Thankful for your love.

I've been at BCTS for a long time and many of you have expressed kindness to me in that time. I'm so thankful to you all. I just wanted to make sure I had a chance to express that sentiment in case things went really sour.

I live in Portland, Oregon, right next to the ICE center. The demonstration tonight included yelling, explosions and tear gas that got in my 4th floor apartment through an open window. There was no warning. The demonstrators were attacking without warning. I almost went to the hospital but some medication stabilized me.

Peace to you all.

Just found out

I guess I had been oblivious to the fact and just found out that Pennsylvania's Secretary of Health, Dr. Rachel Levine, is transgender. A news article that appeared on a web site about things happening in PA told how she was helping the trans community by being open about her status. This while working to keep everyone safe during this "plague" with reminders about mask wearing and other safety precautions.

Big storm hits Davenport Iowa

We had a big storm roll through Monday just after noon. No tornadoes but wind speeds equal to one. Severe lightning, torrential rains and all that come with a bad storm.

I happened to be home when it hit, having taken the morning off for a doctor's appointment and returned home to have lunch. Watching the wind and rain outside reminded me of hurricanes when I still lived in Florida.

The good part was it left as fast as it came in and within two hours the sky was clear. Although it left broken trees, power poles and over 100,000 without power.

Gender Stereotyping CNN Article

https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/11/health/tomboys-lisa-selin-dav...

I am angered by the ignorance in this CNN Article. It's all about it being OK for girls to be Tomboys, and just goes on and on. Yet, if a boy tends to be effeminate, many of us know there is hell to pay.

It is amazing that they had the cheek to publish this article.

Boy, 16, given estrogen at L.A. juvenile hall... results in breasts

The news article read like a Big Closet story and will certainly result in some new stories. I am posting this because people on this site have an interest in the subject material. We're all in this together, right?

This kid was in custody and was given estrogen to cure his bad behavior; like a 'bad boy to good girl' or a 'forced estrogen/forced femme' premise. "A 16-year-old boy being held at a Los Angeles County juvenile hall developed enlarged breasts after he was prescribed estrogen to treat a behavioral disorder..."
