On Monday morning Mark got woken up rather roughly. It was only 7:30 am, but his phone was going off loudly. Confused he picked it up to see who would call at this ungodly hour. Nerves instantly struck him when he saw his girlfriend’s caller ID pop up.

What happened yesterday instantly crashed back to his memory, but even worse was the knowledge that he was supposed to go to CC’s with her. Going to that boutique always made him feel nervous but going there with Lisa after she had shown how dominant she could be really made his stomach turn in knots.

Chapter 11   A prophecy comes true

Teddy and Jeff watch as the Lear Jet they were on starts taking off. They grab Brittney’s and Terry’s hand and hold onto them. Brittney just smiles as she feels Teddy grab her hand.

“We’ll be alright, Teddy. I trust my cousin.” Brittney reassures Teddy.

Two hours later, they land at a private airport. Brittney and Terry were amazed at how bigger it has gotten since they were last at the airfield. August guides the Lear into the private hangar that had the planes that she and Butch personally owned. Once she comes to a complete stop, she powers down.

The sun was warm on my face as I dozed on a south-facing bench, its heat reflecting back from the honey-coloured stone wall behind me, my backpack heavy against my side. It had been a rather complicated train ride to Hexham, but I was there, and the weather seemed set fine. All I had to do was wait for Mam and Dad, grazing occasionally from the food I had grabbed in Carlisle station as I waited for the little railbus that served the smaller stations. Mick had dropped me at Crewe, where I had caught the Intercity to the place Charlie had taken as his new home. I knew he was now locked up, but I had still felt the back of my neck prickling as I had waited on the platform.

The parents of a troublesome teenage son finally had enough and sends him for special training. He gets more than she bargains for.

I am like that guy Hamlet. You know: “To be or not to be, that is the question”. I just could not make up my mind. I must have stood there on that cliff top for close to an hour. To be or not to be.

I had heard that the last guy who threw himself off “The Leap” had just driven there in his car with his girlfriend, ran up and over the barrier and he was gone. Dead on the rocks below within seconds. Too easy. But not me.

So along came Janet Downing. She came, and we talked. And I did not jump.

Serinina realizes that after everything she accomplished that she is still very unhappy and bitter. Her suffering wont end and she makes a critical decision and gets the help she needs to correct some of the things she did.

“See,” Devi was saying, “a blue or green robe means you’re a girl, and yellow, orange or red means you’re a boy. At least for the Zyuneban. The Stasa have more complicated rules. And I guess we’re Stasa now, instead of Zyuneban like I was last time, so... anyway, pick whichever robe you feel like, if you can find one that fits you.”

Chapter 9

The treatment that I was experimenting with Kate didn't turn out to be only one way. Talking about your problems wasn't always helpful, sometimes it seemed to even make the problem worse, but I found if you combined talking about your feelings with dealing with them more logically, often finding the unexpected emotion that was behind the one you thought you were dealing with, you could cause the spike to settle or the past emotional hurt to lose its intensity.
