Chapter 5.

The rest of the school day is a blur.

Melissa’s hotel in DC was as boring and anonymous as only a chain hotel could be.

The dense woods north of Whateley's main campus lay shrouded in darkness. Moonlight filtered through the autumn canopy, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor as Ethan, Kira, and Jordan moved silently between the trees. The night air carried an unusual stillness—no insects chirping, no nocturnal creatures rustling in the underbrush—creating an eerie, expectant atmosphere.

Chapter 5

“I believe you’re right, Willow. It seems to be quite popular.”

“If the take-up of albums remains at half the views, that means that they’ve sold four hundred thousand.”

“My word. That’s almost enough for a gold record, or whatever they give out for a digital offering. These are local Coventry boys, you say?”

“I think so.”

Exams over, we had a few frantic days in London buying up what we thought that we would need for the Summer. This included one more dancing costume each. Encounter

As I entered the house Linda was still at her sewing machine working on another dress design. I was just getting home from work, two hours later than normal.
