We'd finished talking with Dave and I confessed what I had not to anyone else, my fear of heights. A couple of people knew, but none of them how much they scared me.
"So, how do you feel now?" Sarah asked Dave.

I jumped in without really thinking, "Well Cecelia, I think we can fix those problems, a clean diaper, and a nap should help." I got up and walked over.

I grabbed Lisa’s hand and pulled her into the mansion, gasping for air, and slammed the door behind us. I looked back at her; a mixture of pool water and sweat dripped down her face. She was shivering and I wasn’t sure if it was from being cold or from being scared.
“What’s going on out there, Steph?!” she demanded, holding back tears. “What were those things?!”

Chapter 1: The more you ask, the more I say
I woke up to darkness. It was Saturday. Through the night I'd felt as though there was something going wrong but I couldn't place it, quite. My head felt funny, like it had expanded. The soft glow of my computer's monitor could still be seen over my immobile feet from my vantage point at the head of the bed. It was a Saturday. I was sleeping in: it was around ten o'clock, though I normally woke up much later, closer to 12 or 1. I wish I remembered more ... it's really a blur what happened next. I have a tendency to block out my emotions. There was a knock at the door. I was crying and I couldn't understand why. The knock was soft and quailing. Through my sobs I couldn't hear the other person crying, but I knew they were, somehow. They entered the door. It was my aunt Lily, who lived four states away and was the most caring and least rational person I knew in my family, simultaneously. She believed in Wicca, though my own blasphemous atheist thoughts were tolerated nicely. Dabbing at her eyes she seemed almost like she couldn't talk, and choked before letting go with a single sentence:
"Rick and Gloria are dead."

Steffi was sitting all alone on the swing in the backyard. Momma Shelly glanced out the kitchen window as she was preparing afternoon lunch, and saw her thirteen-year-old with her ball cap pulled down over her eyes. She watched the young teen sitting slumped and dragging her feet back and forth across the ground as the swing slowly rocked.
Brandy leads my out of her place dressed and to her car. I’m clutching her hand until we get there and she smiles and blushes a bit and opens the car door for me. I get in and try to sit and slide into the seat even though I’m not wearing a skirt, it just seems right to try and do it like that. It’s not really that skirt locking my legs together thing but something like it.
“Excuse me, Mrs Brown. I need to borrow Miss Whittaker,” Mr Henry says as he enters the room. “Please would you come with me? Bring your belongings with you as the bell may ring before we are finished.”
I look across to Julie who smiles at me, trying not to laugh, so I give her the evil eye as I pass. I have the dreaded feeling that my parents are probably waiting for me in the office.
Sarah finished my bath and carried me down to the nursery. She stood me up on the floor and started opening up a dresser drawer. "The only underwear I have for you to wear are those panties we got at Walmart," she said. While she was doing that I grabbed one of my diapers off the shelf of the changing table.
I was just standing there holding the diaper when she turned around. "You want to wear a diaper?" I nodded. "Are you sure, Steve is still sitting out there?" I nodded again. "OK, what ever you want."
He knew he was going to catch some flack for the choice he made.
That's what he thought as he rummaged through his duffle bag.
Instead of a baseball gove, cleats, bat, helmet and uniform, he pulled out his ballet shoes, dance belt and unitard, not exactly the uniform of choice for most boys his age.
"Company warmups in five minutes, Max!" a voice yelled from the other side of his dressing room door.
Having returned to Helene's side what now lies in store for Arabella? If she is to continue her deception she will need a little help.
"Good morning mother, may I enquire after the smell?"
"Tis time for your bath, my child and all these unctions will ensure you smell as sweet as a girl of your standing has right to."
"But why is there a need for me to smell so?"
"I wish there were no need. Upon the return of the court I shall not be able to keep you hidden here, if you wish to remain then this is the only way."
I got home from lunch on Monday, and saw that I had message waiting for me. I hit the play button and "Hello, Steve? This is Sarah, Dave's landlady, I or rather Dave needs a favor from you. Could you give me a call back this afternoon? Thanks."
How insidious is evil? Can it become genetic? Can good be genetic? Where does that leave freedom of choice?

I'm starting a new job tomorrow, so I don't know how regularly I'll be posting. I'll try to at least do one a week.
“Found you ya fucking faggot.” Cliffs hand was wrapped around the back of my neck and was pressing me into the hallways clean gyp-rock wall. I can smell the dirt on him, the unwashed smell of body odor and the releasing of the toxic garbage in his system out through his skin. There’s whiskey on his breath and it mixes with the reeking choking smell of rotting teeth.
Tim is patiently waiting for his high school days to draw to a close. He can’t wait to go away to college, far from a dad who is disappointed with his son’s tiny frame. Tim is also unhappy with his body, for a much more shielded reason. Music provides the catalyst for lasting change.
Eve, born Evan Nichols, lived a lie for 28 years before finally deciding to do something about it. She knew becoming a woman would cause pain and emotional distress, but you can't prepare for everything...especially not romance.
