The job didn't pay a lot , but it kept a roof over my head and food in my tummy. I was also fortunate in that Kringle's was a friendly place to work for the LGBT community. The owner's daughter was among our sisterhood, having completed her transition 6 years before.Her name was Claire and she worked in the Accounting department.

Inane Christmas music that some idiot had decided was the perfect Santa’s Workshop tune, echoed blandly in the noisy room. Just hours away from the Fat Man’s only reason for existing, everyone including those preposterous excuses for reindeer, were getting ready for the Visit.

Former boy, now transformed, walks to where her father still lives.

Rings the bell, fights the urge to run away.

Old man answers, still rigid and unbending despite the years.

He looks at who it is, his face a stone mask.

“I told you when you left, you are no son of mine.”

Her heart breaks.

His expression softens.

“But, if you can forgive an old fool, I would be honored if you let me call you my daughter.”

We stayed for maybe another twenty minutes before we kissed and walked to our Honeymoon suite. The room was breathtaking just like out of a fantasy. I know that Taylor did this. He scoops me into his arms and walks me through the threshold.
