Chapter 16 Recap.
I take a deep breath, clenching my fist slightly as I try to steady myself. Just get it over with. They’re your friends—they’ll understand. Maybe.
I am so, so, so happy that Hunter touched so many hearts. Thank you all for reading
and for so many comments and emails. I really enjoyed these characters and I'm so
happy that you did, too. Please stay well! See you all next time!
Stevie finds himself exploring more and more of his feminine side as he settles into
his sister's home and begins caring for her family. Thank you to everyone who
commented on the first installment. I do love knowing that you are all well and
hearing from you. I appreciate your support. A word or warning, though - I do try
to explore the feelings, emotions and motivations of my characters and that
requires using words.
The drive home was quiet, the tension in the car palpable. David leaned against the window, watching the familiar streets roll by, but his thoughts were far from comforting. The doctor’s words echoed in his mind, and though his parents tried to keep the conversation light, the weight of the unknown loomed over them.
After a lot of fun Toni really knuckles down to work. She’s been given the freedom and opportunity to really show what she can do in her job, maybe the opportunity to keep her job. However the freedom comes in extraordinarily handy when she faces her first crisis, all alone and anxious for reasons she can’t understand.
The question is whether the nascent Toni is strong enough to handle this? And whether she can even begin to handle it? What she does could determine where she goes next. Is Toni ready for what Toni? Or is the warning Big-G gave her about setbacks coming true faster than she could ever have expected?
Of course it did, I was sitting on the loo. When else does it ring, other than when I’m in the shower.
I refuse to take my phone with me when I’m doing my business or I’m naked and wet, so it rang out and went to “Message”, allowing me to complete doing what I had to do and make myself half-way decent (or at least to cover myself up) before going to see if anything worthwhile had come in.
The next email from ‘Uncle Vanya’ arrived just after the sun had set for the day. Sergei had watched the light of the day ending from the west terrace of his home.
Society as a whole likes a normalcy bias or a status quo. Change comes in many forms and what it presents determines how readily it is accepted. Cars and planes were readily embraced by most but not all. Let's not forget the flat earth and many were put to death for proclaiming the world was round and not the center of the universe. Thus are the things many can't understand but they accept and others never will.
Pete's Vagina 43.1 Highlight Reel by Erin Halfelven
The idea of me having a date with Leland Frick, the team photographer, almost caused a riot. By this time, there seemed to be sixteen girls —including me, damnit!— left at the party, and all of them had one thing to discuss: my supposed date.
I reveled in the luxurious bath, surrounded by the soothing scent of oils and the gentle ministrations of the servant women. The bath was large enough to have several people in the tub at the same time. The tile was placed in a mosaic of the Caravelle crest at the bottom of the tube. It was a rare moment of relaxation, a respite from the challenges and mysteries that had unfolded since my arrival at the Caravelle Empire. As I lay in the tub, I couldn't help but think about the enigmatic Grand Cleric and the society I now found myself a part of.
Wilhelm led the three of us off and the orchestra followed. Over some refreshments Kelly announced that tomorrow afternoon was a full-dress rehearsal with the press attending, starting at three so that we could stay dressed for the Friday night performance, if we didn’t spill any drinks on our outfits.
I wonder if I had not looked as good as I did, whether it might have been different. Perhaps I did not even look that good – what do you think? I had understood that drag was more about roasting women than imitating them, but the makeup artist saw something in me which persuaded her not to go too crazy on the eye makeup as she did for the other guys.
According to family legend, dozens of my ancestors on my daddy side of the family, fought and died under the banner of Charles Edward Stuart, and when he was defeated at the Battle of Culloden they were forced to flee to the colonies, and somehow later ended up here in Mississippi. I don't know how true that story is. But I do know, my dad always wished to see Scotland, to him it was that fable homeland. He was proud as a peacock of the few remaining traces of Scottish blood that flowed in his veins.
The table was covered in finger foods. Pointing at one that looked like it was peaches in a steaming purple sauce, the dish floated up and came over to me, putting a single piece of fruit on my plate. Using my fork I cut off a small piece, and gave it a taste. As it melted in my mouth, it had an odd flavour of a sweet peach, and a slightly sour taste that worked really well together, keeping both flavours from being too strong.
Keeping my knees and ankles together was difficult for me, holding them together in a upright position worked the best for me and to have my legs at a angle looked better and more feminine but it was even harder to sit in that position for any length of time.
Mom could see this so she had me cross my legs and wala that was the answer for me, it really felt way more comfortable and natural crossing my legs, so that became my sitting position from that morning on, plus I really kinda loved it.
Lance sees a makeover offer at a costume shop that he couldn't pass up. Unfortunately, he didn't have the money to pay for it, but the store owner was willing to make a deal.

Marcia is seventeen, and along with Darryl, has moved south in Alaska to attend the Anchorage campus of the Alaska State University. She wants to pursue her dream, but will it pursue her instead?
I want to thank Malady, once again, for his help checking through this story for the many errors I frequently insert, as well as listening to my sometimes completely crazy ideas about the direction of the story and telling me how crazy they are! Stephen
had stitches on his temple, and Mage had heard from Bruce that the
doctor had a bit of repair work to do on the temporal muscle below.
It had been cut a bit. The bone had a hairline fracture in it, but
the skin and muscle had cushioned it enough that it hadn’t been any
worse. A concussion had occurred, which was likely why Stephen
didn’t remember too much of the incident.
“I
can imagine,” Mage replied. “Can we talk a bit?”
Stephen
beckoned her inside, but she said, “Maybe out in the garden?”
He
followed her out to the garden bench. It was a typical iron and 1x3
board bench, but instead of being in a flower garden, it was in
between
giant cabbages, each with heads over
a foot in diameter, and pumpkins that would end up being over 100 or
more pounds because of the incredible growing conditions in the
Matanuska Valley.
I think at this point in my girlhood experiences mom was accepting it and enjoying it, seeing how I was really enjoying it too mom probably realize that I didn’t have a need to be a girl but just loved girl things and the fact that my sister was a tomboy jock mom was just happy to have a new daughter to have some girl fun with.
Toni is in Light Avenue, yes! on a worknight, and what has she agreed to? Worse, what has she done to herself? Nothing other than invite the barman who was flirting with her to join her for a drink. What he wants from her she can’t even begin to fathom but considering the flirting it must involve man and woman things. What’s she going to do?
And worse, how does she continue her life after that? If she doesn’t drop dead from shame on the spot she’ll have to continue working on the healthcare report from work. She’ll have to continue having actual guys as friends knowing she, well... maybe likes doing things with them. Depending on how her drink with Jackson goes... If it’s not a joke... It’s all in Toni’s future, and all of her own making.
When I awoke it was late evening. I could see that the sky was dark outside. I sat up on the bed to see my hostess across the room. She had a jacket on and was about to exit by the apartment door.
“You’re awake, sleepy. Sorry I disturbed you. How do you feel now?”
The man with the unruly mane of long, dark hair stepped into the dimly lit club, his eyes scanning the room with a sense of detachment that had become a habit. His hair, a cascade of midnight strands, flowed down his back like a rebellious river. It was his signature, a defiant statement against conformity, and an unspoken challenge to a world that preferred neatly cropped conformity. He was no stranger to curious glances, smirks, and whispered comments as he moved through the crowd. Tonight, however, would be different.
