My heart beat rapidly and I walked with shaky steps as I made my way to the concession stand. I repeatedly clenched my fist in an effort to get rid of the tingly feeling where we'd touched.

"We need more popcorn" I'd said to him shortly after our hands parted and we looked away. While that was true, it was mostly meant as a way to put some much needed distance between us.

I couldn't believe I was missing the movie I'd waited so long for. At this rate, I would have to make another trip here to rewatch it.

Charles is now at Jane's Winsome Girls' School for Wayward Boys. He has volunteered to become one of Jane's girls to help Jane not only clear his name but to help Francis. I was lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling, attempting to parse through the revelation that Katie's bombshell confession had dropped on me.

To be honest, the news that a good portion of Charlene's guilt wasn't her own didn't do a whole lot to make me forgive her for the way she'd behaved in the intervening years. Did it help paint a more understanding picture? Of course. Did it wipe the slate clean, and make what she'd done to Jackson and to her friends okay?

This is part 4 of my first work, a fan continuation of the unfinished Kemeia Ascending. It is entirely inspired by Armond's magical world of Argentia and its Goddess Selene.

Chapter 3

Robert stood in the hallway for the next 5 minutes absorbing what had just happened. Then he went into the kitchen and stood there for another 5 minutes considering what he should do next. His appetite was gone so he simply grabbed a granola bar from the cupboard and began chewing on it. He walked into the living room and sat on the sofa, his legs tucked beneath himself.

Chapter 5

We all had an early night that evening. We were all tired from the concentration, effort, and sheer excitement of the day. Sunday was back to normal, tidying around the house, eating, and my packing for another week away.

After a less-than-stellar time at their employer's New Year's party, Courtney returns home with a new drive to prove to the world just how much of a man she -- err, he -- truly is.
