So recently, I had two "new" to us servers deliverred to the datacenter. They weren't directly for the BigCloset Cluster but by moving things around and giving me room to do some maintenance, they will improve performance at BCTS.
The problem is, that our car (My 2005 Ford Escape) died at the end of last month, and a friend gave us a 2013 Sonata that had been sitting for a while. The Sonata needed 2300 in repairs that they helped us with and we are paying back, but on my way to the datacenter today it died.
The tow driver from the Parkway towed it to his shop, and dropped me at a parkway service area. After putting in 5q of Oil he said it sounds like it popped a piston, because it won't quiet down.
A new "used" enginge ins $3000 with a 90 day warranty but I don't know what to do.
We are still homeless in a hotel. The Agency is saying they are going to stop paying soon even though it appears we are 1-2 months away from an apartment (we are also paying $1100/month towards the hotel ourselves, and all apartments that we are talking to won't be available till Last week of August or September 1st).
At some point I'm going to figure out how I keep wronging the world and fix it, so this kind of shit stops, but I juist don't know what to do.
A friend is coming to pick me up and take me home (to save me the $120 Lyft/Uber fee) which is immensely helpful right now. But I still don't know how/when I will be able to make it to the datacenter (in staten island) to do the work I NEED to do (to help our financial stability and BCTS's structural stability).
Sorry for venting.

I wish I could help
but with Sharon unemployed all my extra money is going to support her and Sam.
But I can send you some huggles, maybe they can help you feel better.
Thank You, I understand.
HuGs/HuGgLeS always help, and trust me, I truly understand the lack of $ issues. IT's not a fun place to be, especially when you want to help everyone else.
That's probably the most challenging part: wanting to do what I need to do to move forward, while also trying to give to others, sometimes in ways that are detrimental to myself. IT's a rough place to be, but we will make it through, and I won't stop helping when I can!

I saw that the site has been down a few times
So thought you were busy. I'm sorry that you are still having financial problems, but having a clown for a president doesn't help the poorer people even if some support him. A little help via paypal is on its way through Erin, don't forget to ask her for it. Let's face it we couldn't keep the site going without your efforts.

Thank You, and about that downtime...
Thank you, and yeah, the clown continues to make life worse and worse around here (we live in a place where there used to be two pro-Trump stores; at least there is only one now). Thank you so much for the help. I was significantly down when I wrote the above message. My feelings of hope and moving forward are back up again, but I'm going to be honest, I was at a record low for a bit when this all went down.
As for the downtime, I've had to step away from the desk a lot more than usual when trying to find housing and such (visits, paperwork, and "housing events"), and it seems like this shit happens always when I'm not available to push the button immediately. I'm working on re-scripting some of my safeguards so that I can walk away more and just let it run. Plus, I'm making the moves to bring up the new version of BC we are working in the background (which will as much as possible be just like the current version) with performance improvements and some creature comforts as well :)
