The Unkindest Cut.

I had read, or heard someone say that Transgender folk have a high incidence of Autism or something on the Spectrum, but I know a woman that spent many years working with the folk and she does not see the connection.

Then I was reading on the internet and it seems to be a popular idea among PhD. Psych. folk that Transgender folk have a predominance of three serious personality disorders; Paranoid PD, avoidant PDs, and comorbid PDs. Someone else indicated that many were Borderline Personality.

The reality of cheerleading

Blog About:

Author:

Cheerleading is part of the American identity and frequently used as a story device or plot on this site. But how much do those of us not actually involved really know about it. A new film claims to take the lid off a less than glamorous world of exploitation nastiness and the victims as always are women.

See attached link from the Guardian and see if you still want to write about cheerleading.

Okay. Here's the deal. I tried to post this before and got some flak. This guy has the information you need to get the financial help you need.

This is ME, not some virus or worm or hacked into account! I will grant you that the presenter SEEMS a bit scattered and he thinks he's funny, BUT he is not asking for ANY money from anyone. He is merely presenting information that a lot of people might not be aware of and how to GET what is available for things like rent and utility assistance. Like some tax breaks. Like child care or student loan assistance.

I wrote TWO stories on here, years ago, predicting Trump trying for a dictatorship (Choices, choices and Emily's Strange Life). Do I get kudos or was it just obvious all along?

Just to let other writers and readers know that I recently tested positive for covid-19. I have a heart condition, borderline diabetes, age, covid-pneumonia to make things interesting. I am doing well as I am taking an antibiotic to help my lungs and had an infusion of a medicine that is to help me fight this as well.
Besides feeling blah and bored I m doing well.
The Big Closet family is important to me. Your thoughts mean a lot. MY heart and prayers for others with the disease, quarantining themselves and medical people.

Hugs, Jessie C

Dealing with our inner critic

Blog About:

Author:

An article from the Guardian which may be thought-provoking or even helpful to some. It suggests we are often too harsh on ourselves and that in order to be more kind to others we need to show ourselves a little more compassion. With the current situation of lockdowns, economic problems and risk of illness, it may be an interesting read.

In my story, "Hot and Steamy", one of the characters is a former Industrial Steam Loco called 'Lucy'.
https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/book-page/82210/hot-and-steamy
Little did I know when I wrote the tale that there is a small steam loco called Lucy residing on the NYMR (North Yorkshire Moors Railway). This Lucy is a formed Brussels Tramway Loco.

Strange coincidence or what?

May I wish each and everyone at BC a happy Christmas and hope that 2021 turns out to be a lot better than this.

Jingle Bells

Jingle all the way!--break-->

So the second week of Advent has seen slightly more settled weather hereabouts, mostly dry and even a spot of sunshine! I've had my first Chrimbo card, from my Grandson (well Mummy had to do the writing bit), I just have to work out how to get his presents up to Yorkshire - there are so many! I think I have a plan, do you think the USS Enterprezzie will be able to do the honours?

Research the url in this blog. Money for you!

Research the url in this blog. It may help if you are behind in rent, or need food, or help with utility bills. I know several who have gotten help while we wait for the politicians to get their collective heads out of their asses and pass another stimulus check.

Trans woman will be a judge at the Olympics

Blog About:

Author:

There will be at least one openly trans official at the Tokyo games, a trans woman named Kimberly Daniels will be one of the judges of canoe slalom, while her daughter will be one of the first women competing in the sport.

What's really cool to me at least is that both are Canadians.

Quebec author not guilty of creating child pornography

Blog About:

Author:

Some time ago there was a blog post here about a Quebec author, Yvan Godbout, who was charged with creating child pornography because his dark retelling of Hansel and Gretel included a rape scene.

The trial has now been completed and M. Godbout has been acquitted of all charges. The judge in the case also ruled that ruled that certain articles of Canada's child pornography laws cast too wide a net, targeting works of literature that don't endorse or promote pedophilia.
