wonderfulness of education.
High level conspiracy? Alien technology? Is someone trying to kill off the superschool? And the supers with it?
It all started with someone launching a killer missile at Template's secret identity, Jenny’s aunt-er-uncle, Randy...
