Aero Flight Secret Research Facilities, Pines Bluff, Wyoming:
“Okay, girls. What you are about to see here is to remain secret. You can not talk to anyone about this at all. This is the reason I have had you practicing wearing your armor in the giant pool down in Huston.” Patricia lands the blackout helicopter they took from the Mountain Complex Base.
The landing pad under them starts lowering them down into an old missile complex. The women inside the helicopter watch as they start descending into the missile tube. They stop about thirty feet down inside the old silo. Several techs come out and wheel the helicopter off the landing pad and into a storage spot.
“Alright, ladies. Keep your helmets off until we are aboard the shuttlecraft.” Patricia exists from the cockpit, followed by Jennifer.
Patricia has been training Jennifer to pilot helicopters, single-engine planes, and several other aircraft kept at the airfield. The team was going to need a pilot and Jennifer seemed to be the best choice. Cortney, Jessie, Kara, and Stephanie exit from the passenger area of the helicopter.
All of them were wearing their specialized body armor. They follow behind Jennifer and Patricia. Stephanie was staying close to Cortney since she was the oldest among them and the default leader of the group.
“Mom, where are we going?” Stephanie was curious about what they were doing.
“You’ll see sweetie.” Patricia knew her adopted daughter was curious.
After a few minutes, they come to a closed hangar door. Patricia mentally enters the access code for it to open.
“Did you do that, mom?” Stephanie looks at her mother.
A smile appears on Patricia's face.
“I so want your ability, Pat.” Kara loved how Patricia could control computers.
“Trust me, Kara. My ability can be a headache sometimes.” Patricia watches as the hangar door opens.
When the door fully opens, and the lights turn on. Sitting inside was a shuttlecraft that looked like something from Star Trek.
“That’s a Star Trek shuttlecraft.” Kara couldn’t believe there was a Star Trek shuttlecraft sitting in front of them.
“Yeah, someone in the design department thought it would be cute to build a Type 14 shuttlecraft.” Patricia had given them several different types of shuttlecrafts designed and they built this inside.
“Does this mean we are going into space?” Jessie was curious as she looks at Patricia.
“Yep! You girls are going into space today. I’m going to teach you how to operate your MRU units in space.” The armor the girls were wearing today was designed to operate in space.
“How are we going to get that shuttle up into space? Don’t we need a booster rocket or something?” Cortney looks at Patricia.
“Nope, that shuttlecraft is based on technology from my fighter and engineering blueprints I have stored in Ghost. The technology in it, is still
what is being used now, with a little tweak to it. Isn’t that right, Lt. O’Connor?”
“Aye, Lass.” A young man dressed in a black uniform with an Irish accent and light brown hair comes walking into the hangar.
All the girls turned and look at the young man. He was well built and stood a little taller than Cortney.
“I think I’m in love.” Jessie liked what she was seeing.
“Down, girl. We will be working with this guy.” Kara looks at her friend.
“You know how to spoil my mood.” Jessie looks at Kara to let her know she was disappointed.
“Sorry.”
Lt. O’Connor walks up to Patricia and shakes her hand “it’s good to see you again, Pat.”
“You too, Roy. Are you ready to take us up into space?”
“You don’t know how long I have been waiting to do this.” Roy couldn’t wait to take the shuttle up into space.
“You mean, you haven’t taken this craft into space and back again?” Kara looks at Lt. O’Conner with a questionable expression on her face.
“Into space, no. However, I have been to the outer edge of the atmosphere and back again.” Roy loved being where only the Blackbird could fly.
“Girls, this is a first for everyone. I have faith in Lt. O’Conner’s ability and in this craft.” Patricia has checked everything over several times. She knew this shuttlecraft can do the job.
“Well, let's board the shuttlecraft and get ready for takeoff.” Patricia uses her gift to open the shuttlecraft.
“Going where no man has gone before,” Kara says before she enters the shuttlecraft.
“Funny, Kara. Very, very funny.” Jessie follows everyone inside the shuttlecraft and takes a seat.
“Jennifer, you’re acting as co-pilot. I want you to follow everything Lt. O’Conner does.” Patricia trusted Lt. O’Conner.
“Yes ma’am.” Jennifer gets up and moves to the co-pilot seat.
“Alright, Mr. O’Conner. Take us up into space.”
“Yes ma’am.” O’Conner files the flight plan with control and hovers over to the launch pad.
Patricia was monitoring the shuttlecraft with her ability. She had to make some small adjustments to the system, but everything started working smoothly.
“Engage stealth systems Mr. O’Conner.”
“Stealth systems engage.” O’Conner shows Jennifer how to activate the stealth systems.
“Takes us up, Mr. O’Conner.”
“Aye, aye Pat.” O’Conner shows Jennifer how to use the flight controls.
“How is this craft, flying?” Jessie, Cortney, and Kara look at Pat.
“There’s an anti-gravity field surrounding the craft. That’s why we don’t need a booster rocket or huge engines to fly.”
“What is powering this craft?” Kara was curious.
“A small compact fusion reactor is powering this shuttlecraft.” Patricia knew the design was safe.
“A what?” all the girls look at Patricia with worried looks on their faces.
“Don’t worry girls. It is completely safe. The design is highly advanced and very safe. The design is similar to what powers the weapon systems on my fighter.” Patricia had to use the knowledge she had of her fighter to help build this shuttlecraft.
“If, you’re sure.” Kara didn’t look convinced.
“I am.” Patricia sits back against the seat she was sitting in and enjoys the flight.
Stephanie looks at her mother “are you sure this is a good idea, mom?”
“Sweetie, everything will be okay. As long as everyone does exactly as I say. You girls will be safe.” Patricia looks at her daughter to reassure her.
Stephanie felt a little worried. She trusted her mother, but she is worried something will go wrong.
“I’m just worried, mom.”
“I know, sweetie. I was worried the first few times I went up into space.” Patricia wishes she had the safety equipment they were using in this training.
“Alright ladies, we are leaving the Earth behind and entering into space.” O’Conner was loving this flight.
All the girls get up and look out the front window as they entered space. A smile appears on Patricia’s face. She loved watching the girl’s reaction. She couldn’t wait to get them in space.

Voyager or DS9?
Looks a LOT like a runabout Tom Paris built in Voyager & the one used in DS9. THIS story is getting better and better.
Love Samantha Renée Heart.
Shuttlecraft
Nope, that's a shuttle craft. This is the Delta Flyer.

The stealth mode
It is an absolute necessity for a craft like this. I have to wonder what kind of weapons it also has? It would scare the crap out of a lot of other countries if they knew that it existed.
