I want a huggle-bug for Christmas
I want a huggle-bug for Christmas
Only a huggle-bug will do
I don't want a doll, no dinky Tinkertoy
I want a huggle-bug to play with and enjoy
I want a huggle-bug for Christmas
I don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you?
He won't have to use our dirty chimney flue
Just bring him through the front door
That's the easy thing to do
I can see me now on Christmas morning
Creeping down the stairs
Oh, what joy and what surprise
When I open up my eyes
To see my happy huggle standing there
I want a huggle-bug for Christmas
Only a huggle-bug will do
she can spread the girly-germs
to every girly-girl
And even tomboys like me too
I want a huggle-bugs for Christmas
a huggle-bug is all I want
And if I were to get two
I'll share one with you!

Cute Dot
It makes me want to sing carols, do Christmas baking, and spread girly germs... if I can work up the energy.

Don't take me too seriously. I'm just kitten around. :3
imagine girly girl carolers
spreading Christmas joy and girly germs everywhere !
Nice!
Nice parody. I don't think that I've ever heard the original, but I have (somewhere) Spike Jones's Christmas CD, with their parody of the same song. I forget what the boy wanted in that version -- a walrus perhaps? Maybe an octopus? Probably not an alligator.

he wanted a hippopotamus
but I'd rather have huggle-bugs
Ah yes
I remember now, it was a hippopotamus. Was that the original song, or only in the Spike Jones Parody?
Hugglebugs? How about hugglemuffins?
