I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
My name is Marc and my story began like so many others that are considered as being ‘different’.
I was raised and influenced by a single parent household that consisted of my mother, twin sisters and me. Mother desperately wanted a third daughter that she would name Marcia; instead she dropped the last two letters and I became Marc. A stint at summer camp further ignited and fueled my feminine side.
'Alterations' continues the story of Stacy's journey from 'Exchanged' and 'Little Hope.' Stacy is a young college student who chose to travel to a new dimension to study their advanced computing technology at a prestigious university as an exchange student. Stacy thought he knew what he was getting into when he traveled, but multiple events show that he didn't plan for every problem he would encounter. Recently on a trip his adoptive parents adopted another Little, Bella, to help prevent her from being taken by unscrupulous Amazons. Stacy now begins orientation and classes at Emerson as the small family attempts to stay safe from the outside threat. Can Stacy manage to navigate college classes and everything the dimension can throw at him, and still make it back home with a degree? (Story set in the Diaper Dimension)
The bad news that arrived at the end of the last installment has huge ramifications
for Jordan and he tries to come to come to terms with everything that has been thrown
at him.
Twins Lea and Zack want to spend their last summer before college together, because Lea is going off to an all-girls college. Their mother finds the perfect job for them as nannies at a lake cottage, perfect except the woman is looking to hire two girls.
We arrived at our destination and Steve let us out at the kerb. He said he would wait for a message and would need about twenty minutes lead time. We walked in to the most girly place I have ever seen, the pink almost made your eyes water.
The three girls were obviously well known there and we were all waved through the doors and into the lobby.
I whispered to Margo that I now needed to use the toilet so she said “Bog bonding time” to the others and we trooped into the toilets.

Marcia is seventeen, and along with Darryl, has moved south in Alaska to attend the Anchorage campus of the Alaska State University. She wants to pursue her dream, but will it pursue her instead?
I'd like to apologize for the 2 month delay from chapter 11 being posted and this one. As is always the case, I'd like to thank Malady for his help checking through this story for the many errors I frequently insert, as well as listening to my sometimes completely crazy ideas about the direction of the story and telling me how crazy they are!

It
had been a long day for Marcia. She was briefing Darryl,
Mage, and Chet
on what she’d found out from the two men. When she told them
that Kirk was Wanda Gregory’s nephew, and Stephen’s
cousin, Darryl just shook his head.
In
contrast, Mage exclaimed, “I can’t believe how
many people are related to each other in this case!”
CHAPTER 27
I had bent over the bed as she started to tremble, half-formed words gradually increasing in volume, and when she realised it was me, she crashed awake, pulling my arms about her.
Twenty-seven year old Aiden Wellington and his mother never saw eye to eye, but when he received a text from her saying she needed him, he immediately left for the estate his mother and grandmother lived in. Nearly at his mother’s home, an accident nearly claims his life. He should have been killed but instead he wakes to discover his life would be altered forever.
This is the first book of a trilogy, but reads as a stand alone novel. Look for book two of the trilogy being completed soon.
In between performances, Holly takes Michelle out for dinner.
Chapter Six – Mrs Bennet in 2021
“I really enjoyed that,” said Sheila back in the dressing room after our half hour (OK, forty minutes) synopsis of Miss Austen’s five-hundred-page novel. “You were all really good. You must be so proud of Holly.”
Their first day started uneventfully. The trio got their locker assignments, their class schedules, and coordinated when they would have time to hang out and share classes. When Josh saw the first class of the day that his parents had signed him up for was Home Economics instead of the Shop class he'd asked for, his heart sank a little more. The only bright point was that he'd be sharing the class with Tracy... and twenty-seven other girls.
Sex is one of the major drivers of humanity – in fact, it is the first driver. Money and power came later. They are social constructs. Sex is why we exist. We are here because of it, and our purpose is driven by it.
I thought long and hard as to whether to go to the funeral before deciding that paying my respects to one of my oldest friends was more important than my pride and possible hurt feelings. If there were any nasty repercussions then it would be something that I would just have to deal with as it happened.
With a razor in her hand she told me to stand still while she checked me for errant hair. There were a few on my back that I had not been able to reach and a couple on the backs of my legs that I had missed but she was happy that I had fulfilled my task.
She then asked me what I had worn when Keith had visited so I opened the fun room and showed her the leather pants and jerkin. She wanted to know what I had worn on my feet and I showed her the boots.
A smile broke across Josh's face as he approached the bus stop. The cool air of the September morning stung his nose slightly, but it didn't detract from the happiness he felt at going back to school again. Unlike a lot of the boys in his class, Josh loved school. Now that he was going to Junior High, he would even be going to school with his two best friends, Tracy and David Edwards. He always thought it was silly that just because they lived two blocks over they had to go to completely different Primary and Intermediate schools. Stepping up his approach to a light jog, he couldn't wait to see them.
When tragedy strikes, Opportunity knocks, and a new persona is born. A cross-country move away from everything Robert has known followed by a chance encounter trigger a different sort of existence. Can "Robin" adapt or will it all come tumbling down?
What would you do to get ahead in life, in love? Would you turn your life upside down; move to a foreign country; abandon your job, your home, your family? But you wouldn't change your sex! Would you?
Getting Ahead in Romance by Maryanne Peters Now on Kindle
"Granny, Granny, please tell us a story! Pretty please, Granny!" said nine year old Linda as she sat on the floor with her twin sister Julia.
They had on matching sky blue blouses and navy blue skorts which each had embroidered a red rose with green stem and leaves as well as the first initial of their name. They both looked precious in their white knee socks and black Mary Jane's. Each of them looked intently at me with their deep blue eyes, resisting the temptation to twirl their long blonde hair in their fingers, since they loved my stories.
Before I could answer, Julia burst out, "Tell us a new one, Granny! Pretty, please!"
