well okay, a lot excited!

Why? I hear you ask, well I was roused from my slumber this morning by a DPD delivery, my 'new' PC has arrived - it was a bit of a surprise as they said delivery would be at the weekend.

I say new, its a refurb job which means I've got more bang for my buck than I'd otherwise be able to afford, 8g RAM and a 1TB HD, 21" screen, a wifi dongle and it has warranty and a new kb/mouse combo. I need to sort out power sockets but guess what i'll be doing later? hopefully i'll have it up and running later, just need to sort out the software then, the part I really hate.

Well apart from the new 'toy' this week has so far been fairly ordinary. Monday I had a bit of a walk, it was quite warm and sunny for St David's day then got down to the advanced plotting of the new Nena tale, Nordic Noir. I don't think its much of a spoiler to tell you that Chris reluctantly ends up as his alta ego once again on a new tour to Sweden - of course, there will be consequences along the way as we meet characters new and old. If things go to plan it should be out at the end of March.

Yesterday was somewhat cooler and greyer than Monday, I dragged myself out on the bike and headed east, hoping to make use of the easterly on the way back. Through Aqua Sulis, along the A4 then up Box Hill before starting a laney route to my lunch halt at Kingston Langley north of Chippenham. It was pleasant enough sat with the weak sun breaking through the ever present fogginess, a few daffodils adding some colour to the greyness.

Then it was back on two wheels for the ride up to Malmesbury before heading across the 'wolds to the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, I treally ought to go for a look around sometime. From there it was lanes most of the way back to Brizzle, the sun finally breaking free but the temperature not rising more than a degree or two. 107km, not exactly epic, my time off riding in Jan and Feb has put me well behind my 'target', but more rides like this will help chip away at the 900km deficit.

Todays Gaby chapter is Huh!, the truth about Mfanwy is spilled and not everyone is happy. Of course, there will be repercussions down the line much as the increasing dissemination of 'Gaby's' secret will have knock on effects. So, with all this and more, I encourage you all to have a read.
