In times past, when the sun seemed to grow cold and civilizations abated,
it fell to just a few to keep the flickering ember that was knowledge from fading.

Andrew finds his Father in the midst of organizing several builders who, with some assistance from several hundred warriors, are in the process of felling trees for use in building as well as clearing the tree stumps and leveling portions of the land in preparation of building. There is a gentle slope to the land which will assist greatly in the drainage of the area should there be a hard rain, which always seems to happen when one least expects it, and the entire area appears to be quite adequate for the buildings and creation of a grassy field for use as a training ground. While the entire scene viewed from afar appears to be a ‘mad-house’, upon closer inspection everything may be determined to be well orchestrated with many logs being brought to the mill and kilns which have been hastily erected within the initial clearing.

They eventually reached a clearing, A mine cart junction. It was essentially a cavern that had been carved even larger by hands other than goblins. A single shaft of light filtered down from a single opening in the roof of the room. In the center of this light was a small chest, it was boring was all Verris said to describe the chest. It was nothing more than an ornate wooden crate with a hinge. Ash took the honours of stepping forward to try and pick it's lock.

"what did you get?" Arric asked looking at the necklace.

"I think we might be in for a lot of trouble, its a rare anti-dragon breath pendant." Cael said.

"Nah shoot girl, we don't get dragons down here. Its a small mountain pass. Unless o' course y'all had the bad luck to stumble upon a long lost war-dragon from the elf-goblin war waged countless ages ago." Taf said shoving his hands in his pockets and smiling his yellow, gaped smile.

Cael and Arric laughed. "Well, we are set up for trouble now."

Missii and Kayla situate the Felines they just hired, introducing them to the previous four Feline hires and the ten human warriors. This gives the house a combat force of 34, plus Missii and Kayla, with the weight heavily on the Feline side.

It has taken nine years, but Cindy is finally a senior in High School. There have been some fantastic events, events that not all her friends are aware of. Cindy has a boy friend (It is really much more serious than that) and Bobbie and Andy have taken their love to the next step. Myrna Breckenridge is surprised to see that Cindy has a boyfriend; after all, she never had one before. But wasn’t there someone?

The fire turned from yellow to blue, then it turned colorless before it turned green and finally black. The heat was so intense that even with Naamah's glyph shield, it felt like I was being scorched from the inside out.

The flames continued to burn for a few more minutes until with a sweep of her hands, it vanished. In its place was a field of scorched earth. "Well, I think we can say for sure that she wasn't there." She dusted off her hands as if a finishing touch.

"If she was there, you would've already turned her into charcoal," Naamah countered. Agrat simply shrugged.

Andrew carries Alice out of the meal hall. Alexandra links to the Percoin garden following the arrival of the SaVannah sisters and everyone quickly crosses, then she drops the link.

Immediately after Missii and Kayla have gone through the link to Scearnvale, Andrew closes the link and thinks back to the armor he purchased from Master Carlaine's. ‘The sisters should do all right. If they purchase everything at once to save money then they will come back and ask for perhaps three hundred or so more.' Nodding his head, he turns his concentration toward the children and the lessons to be achieved today.

“What do you mean you can’t fix it?” I practically yelled at one of the sweetest, kindest, nicest old ladies in this or any other universe.

She blinked at me in her somewhat near-sighted way, sipped her cocoa, and shook her head sadly. “Are you sure you don’t want any hot-chocolate, Andy? Its lovely and warm.”

“Aunty Claire,” I half-groaned, half-growled. “I hate chocolate… and I don’t want to be a girl.” I barely resisted the urge to tell her to stop calling me Andy, a nickname I’ve always hated.

Chapter 09

The Sun begins to hesitantly peek from below the horizon, cautiously casting it's gaze upon the land only to discover that two young Feline sisters have dramatically outpaced it, well on their way to fun and adventure in the shopping district of Percoin. They have arrived there even as many of the shops are only just beginning to prepare for a day of enticing passers by to come within to spend their money. The sisters stop here and there to obtain small items of comfort or occasionally a little food to chew, or drink to break their thirst.

Alis, the King and Queen’s personal healer examined Deirdre with a slight smile on her face while watching other disrobe. “You have changed a lot, Your Grace, since I last examined you.”

“True enough.” Deirdre agreed with a hint of resignation in her voice, but suddenly smiled. “But it has put me together with my soulmate, so I suppose I shouldn’t complain, should I?”
