I'm glad to report I've nearly finished working on my New Year's gift to you. Unfortunately, I didn't finish it in time to post on New Year's nor is it one of my fiction works I imagine most of you would rather read.
I've been working on a moderately sized work that gives some investment and financial information that may be helpful to some. It covers the basics from calculating expenses and creating a budget, gives some potential career advice if you are earning a low wage and want to move into a new profession while getting paid for training, and the more complicated investing advice.
Currently it is mostly written (~75%), but needs to be polished and I need to collect some information to replace the xyz placeholders. Lastly, I need to collect some charts for visualizations and some screenshots to show how to read bid-ask spreads and options contracts.
As for the investing strategies it starts with the assumption that you don't know anything beyond there is a stock market and gradually works-up to more complicated strategies like Covered Calls, Credit Spreads, and Iron Condors.
Hopefully this is something they'll let me post here and at least a few of you will find useful.

Turns out it's harder than I expected
I ran the rough draft by some family members that aren't familiar with investing and they were left with a lot of questions. I've taken the rough draft and am treating it like an outline as I create graphs and tables to better illustrate some points. I am also reworking many of the chapters as they do not cover enough of the basics for later points to click. I shouldn't be surprised, consolidating my background in finance into a 100ish page book is difficult or more people would do it. One day I'll show it to a friend or family member and it'll click, and then I know it'll be ready for you. I was also smart enough to add a bunch of legal disclaimers so that's nice. As I've never heard from mods I assume it is okay.
