The school crossed Federal Laws

BarbieLee's picture

Federal law prohibits public institutions such as public schools from implementing policies that discriminate based on gender or sexual orientation. One would think those who are in charge of training young minds to become responsible adults would know the laws almost as well or better than lawyers. But alas, human nature means resisting change, especially if it goes against what they learned themselves back in their schooldays. Which as unbelievable as it may be, lead in some instances to allow bullying to keep the unconventionals and non conformists in their schools in line.

Makes great fodder for stories like those on BCTS but leaves broken spirits and even lost lives in their wake. It's said freedom comes with a price as it isn't free. Change also comes with a price and it too also extracts the ultimate sacrifice at times.

If God loves me, He will tell me I really wasn't a part of the human genome when I return home.

reminds me of the chorus of Jesus Was A Capricorn...

charlie98210's picture

This kind of story reminds me of the song by Kris Kristofferson, Jesus Was A Capricorn, particularly, the chorus.

chorus:
'Cause everybody's gotta have somebody to look down on
Prove they can be better than at any time they please
Someone doin' somethin' dirty, decent folks can frown on
You can't find nobody else, then help yourself to me

How?

I can barely get one color applied neatly and smoothly. And then mess it up trying to add a clear topcoat. How do you do these elaborate multi-color nail art jobs?

Hire an expert

I used to get my nails done in a little shop near the beach and the lady there could paint tiny flowers, butterflies, flags, or kittens on my nails in just a few strokes. Amazing. Added cost was $1 per nail, of course, this was 20 years ago.
