Another dream, another story!

I was 17 when my world decided to change. I’m the eldest son of a famous artist father and a mom who works in corporate law. I have a younger brother, a stereotypical jock, who is almost a foot taller than me at 6’3”, and never lets me forget it. Tommy looks like our dad, and it’s very obvious which one of us is his pride and joy. I knew my dad loved me, but I frequently caught him looking at me with a very disappointed eye, and perhaps just a hint of disgust.

Our mothers were genuinely excited to hear our decision.

“Well, have you decided who will play each part?” My mother could barely keep the sly smile off her face when she asked the question.

Out of the mouths of babes...

“Why did you come after me?” I asked as Mom opened the door on the van. She looked at me and Abby and realized that Abby had the situation under control.

“Because I’ve been in your shoes…” Was Abby’s simple, but profound statement. I slowly glanced up at her.

The Play

It's amazing how over life's courses that you forget many an occurrence that at the time were important to you. This is just such a story and memory, one from a long since forgotten time (but thats what diaries are for right?).
